Couldn't ask for a better experience with City Staffing! I tried various staffing agencies in Chicago and only City Staffing made it a personal and successful experience. Fantastic recruiters, friendly staff, and a fun office! They care about their associates and really want to see them succeed.

My experience with City Staffing in Chicago was above and beyond excellent. The recruiters are professional, helpful and the best staffing agency in Chicago. They placed me on an amazing assignment that really helped build my resume and point me in the direction that I wanted my career to go in. If you are looking for work- City Staffing is the best employment agency!

City Staffing is an excellent staffing agency. They are attentive, clear, and easy to work with at all times. They are extremely professional.

They have been able to put me out on assignments both long-term and short-term. They are sensitive to what the client is looking for and matching them with my particular skill-set.

I worked with City Staffing for a four month assignment with a major property management company, who often hires their temps on to full-time status.

I have worked in HR, event staffing, customer service, and reception for City Staffing. They have offered me employment when I was unavailable, but when I am available, they almost immediately have a placement for me.

As an actor/singer, I am so happy with my experience with City Staffing. They understand my schedule and are more than happy to work with me.

I give a one start due to communication a person ask a simple question and get no reply and when general labor was needed after the fact i questioned do they have someone reply was yes for sure i waited all day and no one so i looked up other agency and no problem i was happy and contract with them saved me tons

Was here to make some inquiry and the lady at the reception desk was not so nice. I would not judge them based on that but I did not go there again.

So glad I signed up with this agency! I've worked with them in the past, but when I needed a career change, they responded and got me on a great temp-to-perm assignment! A lot of staffing agencies come and go, but City Staffing has proved themselves as one of the best resources in Chicago for landing the right job!

This is probably the most sincere 5-star review I've ever written. I came to City Staffing after freelancing as a stage manager for two years. Within a week they helped me land a temporary position with a wonderful company which is now my full-time job of over a year! Neala was fantastic to work with as was the rest of the team. I cannot recommend them enough. This is also a great place for theatre/performing artists to find temp work. The staff understands the schedule and is so willing to work with you. I would give 10 stars if I could.

They'll have you give your availability weekly, but won't have anything for you.

I moved back to Chicago in November, signed-up with City Staffing in early December, and was placed in a job by the end of January. That job turned into more consistent work, and became my current full-time gig. Great service, great people (Shout out Amanda!) run and operated by folks who really care and want to help you find work! Best service in the city as far as I'm concerned :)

All of us are trying our best to operate in very strange times right now. With so much uncertainty, it was immensely comforting for me to find City Staffing, and the assurance they brought me as an associate with them. Frankly, comforting enough that I felt compelled to write my first review. Caitlin was my recruiter, and she was energetic, compassionate and a pleasure to work with. Then, Kyle walked me through the on-boarding process with patience and encouragement. I came to understand both Caitlin and Kyle were a reflection of the company as a whole. It is an incredibly positive and hardworking team, and I am very grateful to be a part of it.

Working with City Staffing has been a fantastic experience! The office is professional yet very warm and inviting. I interviewed with City Staffing at the beginning of the pandemic and they were already going above and beyond to take precautions prior to any city/state mandates in order to make their employees and clients feel safe and comfortable. Bonnie worked with me to feel confident in my work history and was able to find options for me, yet allowing me to feel as if I was in the driver s seat throughout the entire process. As I had never worked with a staffing agency before, they provided me resources to assure my success in virtual interviewing. Once I accepted my short-term project, they were very punctual with payroll and checked in on me during my work to see how things were going with my placement. In my first week on the job, I met a co-worker that had worked with Bonnie at City Staffing as well, and we proceeded to discuss what a fabulous company they are and how helpful and friendly Bonnie is. My co-worker had completed her short-term project with an offer to extend to a permanent role. Should you find yourself struggling to find employment, I would highly recommend reaching out to City Staffing. Even if you find yourself in a short-term role, it allows you the opportunity to network while making money and trying out different companies until you find something that s a perfect fit for you.

My experience with this company is lie after lie after lie. These temp agency are all full of themselves. They wont pay into your unemployment. They act as if they own the people who work for them. They only staff people in mail room jobs pay is low and you're bullied at the company they assign you to. Management have there head up there asses. These people wont be in business for too long. Also they don't have direct deposit. Your check will not always arrive on time. Isn't that weird for a company to not have direct deposit. These recruiters don't care about you they just want a percent of what you make which is peanuts. I rather struggle to find work than be with this agency or any other agency in america. City staffing are flakes. And if you are laid off they will lie and the company will lie they assign you to. Do not go to this company stay away from all temp agencies. They will screw you over. People have responsibilities and these imbeciles don't really have a clue of what's going. The recruiters are clueless and careless. You don't own anyone, people are free to employ anywhere. If people stop staffing with you and other agency you wouldn't be in business. Im not going to name any recruiter names but hear my word you can all go to hell because one day you are going be in same boat as other workers who have struggled in these agencies.

