I have been coming to this place for a couple of years and have loved the students and expert instructors. The only reason I took off a star is it seems over time the front desk service has been getting worse with unfriendly calls and unwelcoming attitudes. Definitely doesn't create a good vibe to want to walk into.
Sorry for the late update. Hedi contacted me in a timely manner. And she booked me another appointment to re do the perm. So I got another try. Now it's has been a week since the second perm. Perfect curls! I don't even blow dry my hair. I let it natural dry and its already in a good shape! I appreciate that Semi came in a day which she usually takes off. But I also spent two days in tow weekends for the hair. That's the reason of one star marked off.
I had a facial here done back in May and it was the best experience. Ive never actually had any services done here and also never had a facial done but despite all that the student made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. The instructor that came over for the consultation was super professional and it was clear that the student knew exactly what she was doing. It was all very professional and i left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. Best experience possible i literally could not think of a thing i could nitpick on. Definitely looking forward to when i can go again :)
Although it s the school, I ve always had very professional students, who do their best to treat me like a high-class salon client. And in particular, today I had a fantastic treatment done by a student who has been asked turning at a high-class salon in Healdsburg. As a result, she s learned a lot of tips and tricks from the trade, and was even more professional than I ve had in the past. Furthermore, she did a fantastic job with my hair. Specifically, she did some foil balayage and partial highlights to give me a warmer tone that would make my hair look more natural.
I got an amazing haircut and styling with Jennifer S! She was by far the most knowledgeable student I've had and was very attentive. Cinta Aveda is an affordable place to get a haircut and more. The staff is upbeat and welcoming every time.
Great multi service salon with work performed by students and overseen by teachers. They offer 3 floors: 1st & 3rd floors have hair services & the 2nd floor is for their spa (facials, waxing, & makeup) services. I've been coming here for years and have a pretty great experience here most of the time. If you don't like the work they did, they are happy to try to fix it as long as you let them know within the week of the service being done. They use all Aveda products, which are great. The prices are beyond reasonable, especially for San Francisco.
My bad for deciding to go to a school for a trim. I just sort of assumed anyone in these schools already has some knowledge and passion for hair cutting. Not the case. I would say only come here for a trim to be safe, but, well- you re not safe. I left with I consider the worst haircut of my life but also one that would be awful on literally anyone and now have to spend several hundred dollars on hair extensions to correct the disaster while it grows out.
Maybe fine for men, definitely not for women who care about how their hair looks.
I had a facial at the institute with Sam today. The overall experience was lovely. The esthetician program is phenomenal and the instructors are very kind and are very good at their crafts. I would definitely recommend the institute for a facial or to get your hair done as a lovely well deserved treat to yourself on a budget. Thank you again for the lovely experience!
I got my hair colored here and it's absolutely beautiful. The student did a stunning job. I had virgin dark asian hair and the end result is silky smooth and so vibrant.
I am a student here at cinta aveda and i have never been more embarrassed to be apart of somewhere until now. They dont care about their students, they care about money. Money you give them and in return you will recieve no education for what you are there for. I beg of you dont waste your money. Every student here will tell you the same thing and you will regret ever stepping foot on to their property. All it has is bad juju and needs saging, but even that dont help. If you do choose cinta aveda, i personally wish you luck on your LONG journey.
