Power goes out like when we have hurricanes like every other power company it's no one's fault. Clay electric gets electric back on in a timely manner and employees are nice and friendly when you give mutual respect thst they deserve and they are a lot cheaper then jea!

Worst customer service, needed my electricity turn back on quickly because my daughter was extremely ill, and I explained all of that to them. They took ALL day to come back, and I have to call two more times before anyone came out. Everyone I spoke with was extremely rude, and disconnected. HATE this company

Clay electric is a joke . Every time the wind blows more than 10 miles an hour at the Ravines the power goes out . It's their job to keep the power on and they don't do that . I have called them repeatedly about this problem and they always brush it off like it's not their problem . Maybe it's time for a class action lawsuit from everybody in the county that has problems with them . If I could buy power from somewhere else I would .

Have been trying to pay my bill on their website and every time I have a problem, now its telling me that my bill is less than $10.00 and that my zip code is incorrect, when it clearly states it on my account. but if I don't pay it tonight, I'm sure I will be cut off tomorrow. I'm so annoyed at this point, I even tried to use the automated teller and pay over the phone, same problem?????

Terrible shutoff notification- inflexible bill payment (who gives less than 30 days to pay a bill?)- expensive (My bills were less living in a larger home with a hot tub in CA!)- payment system is an absolute nightmare.

Update August 2018- this COOP continues to be the most repugnant company I have ever dealt with. Payday loan companies have more ethics than them.

One star is being way to nice! Beyond disrespectful from the workers especially the manager. They do not deserve anyones buiseness and I really would like to switch back to JEA were i never had an issues and was always greeted pleasantly and with respect. Clay electric is by far the worst company i have ever delt with and i cringe every time i have to pay my bill, they dont deserve my buisness at all!!!!!!!

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They will shut your power off without any warning. We were only 5 days late with our payment come home power is out. 7 pm we come home can t get into our home. Kids need to eat and shower. This is a pathetic company who s only purpose is to drive up prices. JEA gives you notice and 30 day grace period. Not these clowns. Makes me regret living in Clay County.

How can you report a power outage if the line is busy. Even tried to look at the power outage site but it is saying unavailable, then what good is it. Not being able to at least get through and get a recording is ridiculous. At least with jea you can get something.

Crooks running a monopoly on Clay County residents. After paying your monthly bill in full, they charge your account DAYS LATER without notification to you, the customer... Adding subsequent billing fees such as an additional late fee and MONTHLY deposits in addition to the original deposit that you paid when you "joined the co-op". I don't think that they understand the definition of the word "deposit". It's either that or they hope that you, the customer don't. In all honesty they just made up the term "monthly deposit" to call this 99.00 fee that would help their attorneys win in a possible law suit by dodging what it really is.

Because of the lack of notification, you become stuck in a perpetual cycle of paying double the amount of your regular bill because you are charged the same fees the following month once again.

The company shuts your electricity off 15-25 days since the last time your account was brought to a zero balance, holding you hostage until you pay them the amount it would cost for 60 days of service once again just to have power restored for an additional 15-25 days.

Don't even get me started about the customer service during catastrophic events that they have time to prepare for but choose not to, like they tell every resident they should have.

This place charged us 200+ dollars for an outside electronic box that primarily benefits them and then hurricane Dorian rolls through and barely touches us and we still loose power. (An entire day after the storm passed).

This is the 2nd time our electricity is out and there wasn't a storm or anything. When you try to call you get a busy dial. If we don't pay our bill they cut your electricity but no one answers when you call. This is terrible service.

For a co-op company they sure don't no how to provide good customer service. Urine poor planning for hurricane Irma. Inadequate man power and resources to clear trees from power lines, that are not broken. All I can say is be prepared for the next board meeting and election of officers. One final point, this from a insider at the co-op, ALL elected officials and other VIP's get priority in having their power restored.

Ok. Power restored and it is 6:12 pm. I have to say that was pretty quick not to mention that it was raining.

Power is out on Knightboxx but the surrounding areas down Blanding and Knight Boxx have power. And when you call them no answer. They even turned off the phone lines. What a garbage ass company. No one to answer any questions about service! Thanks for caring...or for the lack of care!

Forgot to pay one months bill it is 14 days late and they turn it off with no call or email anything. I have a 500 deposit so it s not like they won t get the money. Why can they give a courtesy call the day before turning it off. I have animals in the house and it s over 96 degrees outside. This is a horrible non caring company.

Their so called automated customer service is a joke. I press 1 for power outage then type in my phone number - - "nothing like that in their systems" so they transfer me to an agent .on hold for 15 min finally gave up and hung up. When on hold all I get is beeps, pongs and a lot of static and distorted music .is that what they call "on hold"?