This is a great staffing company that really cares about the temps and the companies. They took time with me to find out who I am and what I am looking for. As a result, I was placed in some great assignments. I highly recommend them.

I couldn't be happier with this company. If you've experienced the other options in the city, you will be floored by the level of care, professionalism and respect that drives City Staffing.

From the colorful and chic atmosphere to the genuine interactions I had with every staff member I spoke to, it is clear that City Staffing is doing something right. Juliet, my recruiter, led me through such a helpful and engaging interview - by the end of the thirty minutes I spent with her, I had a completely revamped resume and renewed confidence that my job search was in great hands. I was right. Within 24 hours, I received a call from Caitlin, who had a perfect temp assignment lined up for me that will be turning into a full-time hire position.

I engaged City Staffing to find a sales and marketing analyst. They suggested that I try the analyst on an interim basis first to ensure fit and then move to full time if it looked like a good arrangement for both our organization and the candidate. This candidate had the right skills and even more importantly the right attitude so we hired him. City Staffing anticipated my needs, really understood what good fit looked like for me and my organization and was incredibly responsive. They offer more than just good candidates - they truly understand their clients' needs. I think of City Staffing as a trusted adviser from a talent perspective. They are much more than a staffing firm.

City Staffing has been, simply put, a lifesaver. I was let go from a position suddenly in February with a different agency, and City Staffing landed me my current position in March 2020.

After COVID-19 spread through Chicago, I was temporarily let go from my new assignment. However, City Staffing stayed in communication with me throughout, and even assisted my unemployment process when I had to temporarily file.

In April, City Staffing reached back out to me to resume my current assignment. On my behalf, they negotiated my salary and terms of employment. The process was very smooth, and I went back to work in May, where I am still employed.

I am very grateful of City Staffing, and would recommend their agency to others. It's important to do your part as well, and keep in constant contact. That's key for any agency, really, and City Staffing is definitely communicable.

I cannot say enough great things about working with City Staffing. I essentially started from scratch with the bulk of my skills lying in the service industry supporting an artistic career, and wanted to learn some new skills to potentially move into a permanent position. They succeeded in this endeavor by keeping me gainfully assigned for 2 years on mostly long-term assignments until I was hired full-time at a salaried position.

After interviewing with Neala and Juliet (in one of the cutest offices I've seen!), we created an action plan for me to gain tangible, marketable skills that would make me a competitive candidate in one of the most populated cities in the US. What started out as essentially stuffing envelopes led to database maintenance, which led to the administrative assistance of a committee, which lead to fundraising and marketing skills, which led to meetings and convention-planning, and finally landed me a full-time position with salary and benefits based on my performance and newfound skills.

I could not have done this without the support and guidance of Neala and Juliet. They were always prompt with responses to any inquiries I had, kind, understanding, professional, warm, and motivated. If ever any assignment didn't pan out for whatever reason, they were in my corner galvanizing me to move onward and upward.

City Staffing even remained flexible with my schedule during all this time as well. I still pursue artistic endeavors, and any time an assignment conflicted with one of my established opportunities it was "No worries! We'll getcha on the next one!".

This testimonial is also nothing compared to my fiance, who after dedicating several years to a job he was unhappy with, met with City Staffing to pursue a new position. Within 10 days, City Staffing landed him an interview with what is now his full-time job of four years, where he is happy, successful, and valued.

They're super friendly and care about getting you work. They always have work available from week to week. Popular place for actors.

Specific recruiters cater to only a certain demographic of people. Even when you place up into a higher position with testing they will still try and get you to accept a lower position with less pay. Even after the interview process, testing and arriving downtown for finger prints to the second interview they'll take their favorite people first so they get placed first (even though you got there before them and on time). They'll also continue to send you emails asking if your still interested in job placement and even when you say yes, they'll claim there are no more positions or only the same one available periodically.

The best staffing agency in Chicago. They place you in reputable companies and stay in touch with you every step of the way. My recruiter was Thom and he placed me at a great company where I was able to get my insurance license. I have now made a career out of insurance and it is all thanks to City Staffing !

