First time coming this ER. Waited in the ER almost 3 hours and never got seen. There were people there for 9 hours that never got seen. I truly believe they are just there to bill you and collect a paycheck. Going to Euclid Hospital, my normal place. Excellent Care, in and out in an hour, 1 1/2 hours tops.

While the Cleveland Clinic does provide many excellent services I have to say that my husband's 5/3 experience at the Emergency was not the excellence I expected. I brought my husband into Emergency with a recurring brain tumor and brain bleed. Emergency took vitals and had him wait at least 1/2 hour in the waiting room - with a brain bleed. CC had his prior records and knew his situation. He could have died there in the waiting room. Might have also had brain damage to due the extended wait.

Do not go to this ER facility. There was no care provided to my father who sat here in agonizing pain for over two hours. We are currently trying to decide whether or not to just leave and go to UH. This is inhumane.

Completely ridiculous. I waited for 2 and a half hours with a severe kidney infection and they made me wait due to my condition not being too severe . I was hospitalized for 3 days because of this condition. DO NOT COME HERE. They do not care for their patients.

This place should be shut down. They treat people like CRAP you have to walk through METAL DETECTORS and get searched like your a criminal, then you wait at LEAST 4 hours just to be seen, the chairs are horribly uncomfortable and they will lie about your tests being normal and send you home without any real testing even after vascular surgery. They don't hook you up too a monitor so if you have a heart attack oh well you're dead cause the nurse will only come once every hour. Don't go to this ED

Watch out for certain second shift nurses if you choose to visit this facility. One of the WORST ER experiences concerning bloodwork techniques and bedside manners of nursing staff that I have ever experienced! I traveled 3 hours to visit this emergency room that was recommended to me and I will never visit this ER facility again! I trusted this ER because I am a patient of Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease Institute and find their services highly professional and desirable as a patient. This is NOT the case with the Main Campus ER staff. On November 30, 2020, after traveling 3 hours in severe pain from a suspected intestinal blockage, I was oddly greeted by a male nurse with oversized biceps and an accompanying, short-statured female nurse with blondish hair who both refused to listen to me as a dehydrated patient with small veins due to having no large intestine. I am a long-time, experienced, dehydrated patient who is used to needing 7 sticks before an IV or bloodwork for the last 20 years with no negative reaction or response on my end. I am known as a calm patient that nursing staff appreciates because of my humor and respect and often medical staff think that I am actually a nurse! Brad, the male nurse, immediately tied the tournequette tighter than I've ever experienced in my life. It was aggressive and uncomfortable. At the time, I wondered why he was acting that way. I told him that I was dehydrated and a difficult stick. I requested a smaller-sized needle. He ignored me and used the largest needle, 18 gauge. He jammed it into a brachial area and I asked him to stop. He told me to be quiet and proceeded to ignore my pleas. Because I had been unable to eat any solid foods for 2 weeks, I was weak and starting to pass out. When I noted out loud to the other nurse (the shorter, blond-haired female) that I was feeling sweaty and light-headed and that I was going to pass out, she acted irritated and responded, "Good! We hope you DO pass out so that we can get this done faster!" She proceeded to the other side of the table and started to place a needle in my right forearm. Brad had removed the other mess he had made on my left forearm and was starting in the crook of my left arm now. They both proceeded to jab me with needles in each arm at the same time. I turned and looked into the eyes of the blond nurse on my right and asked why they were both inserting needles. She said so they could get some blood. [Note: the blood samples that these 2 nurses took from me never clotted due to erroneous phlebotomy techniques on their end, so another nurse had to take more blood from me, the same ones a second time]. I told her she was hurting me and asked what sized needle she was using (I typically require a 22-24 gauge due to small veins). She retorted that she HAD to use that size for a CT with IV contrast (Note: I had scopes and procedures scheduled with gastroenterology the next day. I only visited the ER, as per my doctor's instructions, to evaluate
my electrolyte level and
to receive IV fluids to rehydrate for my scheduled outpatient EGD, Pouchoscopy, and CT Enterography with IV Contrast the next day). She proceeded to jam the needle further into my arm and when I looked into her eyes, I could literally see the sadistic pleasure she was feeling by knowingly hurting me. When I asked for someone to call my gastroenterologist, those 2 rude nurses laughed and snapped, "Where do you think you are? You're in an ER and we have a doctor!" I only wanted them to talk to my doctor to confirm my details. I cried and yelled, "Leave my room" bc I didn't trust them. Finally, a female doctor was able to meet with me and properly take my blood. Four out of 6 of the medical personnel that attended to me that night acted like it was their first night on the job. Two of the nurses acted like they didn't care. I found out later it was the end of their shift. So, they must be "those" types of nurses that enjoy hurting their patients. If you like incompetent, rude nurses, then Cleveland Clinic Main Campus ER will be a perfect match for you.

