Circus Circus Reno Review

I stayed here because the rooms are cheap. But they weren't cheap rooms they were relatively nice. I did have to walk down a really long hallway to get to my room. The parking is free and lots of it. As far as the machines paying out no I put in almost $500 over the course of two days but to my demise no luck. But that's the way the luck goes. The arcade and all the game places for the kids shut down at 10 o clock which is unfortunate. But the slot machines are still open to take your money. I did have a good time here. The staff could have been a little friendlier but all in all it was fun.

Enjoyed my stay there. I found the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The Casino as a whole is Nice... Some Middle staff is very rude to the floor staff. Should not be seen on the casino floor. And one more concern is things are starting to look aged. As a 20 plus year Reno Resident i would love to see our beloved Casino brighten up. Thank you. Still a great place to stay.

Circus Circus is a nice hotel located in downtown Reno near the north end so it s a good spot to start exploring downtown. There are several parking garages and indoor access and transportation to other the hotels right nearby, and during the cold weather this is especially convenient!

We were pleasantly surprised - much, much cleaner than when we visited a few years ago. Still feels a bit rough around the edges, but the arcade level games for kids are fun, the staff is friendly and the casino was very nice. $5 min single deck is nice, as well.

It's fine. Kind of a bummer. We were assigned a room that was already assigned to someone else and/or hadn't been cleaned. It looked like someone had just gotten in and then left the room. They gave us a new one down the hall. We got in late so everything was closed. Unlike Vegas, Reno is definitely a city that sleeps. Got in late and nearly everything was closed. We were looking forward to exploring and wandering about but the whole place was practically roped off. Thank God there was a pizza place in the food court that was open til 4am. Pizza was good but stay away from their prepackaged cake, it was nasty.

Fun place for kids. But rooms need major renovations. And slots machines could be a bit more loose

Pleasantly surprised, is how I would title my stay at Circus Circus. We stayed there because most of the local downtown hotels were sold out for the price we were willing to pay.

I thought the room would be run down and dirty but I was wrong. Our room was clean, and updated with a fantastic view from the 23rd floor., and non-smoking.

The staff was exceptional and friendly and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. We have stayed at Silver Legacy, Eldorado, and The Sands all within the last year and I can say for the price Circus Circus was the best.

Table games are only open on the weekend.Your gambling chips are NOT good for ever.Circus Circus can indiscriminately void them and replace them and you are out the money they were worth.

This place is great for kids, doesn't smell of smoke and connected to silver legacy and el Dorado casino aka the Row. Has yogurt place right across from play area. Fun for adults too.

A great place to bring kids. There were a bunch of fun games. It was staffed low because of COVID-19 but everyone was nice and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. The crowd was friendly and not big.

Its ok but the Eldorado an Sliver legacy is a much bigger an better place to stay at

Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and all around pleasant stay (of about 10 days). I had different memories of the place but I will say it has changed entirely and for the better. Remodeled room gets a thumbs up, even for being near the elevator because it was so quiet!

Good room on a non-smoking floor. It was clearly recently updated and refreshed. It was in the North Tower, the closest one to the front desk. I paid about double than usual because demand was high but I was able to save a few dollars using the senior discount. The room is large as is the closet, bathroom, and TV. Nice that they have a grab bar and bath mat for the tub so you don't slip. (I strongly suggest using it.) Lots of counter space in the bathroom but I think they missed an opportunity by not installing a second sink. Beds are kind of high so tough for short people and those with physical difficulties, but not as bad as some.

Changed a bit since my last visit. More games in amusement and arcade were a plus. Place was very clean, parking plentiful, and not much in terms of smoke. The ability to walk all the way to silver legacy was great; if I ever got tired of one area, I could just move on to the next.

We were there for the zombie bar crawl. We had a great time. Luckily Circus circus has a food court that is open late otherwise we would have been some starved individuals. A little disappointed that there are no tables for gambling.

Ok hotel, awesome for kids. Kids area is awesome. Games are hard to win so get ready to spend money for your kids.