It was my first time ever applying with an agency and of course I went with City Staffing because of the excellent reviews....it was the best decision I made. I applied, got a sit down appointment with Amanda Frederick who was the best recruiter... and within the next week I got an assignment. I am happy to announce that not only did I get the 1st job that I interviewed for, they decided to hire me on permanently the very first day of me starting....yayyyy!!

I've had many positive experiences with City Staffing. You would be hard-pressed to find a staffing agency that works harder to find people great placement. I've had particularly great experiences working with Caitlin, Mikaela, Neala, and Juliet.

CS specializes in both long and short-term placement and have established relationships with great companies all over the city. If you put in the effort and provide them with the information they need to help you will eventually end up with the right placement!

I respect the fact that many of their staff members are active members of Chicago arts communities (HOT TIP: if you're an actor/improviser/musician/artist this is a staffing agency you should have on your radar). Because of them, I was eventually placed in a fantastic FT writing job with great compensation. Those are hard to come by, and I appreciate the heck out of them for it.

They have been particularly sensitive to the needs of both the businesses they work with as well as their associates as we all muddle through the bizarre new realities of employment in a COVID-19 world. Call them. They'll help.

I had a truly great experience with City Staffing!! I was new to the city and started applying to several agencies in the city. When I met with a recruiter at City Staffing, she discussed their process and explained that job opportunities depend on what requests are coming in and if those match what I'm looking for. I found the staff to be professional and friendly and patient in listening to what my career goals are.

Went into City Staffing with normal expectations. They invited me in for a formal interview to get to know me and what I was all about. Standard procedures. The odd thing was that they sent me an email via Juliet Venturis asking me if I wanted an opportunity to work with them. Wow was I surprised to say the least. Things were looking up right up until the interview for the position started. Juliet set me up for a total waste of time. Both her superiors Daphne and Ellen looked shocked as to why I was interviewing. They wondered why I was even there to begin with. Juliet whom interviewed me obviously gave her superiors no insight as to why SHE ASKED ME TO APPLY IN THE FIRST PLACE. I didn't seek employment from them but through them. They took a good employee relationship and basically asked me to get into bed without the first date. They should have never asked a potential recruitment to work for the home team. Ruined any idea of me accepting any other positions they offer now, based clearly on the fact that they are a mixed bag. HOW CAN YOU TRUST SOMEONE TO SELL YOU WHEN THEY THEMSELVES DONT THINK YOUR WORTH AN OFFER?

I had a great experience with City Staffing. I was pursuing theatre for a long time and they helped keep me afloat while I was pursuing that career. They didn't waste my time with any typing tests, just got me work when I needed it. Eventually, I started considering going to law school. So I told Amanda, my rep, that I didn't care what I was doing I just wanted to be in a law firm to help me figure out if that was truly the path I wanted to take. She got me into a law office right away as a receptionist. The firm started giving me work with legal documents and taught me so much about the field. I gained so many skills that I eventually took a job as an assistant paralegal at another firm w/ a great salary. None of it would have happened if Amanda had not gotten me that first placement. My career has been all over the map, but if you are honest about what your goals are, City can help find the best place for you.

You would be hard pressed to find a better staffing agency anywhere in the US, let alone Chicago!
I was with City Staffing for just under a full year, and for that entire time, I was treated with respect, care and given several wonderful placements. The last of which has led to the full time job I now hold. The people are incredibly friendly, and very responsive. They understand that we all have busy lives, and all want something different from a job, and they're willing to work with you to find a good fit.
The main factor that I loved was that they are on YOUR side. When it comes to a concern with your placement, pay, timecard, or what have you, the folks at City Staffing are in your corner and always willing to take your call to discuss your concerns.
I could go on and on about them, but the biggest testimony is that I now have a full time, salaried position with benefits, at a great company. All with their help.

I was with City Staffing back around 2006-2008 and they were so very good (and patience!) with me. I still remember the time I ended up at a job where the office was actually a dude's basement. On my lunch break I called the office to tell them about the situation and how I didn't feel safe. Without hesitation, my rep was like "don't go back. Go home for the day. That isn't cool or safe. I had a really great experience with City Staffing. I was laid off last year. After a few months of not having any luck finding a job on my own, I decided to go the staffing agency route. It started off slow - a few assignments here and there. But after proving that I was reliable and competent, I started to get more frequent and longer term assignments that eventually led to getting hired permanently.
