LOVELY ship, crew, and experience. We have taken numerous boat cruises around the world, and spouse and I both felt this was one of the most enjoyable, and certainly the best value for money spent. We booked an early September Sunday brunch cruise - listed as $86 per person, but we paid about $160 total after a discount and taxes and fees were accounted for. Check-in was a breeze, and they promptly started boarding the Manhattan II at 9:45 AM for our 2 hour and 45 minute brunch cruise around the entire island of Manhattan including 1 alcoholic drink, coffee/ tea, and all the food. Also, half price mimosas (making them $4.50 each) the entire trip. The boat is small and cozy - it probably holds no more than 40 people, and there were probably 25 of us for our trip. The crew was all very friendly and courteous, always offering to take pictures and bring more drinks around. The boat was beautiful and very clean and quiet. As we cruised by the Statue of Liberty in this classic sleek boat with plenty of space to ourselves on the front deck, while going by the gigantic tourist bus boats, we felt like royalty. The food was great and plentiful - probably the only slowdown was everyone waiting for a turn at the waffle station. Most importantly, they point out a few key sights every 2-3 minutes, but there is not a loud annoying droning commentary running the whole trip, in fact, quite the opposite in that they had some great relaxing music just barely audible in the background but not enough to distract you from holding a conversation and enjoying the sounds of being out on the water. Well done!! Don't forget to deposit a gratuity for the great crew on your way out (I suggest 10-20% of your cost - similar to a restaurant, if you had a nice time). Our cruise actually arrived back about 10 minutes late due to a lock halting traffic on the river, so do allow a little time in your plans for such things. Highly recommended - a top notch experience for not much more than if you went to a nice restaurant for breakfast.