Another casino we took the out of town family to. They were not prepared for the new year's day engulfment of children in the Midway. Other then that it was good. The property manager ( I assume that's who it was) should be more discreet when questioning why there is staff that hasn't clocked out yet. Our server was amazing even with the table full of kids

They were good just long waits for the elevators to your room and needed better air conditioning in the casino

Kids had a great time in the arcade. The little shows are a good experience. We missed the dog show. Parking is plentiful. The staff was friendly. The food was really good at the Flavors Buffet. A little expensive for all you can eat. I definitely didn't eat 18 bucks worth of food. The casinos are connected so it was difficult to know which one you were actually in. Just a heads up.

The Casino was good, not so packed on a Monday and the staff were good. They came around to make sure we were having fun often and everything was priced to make us play! Had fun!

Ate at the food court inside circus circus. We ate at Habit Burger. The food came out fast and was very good. The dining area was a little dirty, but it was packed. After we play some games. Overall good time with the family for not too much money either.

For an older hotel it's really nice and the rooms have been remodelled. There are so many things to do in the hotel as well as within walking distance. It's a great price for a nice spot.

Was denied a job here cause of my ADDHD and accused me of being rude which is bs and untrue I find this unprofessional do not work here if u want to be treated unfairly

Stay here between trout opener & visiting my grandkids in Oregon. Nice but a little worn down from use. Personal working here r terrific. Grace @ the front desk was great. Doorman was knowledgeable about were 2 park my truck. (it sits higher then normal) Young bellhops were tops with carrying my luggage. Good selection of eateries. All around good. Personal r the reason 4 the four stars. Would stay here again.

This place was fantastic. We had to leave our original hotel for the evening for horrendous reasons, we called here and everyone was so kind and understanding of our plight. We got some amazingly cute souvenir/complimentary waters and the kiddos loved it. Next time we're going just for the arcades!

Kids had a great time .....food court was even nice

Love how much there is here for kids. The Circus Circus has so many games. My two year old loved winning prizes. Very close to downtown Reno if you like to gamble. The casino has lots of resturaunts and bar areas. Circus Circus hotel has been updated since my last stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Nice motel big clean rooms. Bit of a maze finding your way round. Second day much easier

Visited my daughter today and brought my son here. We had so much fun. I will DEFINITELY be coming once a month while i am passing through town . My opinion.... Best casino in Reno. Especially if you have kids. Everyone has fun.

People have no sense of a personal space here. Restaurants all close at 9pm, which is nothing short of shocking. Thought I'd grab some Panda Express, but they were out of rice, and out of ice. Circus is right...

Love the food there, nice hotel staff and the best place is the arcade area.

We went there for the day and had a blast. Their games are fair and we won lots of plushies. The food was great and so were the circus shows!

Lots of things to do for families and places to eat excellent staff that are always helpful.

The environment here in Circus Circus as well as El Dorado, and the Silver Legacy, which are all owned by one family, and these three locations are very family oriented as well as giving you a wide variety of entertainment! Circus Circus Reno has a very great big location for children of all ages to entertain themselves and have fun!

I love how Circus Circus caters to both adults and children. The live performances are beautiful! The Casino has some really good games, and there's just so much to look at.

Located in the heart of biggest little Town Reno... The Casino hotel has traditional look... Good old Casino... Medium luxury hotel... Enjoy this place... In the homegrown of casino industry. Reno has unique speciality though Los Vegas snached it's place. Right ambience for gambling. Circus feats as n attraction for kids.

So much fun! I need to move to Reno just for Circus Circus!

This is a fun one to stay at on the row. They have little shows every hour or so which is neat to watch. They also have food (pizza) open late.

I visited kinda late, but the atmosphere was still in the groove of things. Won a couple of dollars and then went on my way. Still a Reno foundation.

The rooms are nice and the price is usually very good. Nice people we always have a nice stay.

The cocktail waitress Nicole was very nice...good customer service...

Is a good place to stay with kids. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

We went to one of the bars next to the midway and i didnt know what i wanted to order and the bartender was awesome and gave me options with what I wanted in a drink and I ended up with something super delicious we had a lot of fun I also won $70 there.

We were on the 23rd floor with adjoining rooms. The rooms were very nice, the food court had lots of choices, and the entertainment on the Midway was fun. We'd definitely stay there again!

Better than I expected in the kids cricrus area. I didn't visit the Casino. I would definitely go back to try more.

