Citywest Convention Centre & Hotel Review

I attended a conference and was pleased with the set up. The toilets were spotless and kept that way all day. I was only disappointed that I had to ask for a vegetarian meal so had no choice and then was charged 13.00 the same price as the meat dishes. I thought this was a bit steep for a pasta dish. Also there was only bottled water available costing 2 for 500mls.

A beautiful resort with great views and lots of rooms.
The staff are very nice too.
They had a great breakfast selection and was decently priced.
A bit away from city and the airport. Yet, it was worth every penny.

Would always go back when in Dublin!

Breakfast very good but I had trouble understanding foreign staff. Smarter on the second morning. Spa was good. Hairdresser excellent.

Nice place to stay and dine. Lemon Grass the Chinese on the hotel ground s highly recommended for a nice dining experience.

The whole place looked pretty well in need of a sprucing up. The facilities were good though and breakfast was excellent, with great service from the staff.

The citywest is a beautiful hotel, it caters for lots of different functions, the staff are very helpful

Queues for check in from 3pm are ridiculous. Literally out the door. Got into room at 5pm.

Nothing fundamentally wrong with this hotel but be prepared to be a number. This place is VAST.
Decor is dated and carpet in my room becoming threadbare but clean. No plugs at key locations such as by bed or desk. Kettle ended up on the floor to boil.
TV tiny and sound was awful, to the point it wasn t worth watching.
Internet so slow at times it couldn t be used.
Breakfast very disappointing. Tea and coffee out of big vats, orange juice didn t taste of orange.

Had a wonderful time and hug from Mother Amma, I think for her it was the best venue in Dublin so far.

While the room was clean and basic for the price 113 , stay well clear if thinking of having anything to eat especially breakfast. I travel with work and I have never in all my years met with the likes of the breakfast chef for this hotel. Her manner was discourteous , disrespectful, impertinent, inconsiderate, rude and she could certainly do with a training course on how to deal with the public. She even went as far as humiliating me in front of other guests, which was totally uncalled for ,uncivil I could go on. I complained to the receptionist when I checked out on the 26th of January and she said she would report it to the duty manager. With the way I was treated I was expecting an email or phone call straight away. I get that everyone has an off day but to be rude and snappy to customers is totally uncalled for and with an attitude like this going in to work if I was the hotel I would pay her to stay at home.

It's a fantastic hotel but because it was our first time in this massive hotel we had such a hard time figuring out where our room was. The staff were helpful but didn't take us to the room even after reporting twice that we couldn't find the room. But nevertheless it was a great hotel.

Bit of a rabbit warren when navigating your way around. Could do with a site map for people attending convention type things. Otherwise very helpful and friendly staff.

Noise from neabouring bedrooms until early hours. Dinning staff were overwhelmed by sheer numbers of guests at dinner time felt sorry for them, they did best.

This hotel has lost its way, I arrived on Sunday and no bar meals due to refurbished but no cheap alternative offered or given and restaurant upstairs flabbergasted me when I had to pay extra for potatoes! Monday saw my room not serviced and although a speedy response no offer of a free drink or starter meal, they just do not seem bothered with their customers? I have, I think been generous with 2 stars and will not be going back after over 10 years of frequenting this hotel.

Rooms are spacious but furnitures a bit are outdated. The hotel property is so big that like a maze. Pretty good for your buck. WiFi is notorious slow. Location is also great, tons of restaurants near by.

The perfect place to spend your holidays relaxing. The Citywest Hotel has 95 hectare of what to walk around and discover horizons. There is also a swimming pool with Jacuzzi, heated seat, sauna and Turkish bath. In short, I really enjoy my holidays there. This is a hotel that I recommend !!!

An advanced factory. More than 770 rooms. Impersonals necessarily but clean. Restaurant not tested.

Speedy check in. Pleasant and freindly staff. Great rooms (blue section best). Great service at the bar. Lousy resturant limited menu and not cheap great service front of house. Better off walking to Lemongrass restaurant bigger menu and nicer food.

Beautiful hotel and rooms in a great location. Very helpful and genuinely friendly staff. Nothing overpriced, go for a swim or gym session and work up a good appetite as breakfast is superb. Definitely recommend Citywest Hotel for a well earned break

Very busy, large hotel. Room was nice but hotel itself is worn. Breakfast was disappointing. Concentrate juice and pay extra for a "good coffee"!