Quick yet thorough triage to access patients' distress. I was suffering with an acute asthma attack, after not suffering with one in several years. Everyone, let me reiterate everyone, treated me with professionalism and genuine compassion.

Was told I wasn't sick enough to be seen even though this was my diagnosis...Sepsis and septic shock can result from an infection anywhere in the body, such as cholysistitis (inflammation of the gallbladder), pneumonia, influenza, or urinary tract infections. Worldwide, one-third of people who develop sepsis die

I could not be happier with the level of care we received. Every member of the staff here has been absolutely amazing. Everyone that walked in our room was completely thorough making sure they were 100% positive they were making the correct diagnosis. Even the little things beyond the doctors. The person that took my mother to the x-ray room noticed she was cold. He stopped, ran a nurses station to his left and came back with a blanket. They truly put the patient first.

The only reason I'm giving this ER 2 stars is because of the staff that took care of me. They were helpful & pleasant. Otherwise, the cleanliness of this hospital was terrible. I made sure not to touch anything with my bare hands. There was NO hot water in the restroom. It was barely lukewarm, and thank GOD for toilet seat covers. Eeeek!

My mother went in, 84 yrs old, yes she was dying, life had finally. Caught up with her, she had lived a good life, a full life, had seen her children grow up grandchildren, and 2 greatgrand children, this place sucks, not a single worker can give good directions, yes this place is huge, can walk for 30 mins lost in this place, I. Am a university hospital person, Cleveland clinic is to big for its own good, employees. Just walking around, knowing that there there just to collect a paycheck, doctors and nurses, they excelled. In taking care of my mother and making her time left as peaceful. And comfortable as they could possible do, she died with dignity. All do to the medical staff, the rest of this place like I said sucks, other hospitals parking is free, they even charge for water just because they put it in a container,

My brother was in severe pain and was left waiting in the emergency room for hours. It was very humiliating! I feel most of the doctors and nurses there lack empathy and compassion there. I feel this hospital only care about money and not about the wellbeing of their patients.

Called the nurse button for wAter and eventually they said we'll tell the nurse but yet still no where to be found. ER Is not like the rest of Cleveland clinic for sure.

This is by far one of the worst places to go to get emergency help. You can expect to wait at least three hours even if you arrive in an ambulance. The front desk will tell you that they don't know anything and leave you to suffer from your afflictions in the waiting room. The front desk nurse told me "I have seen people wait for 6 hours to be seen".
Thus you may be better off dying in the comfort of your own home or you can drive to an emergency room that is much farther away.
So the rules are:
1. If you are not damn near dead don't go here.
2. Don't think that they will help you without you waiting an insane amount of time. (3-6) hours.
3. Bring a cot, blanket, and whatever else you need because you are going to need it while you wait.
Cleveland Clinic needs to get their act together.

We were immediately greeted by a sweet man who got my daughter a wheelchair, smiled and wished us well. Registration was quick and the man who took our info was very helpful. We were taken to triage almost immediately. Doctors, nurses and everyone we encountered were kind, helpful and courteous. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. We are so glad we chose the Cleveland Clinic!

One of the better experiences i have ever had it if a hospital. Came in from out of state for testing. Staff was polite and helpful, appointment times were on target with no long waits, hospital food was actually edible, although if you like a regular coke or Pepsi you are out of luck since they only serve diet in campus. After the testing was through and we found out that a procedure would be needed they opened up time in the schedule the next day so that we wouldn't need to make another flight to the hospital.

I traveled for hours this is supposed to be the best care in the country don t waste your time !! The ER is a JOKE!!

Its so sadd when you come to cleveland clinic.. the lobby was very nasty from last night its 645am and the lobby was the worst. Nasty enough that i wanted to stand the whole time. Then triage nurse that in the white light skin short with glass was very rude. The way she handled the lady before and then how she handled me. I asked a question and got a smart answer. I dont know if she have a lack of sleep or just dont like question but thats part of your job, sorry to inform you that. The wait in the lobby did not sound like an working environment more like a high school lunchroom you hear them laughing and talking from the back in the lobby. Emergency service that cleveland clinic provide is a joke. They show that they are there for the money and not the passion of helping people. The pictures i taken are just some pictures from the lobby it was worst then this but when they seen me taken pick the first picture they try to clean up the place.. the Puerto Rican officer even told a man to shut up. The professionalism is not in this place at all.