Circus circus really delivers high quality service for accommodating guests looking to enjoy their time at the popular resort for entertainment, food and hotel reservations. Definitely a place to have fun with family or friends.

There's a kid friendly arcade as well as a casino for adults and the stores have great things

When I went down to the midway they had tons of fun games, and they had a free to watch performance. It's nice-ish.

It was a nice room but my group had a stroller and we had to walk through the casino just to get up to the midway. We also would have liked more channels on tv

Nice clean remolded I stayed 4 days no smoking in the hotel all floors now other than that it was great as always and I will be going back soon

Great tasting pizza that's made to order, baked, and ready to eat faster than a subway sandwich. Lots of toppings options and a great friendly staff who makes excellent reccomendations. I didn't order one myself, but the guy in line in front of me ordered an oven baked sub and it was stacked so high it barely cleared the height of the oven.

My fave but was better When I came here on family vacations when younger...

It's not Vegas, but it's Vegas light. Things move a bit slower. People have time to be courteous to you. It's like Vegas, the retiree version. Don't take that as a bad thing though. It's nice that things are less hectic. Think of it as the Fremont Street Experience but with the strip in it.

Butterworks was horrible! We waited over 40 min when they said 15 min. Then after we order, we waited another hr to get our food. Waitress dissapeared she tried to blame the cook. We recieved our food cold, they remade a couple plates and after all that they only gave a 10% off the bill. It was just a horrible experience. But the hotel is always great!!

We went there for the casino only so not sure about accommodations , the arcade for kids is decent and of course the circus stunts are awesome .

Food wise there is not much options for kids, mac and cheese is the staple food and you don t get it there

Overall I would rate 3* .

Always have fun visiting this casino. Great fun for the whole family. We like the Mexican and Sushi restraunt. The arcade / games are really fun if you have a minor who can't gambling. And the circus shows they have every so often are entertaining.

I didn't stayin the hotel. My family and I only went to the arcade, and the Midway.... we enjoyed it so much that next time we come to Reno we'll most likely book in here.

Havent actually stayed here but Ive gone for shows and the arcade. Everytime has been excellent.

Stayed with my mother helping her with prepping for a procedure. Room was nicely updated and clean. The hallways were clean well maintained. The staff didn't explain how the comp worked for not needed maid service everyday. Also didn't explain how the whole deposit worked.

I left with more money than I took in there. What a great place to gamble.

Kids had a ton of fun! New card system replaced tokens and tickets.

Awesome place for the kiddos to play games and win prizes. Reasonably cheap too.

Pretty average. The decorations and ornaments are lovely. The hotel does lack some useful utility like electric plugs adjacent to the bed, a mini fridge, and a microwave. Hot water takes a few minutes to heat up. The TV is sort of confusing to control. The hotel room is pretty and clean. The lobby floor is polished daily.

Always a great place for the kiddos! One big negative is the place smells like an ashtray! Kids even smelled like cigarettes when we left. But all that aside nice to have a place that we enjoyed as kids still available to take our kids to!

Family activities was nice buffet was way over priced. They had vegetarian options but the pasta was horribly undercooked. They had mac n cheese and 1 pesto pasta tortellini dish both inedible. Great adult night life too we did Kareoke and dancing. The restaurants was great quality. We went to El Jeffe and got Sushi for the kids they loved it and it was a great value. We would go back again.

This place had way more than I imagined. Knowing it's not the one in Vegas I wasn't expecting much but once we went inside it was quite amazing. First off the alcohol slushies where amazing and I definitely drank at least 3 of the bigger ones. And the whole arcade area for kids was quite nice since most these places only cater to adults. While we where there we happened to catch one of the circus shows while walking by. If I'm ever back in Reno will definitely visit again

It's connected to the adjacent hotels so it's awesome.

Love the atmosphere, food, all of it. Especially the Midway. You can see live circus acts and plenty of gaming for the kids.

Machines were old by i always like the circus circus

So much to do here, great restaurants and night life. Property is very clean and the staff is attentive. Really enjoyed it!

I used to bring my daughter here all the time to play upstairs but the games are now a rip off that offer cheap small toys for the same price as I used to get good toys for. Disappointed. So yes it's a mini fair but selection of toys are cheap and also require numerous wins to trade up to a toy you'd even want
