City Harvest Review

6/24/14 I was at the saint marys location for pick up.. got there at 11:20am since I know they close at 11:30 I was told they where already closed while people are still on line, I told the coordinator it was not time for closure and he reply with look at your watch.. when I requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told "you dont run the show here" and was told to go home and that if i was hungry to get a job.. completely out of character.. THIS PROGRAM IS SUPPOSED TO HELP FEED THE COMMUNITY. NOT TURN THEM AWAY.. SPECIALLY WHEN I WAS COUNTING IN THE APPLES MY 9YR OLD WANTED SO MUCH.. SO NO HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME..

City Harvest is an amazing non-profit organization that rescues food and provides it to New York's hungriest.

Great organization that provides various volunteer opportunities that allows you to help fight hunger in New York City. Volunteer opportunities, such as mobile markets and nutrition education events, allows you to get in touch with the clientele and help provide them with nutritious food and educate them on eating healthy.

I'm glad still going strong When I Started ch i was 22 and started donating out of my first bagel shop which now is pick a bagel 77st 2ave I was busy and young I passed what I started in 1984 and glade to see how it grew

City harvest has to do better they give fruits and vegetables that are no good when the families in need get the products. I have got items from city harvest for my elderly parents and multiple times they received items that wasn t editable, I really don t know if the items stay in the truck freezer that deliver the items to the people to long before the people receive them but the are mostly bad.