Had a Filet at the Restaurant...Medium was well done....Salat with tasteless dressing.
At this price a no go.
Spa u have to pay for Sauna.
Waiters at the bars are slow and unfriendly if u doesn't fit in a high class optic.
No one said good morning, hello or anything else to us...we were traveling in group of 4.
2 stars only for the clean room.

I have not stayed the night there but i have been to a few trade shows and conferences.
It is a good location, close enough to Dublin City, lots of parking and nice food.

Staff was great and very helpful. We really enjoyed our relaxing night away..

If you need a hotel of decent quality located outside the City right on the N7 then this is the best choice. Always a busy place with lots going on. Decent golf course attached and the fab Lemongrass restaurant just a short walk from the hotel.... won't win any prizes for service in my experience but no major problems.

We had our Christmas party there.. they had amazing entertainment.. and good was amazing as usual

Traditional full service hotel. Excellent and welcoming staff. Choice of restaurants. Very large bar with a good choice of whiskies and they serve a great pint of Guinness.

A top class hotel situated in a sleepy village with easy access to the city by light rail system. It also has its own golf course and excellent gym and swimming pool.

On Saturday 26 October I called in for tea and sandwiches their was 3 people in our group and 2 children we got toaster sandwiches and tea these sandwiches was pre pack we asked for two toasted sandwiches one plain my friend enquire are these all toasted waitress turn and address me as she wanted it plain such mad manners you don't address a person as he or she mary

A monstrous, but definitely stylish hotel complex in the middle of nowhere. Quiet, clean, good bar. Golf course next door.

Breakfast amazing

Went to watch a 1230 football match today at Swift Bar at Citywest Hotel. Rang previously to confirm the bar would show the game.
Arrived at 12 to find the bar closed but the cafe staff opened it and said the tv would be turned on shortly. 20 mins later it still wasn't on and other people walking into the bar were being told it was closed and they couldn't order a drink.
It seemed there was no clear idea if it was open or not and turning a tv on was s military exercise.
Myself, my brother and father walked out.
A joke really and if you want to watch sport in peace go elsewhere. Soulless and just seems like everything is an ordeal. Won't be going back.

first Night very disappointed with Bed in superior room mattress was very uncomfortable flat on both sides & lumpy in the middle got very little sleep Next Morning before 7am we asked could the mattress be replaced
During the day Which did Not happen so That Evening They said we could Change Rooms Which we did at this time The Staff were very pleasant Tried everything to Help Again unfortunately the bed was better but still uncomfortable on the Third Night the bed was so uncomfortable I had to sleep between to chairs
Over all the first room We would give 1star the second Room 4stars But Not The Bed I would Give Two Stars Very disappointed as Their Beds Were very uncomfortable

Wonderful hotel great food, great facilities, top class rooms and a five star golf course. Can be a bit expensive but worth it in my opinion.

I didn't stay here, but I attended the hotel yesterday morning for a meeting. From what I saw I would not stay here. The floor of the bar/restaurant was filthy, stained carpet, really awful actually, looked like the carpet hadn't been hoovered in a very long time. I ordered a coffee which was 4.10!! My colleague ordered a tea which was 3.95!! Ridiculous prices, the coffee was luke warm and awful, and tea didn't look much better. Staff were ok, we waited for maybe 6 minutes before anyone approached the table to ask if we wanted to order, even though we were the only table there.

I have stayed here multiple times and the atmosphere is very communal with a hot bed of international cultures. Staff always try to accommodate to your needs very well

Yes I was there for the darts loved it, also great service, and friendly as busy as the staff were.yep great.gas.

Was going to the exhibition centre signposted badly where it tells you to go straight you actually need to go right at roundabout. As straight is a no entry

Lovely staff, but rooms are in serious need of upgrading - they look like they have not been touched for 30 years. The room TV is tiny, and so out of date that it doesn't have an HDMI socket. Bed was on the soft side, again mattress felt close to needing to be replaced. Room size was good, but no air conditioning. Like I said, rooms in serious need of upgrading. Not a 4 star hotel for me based on this
