City of Kalamazoo Water Supply Review

I am responsible for utilities at 100's of residential properties. The City of Kalamazoo water department is one of the my favorite utility providers. Once you are established user with ontime payments for at least 3 years, they are very easy to work with. I think many negative reports are unfair by persons with less than good payment history. Based on my decade of experience working with this provider every week, turning on new service or turning off accounts, I feel this provider is above average as far as utility providers go.

Why am I paying for sludge? Replacing my water filters early is getting very expensive!

There is brown water coming from my home faucets and toilets. I tried to call city of Kzoo water division 3 times in one day, left on hold for a total of 3 hours. Can not reach a person to get help! Very disappointed that our water payments are being wasted by no service

Just moved here from the Detroit area, is the water supposed to be brown like all the time? Aparently they use ground water? It taste awful someone should investigate this water.....

The women that work in this office are the rudest people I've ever met. Every time I call, they are rude and unhelpful. They should all be terminated.

Twice, now, water turned off on Reycraft in Milwood without PRIOR notice!!!! I ve spoken with Department each time with zero response!!! The woman who answered the phone was nice. The Supervisor is useless!!!!!!!!

There's something about talking to someone through bulletproof glass that's unsettling.

Rude. The opposite of customer service. If there was another option for water service, I would switch immediately.

They are known for not sending out shut off notifications and coming to your house before open hours so you have to pay the reactivation fee because they are closed. They up the rate and lower the quality of water we receive. Only one person had a good review and hes a rich person. Kalamazoo is only out to protect the rich it has been like that for years
