Calvin was nice enough to adjust my glasses that I got somewhere else. They have a great selection of well made glasses - which I need since I tend to bend glasses out of shape. Ended up getting 2 pairs.

If I could give zero stars I would. These people don't even have a scheduling tool for appointments. I had to call several times because they go on lunch break for several hours each day and then when you finally reach someone, she says she'll call you back later in the day for an appointment - then you don't get a call back. I called the next day and she said they were booked up for the next month and would call me later to schedule something - they literally had no way of just putting a date and time in the books for me when they finally had availability.

I called Eye Works of San Mateo instead and it took 5min to schedule something. Happy I left clear optometry - they really suck.

Avoid this shop at all costs. I had a purchased a pair of frames that were defective after 2 months. Shop was unresponsive and strung the process along for 2 more months and refused to refund the full amount paid for frames and lenses when the shop could not source replacement frames.

Terrible service and staff, would never do business with them again.

Love Clear Optometry! Dr. Katherine Chan, T, and staff are awesome! Super friendly, patient, and professional. The office is clean and has a great selection of frames. My husband and I are very happy with the service. We have been customers for 10+ years. ... and always enjoy the yogurt bar : )

Wrong prescription given for this pricey eye exam ($120+). Not knowing this, I had my designer glasses (from optical underground in SF) fitted with special blue light reflecting lenses (from optical underground's vendor). I put them on and was annoyed that they made me feel dizzy, worsened my vision (compared to no glasses), that anything 6+ ft looked blurry.

I got another eye exam at Jins for $50, and they use much more advanced technology to boot. The result? Glasses that actually help me see clearer!!! Wow.

The only perks to this place: at least the sunglasses for pupil dilation looked cool and the froyo was good. 1.5 stars instead of 1 for that reason.
