The receptionist are useless! Do not have a clue what they are talking about. Don't understand why they can have the right to ask why you need an appointment as it is... it is personal and are they qualified? No. The nurse i finally got an appointment with after waiting over a week even thought the advice the receptionist gave me was unbelievable and said I needed a doctors appointment not one with a nurse for a start! Shocking.

I have completely ran out of my antidepressants, despite ordering it multiple times through the app. Explained to the receptionist over the phone about it, as I am in work. I asked them if they can do an emergency prescription, and they told me that I need to go the gp itself. Again I explained that it ll be difficult for me to get there before it closes, as I ll be in work. Completely disappointed out of my medication and stressed out. Good job!

I have always written good reviews but what on earth has happened, I called all day on Monday, always engaged, my husband had to bring me down Tues right on 10 to get an appointment, the doctor then rings me for a total of 3 rings and then hangs up. You need extra staff or something, sorry the system is letting you down. I've just had a melt down at the lovely young gentleman at reception after having to drive in who calmed me down.

I'm a new patient and I think the surgery has been brilliant already, I really can't fault them. I've been seen on the day of requiring an appointment, appointments have been on time along with excellent doctors who have referred me on to the hospital, without any quibbling. I didn't want to leave my last doctors, but I would have done sooner if I'd known how good city walls are. So far I have always also been seen two days after requiring a routine appointment, rather than a week or longer at my previous surgery. They seem to also have a lot of doctors at this surgery, which was lacking in other surgeries when I was trying to decide where to join. The only point I would make is that my son who is 14 is not allowed to make an appointment online, but I can for him. This is okay if he wants to tell me what the appointment is for, but if he had something personal that he didn't want to tell me, this would be tricky for him, especially as city walls also only offers appointments from 10am and he would not be able to phone at this time or pop in, as he would be in lessons at school and if he phoned later all the appointments are gone by early morning. I think there needs to be a user friendly system for teenagers. Thanks

All the staff are polite and try very hard to attend to your problem. All the doctors make the time to deal with you and explain your treatment. The only downside is getting through on the phone which is a lottery, sometimes within a minute other times it takes two or three days.

I come from the south of england where you are treated as an inconvenience by the surgeries, i love this practice.

Waste of bloody time. Waited three weeks for an appointment they were supposed to arrange and turns out it wasn't even booked! Incompetent! Just help yourself in his world, its the only way to assure success. Leave the NHS for people that are having heart attacks and sort your minor health concerns out for yourself because these people won't help you.

This practice is horrendous. They keep you waiting 1.5 hours outside your appointment time. When asked to complete appropriate patient paperwork needed for a specialist they forget and caused me to cancel very important appointment which I urgently needed to attend. I highly recommend finding another practice in Chester - this has to be my worst experience with a medical practice.

Never come away feeling anybody actual cares. With one exception nurse practioner Rhona. She takes time, listens and makes you feel like somebody actually want a to help you. ALL the Staff and Drs could definitely take a leaf out of her book.
Getting through to reception/ telephone staff - rude and uncaring.
Ridiculous time to ring for an appointment-10am- I'm in work by then and cannot just leave to make phone call. Results- 2pm again I'm in work. Making an appointment was easier at 8am.

This should be free and the receptionist should give you the token after your appointment.
Absolutely shocking sickness tax.

I've been here since I was a baby, my mum swears they're the best around but when you can't book in easily and with plenty of time, how can it be the best? My girlfriend has just rang 98 times, in 25 minutes from the point they said call back, leaving it to ring through and cut itself out. How is this a good practice?

This practice used to be a nightmare and some of the older negative reviews are probably fair. It was hard to get appointments and quite often staff were unhelpful. The last two years has been a transformation. I have made appointments for myself and both my children many times, staff are very helpful and they always make it a priority to see children on the same day. Not sure what has changed, but it's made a huge difference.
