What I love about City Garden Grand Hotel is the location. It is in the midst of tourist district, great bars and resto around it. The rooms are adequate and clean, comfiest pillows (they got a pillow menu, like OMGGG!), yeah you can choose whatever pillow obsession you got. Beds are super comfy, too.

30 minutes by taxi from Aquino Airport. It is a prime location in the business district and convenient, but it is far from tourist destinations. Check-in is ok in plain English. The customer base is only businessmen. The rooms are large enough and have all the amenities. Buffet breakfast starts at 6am at the restaurant on the 7th floor. There is a bar with a pool on the 32nd floor.

Specialty? Although there were leaks waiting for the elevator and toilet, check-in / out was smooth and good. The flight was late and it arrived after 23:30, but I was able to get a meal at the BAR on the roof.

I stayed on the 30th floor and was told I had a non smoking room. But I smelled cigarette in the corridor and in my room.
TV got problem. I had no TV for four days.
Breakfast, gym and location are good.

Very clean, right across from a 7/11 (even though they're almost everywhere, keeping in mind im from California). The rooftop pool is amazing and relaxing, especially at night when its it lights up. You get an awesome view of the city.

I loved our stay here!! Kids love the pool and the food too! Our deluxe room feels so comfy and cozy! I super our beds too!!
The only thing I didn't like was the arking. The entrance is soo steep, scary, and soo tight! But not a biggie! Overall, an amazing hotel!

I ve been to Manila a dozen times and have stayed in budget to five-star hotels. I now stay here whenever I get back to Manila. You cannot beat the location if you want nightlife directly outside of your hotel. The hotel rooftop pool and bar offers a wonderful place to spend an evening with awesome views of the skyline. The service is wonderful. The rooms are average. And the price is absolutely reasonable.

Great hotel with nice staff and complete features as advertised. The only reason I'm not going back is that it's more expensive as compared to other hotels with the same features in metro Manila.

(changed to 4 stars from 3. The employees are wonderful and my issues seem to be a little more minor in retrospect Take out the horrible internet and o might even give 5 stars) Hate to give it 3 but here is why: when I called to book it they said their wifi was super fast. It wasn t. Timed out all the time and I literally couldn t work multiple times each day. Seriously 5 star hotel, how much more is it to get high speed and make sure it works? I called specifically to ask them about this because it was important for me. I read other reviews that said it wasn t great and I should have listened. The other issue is the elevators. Literally waited 10 minutes 3 different times for an elevator to the 26th floor. Should t wait more than 30 seconds in any other hotel, a minute at the most. The downstairs lobby was always packed and loud too, was very strange. Anyway, not a 5 star for sure. 4 maybe as the employees were amazing and the rooms were very nice.

The online photos are quite accurate. The hotel is (as of the beginning of 2018) only four years old. It has upscale finishes and features. The biggest facility drawback is poor elevator design. This is a 300+ room hotel in a 32-floor building, and there are only three smallish elevators that are not divided into low and high floors. With only rare exceptions, elevators required very long waits, and it was not uncommon to be squeezed in like sardines. It was also not uncommon to have to skip an elevator for which we had been waiting several minutes because it was already full. The long waits tended to motivate people to squeeze in, even when not comfortable or necessarily socially appropriate. (If I have to inhale when you exhale, we're probably too close.)

The breakfast buffet was impressive and featured a huge variety. We made the mistake, however, of eating dinner at the same 7th floor restaurant one evening. Service was slow, food was excruciatingly slow, they informed us long after ordering they were out of multiple items we had ordered, and the food itself was generally lackluster. It was an overall awful experience. Fortunately there are numerous nice restaurants within two or three blocks.

Guest rooms are very nice. Our kids' two double bed room had only a tub/shower combination. Our standard king room had a separate shower with multiple shower heads.

Views are exceptional, as there are no tall buildings immediately next door, which provides a very nice viewing distance to the main Makati skyline.

This is the third hotel I've stayed in at Makati, and its location was my least favorite. While there are plenty of restaurants nearby, there are very limited attractions within walking distance. It's not walkable to Ayala Avenue, for example.

The room hotel service were excellent, but the truly insane wait time for elevators is really a time waster and frustration.

The night view is good. When I went there was a bad weather, so I closed the door of the pool early. One thing I was uncomfortable with was a fixed amenity. You have to pump about 10 times to get the amount that will come out. The breakfast was delicious !!

Very well located hotel, very friendly staff, the premises are clean, the room is spacious.
The rooftop allows a view of the city while we drink a beer and eat in the restaurant.
The rooftop swimming pool will delight you.
I recommend the pancakes for breakfast

An unexpected discovery for a staycation. Spacious rooms, great tasting food and courteous staff; enjoyed the bar chow at the Firefly while enjoying the sunset; breakfast buffet on Christmas morning at the Spices cafe was wonderful; parking and the long wait at the tiny elevators can be challenging during peak seasons.

City garden grand hotel makati is one of the best hotel that I ve been to. Why? Because the hotel itself is very classy. And the staff are excellent, well trained and accommodating. And their manager as well. Their room is clean and spacious. If you like chilling at night, it s the best place for you. They have a bar at 32nd floor beside the pool area. And the location is perfect. There s Restaurant and fast food chain nearby.
