This theater is low cost to attend a showing of a first rate film. I have seen Wild, Superman VS Batman, and a few others. The chairs are new and have drink holders. I just saw Once Upon a time in Hollywood. The picture and sound we're great.
My favorite place to watch movies. Reasonable prices for new movies with an old-timey feel.
Cinemagic is reasonably cheap without skimping on any of the customary accommodations associated with the cinema. I've never felt let down by the sound or picture quality, they have supremely comfortable chairs with folding footrests (at least some do, specifically up front), and they're even across the street from little big burger! Can't go wrong.
I love this theater! The curtain alone might just make it the best in Portland, if it weren't for the great seats at Cinema 21.
I love this movie theater. They often show great movies. The beer on tap is excellent and the prices are great. They have a nice screen and the seats are comfortable with a good amount of leg room.
Great place to see a movie. Parking can be tricky, but once there it's awesome.
Fun little place, good prices for popcorn and tickets.
Classic theater feel, classic theater prices. And of course, Beer!
Cozy little theater with beer and popcorn. This is a staple in the neighborhood.
Cozy, good sound, drinks and popcorn. No notes of any obnoxious chain theater characteristics.
Nice neighborhood theatre that has great prices, tasty popcorn and local beers on tap. The theatre is old but comfortable.
Decent movie prices. Theater in need of a makeover.
Awesome!! Run down a bit but the tickets were cheap and the beer and food were reasonably priced
A simple movie venue with everything you need to get you to the end of the film. Nothing fancy, just classy enough to make you wanna come back, not too classy that your fairweather friends will want to follow.
they show newer movies but they are a little more expensive as a result. i prefer the cheap ones.
Great old school theater showing new releases. You can buy beer and popcorn in the lobby. One of many great old theaters that make Portland a great place for cinephiles.
Fun box spring seats, 50s bathroom, and smaller theatre.
I love this place. Cheap movies, reasonable food and drink.
It's alright, went there with my friends to watch the hunger games, had a good time, small, but alright
What a movie theater should be. Good beer selection too!
Always a breath theater. Popular misconception... they have vegan butter if you ask for it!
I love the old school feeling here. And all the ads that ran before the movie were local! The concessions were insanely reasonable! Great experience!!
Great single screen theater. Ticket prices are amazingly low for a first run feature film. Beer and snacks are on point!
Very comfy. I always try to go here when it's a movie I want.
Great prices and movies. The best kept secret in south east Portland. Plus a killer selection of beers.
$5 beer on tap at a movie theater. What more can you ask for?
Love this place. The seats need help, but it is old so it kind of goes with it.
Very old theater. Grandpah seating is breaking down. Sound sytem is nit up to date.
Old wore-out Tire tore up seats very little legroom would not recommend I Won't Go Back
Great staff. Yummy treats and interesting alchohal selection. So far, all the mivies have been worth seeing and I love the environment.
Cute theater but definitely needs some TLC and repairs. Had to move 4 times to find a seat that wasn't broken in some way. Would love to see this theater revamped.
One of my favorite theaters in Portland. Cheap tickets, comfy seats, new movies, tasty beer and friendly staff.
Awesome atmosphere and staff. Classic Portland. Tiniest men's room ever.
Perfect neighborhood theater. Tickets are cheap, only one screen but the best flics. Staff is some friendly dudes offering beer wine and popcorn. Just what I need.
Prices were great. Service and beer was good. The seats were comfy and large. The seats were also absolutely disgusting. My SO came home with insect bites on her feet after the movie. We won't return.
They've been around for years it's not fancy so don't expect in new style theater they have good movies and good prices
This place is a classic! There are more beers on tap than screens in the theatre. There is only one screen and that's all you need. A super unique laid back theatre that's definitely got the Portland vibe.
Cheap! What more could you ask for if you are paying $5 these days for a film.
The only thing about about this place that's old is the building. Good sound and video. REAL BUTTER ON THE CORN!
Great low cost theater with a beautiful screen and sound system. However I didn't give it 5 stars because the seats are a bit worn and the springs have gone a bit. If you are over 6' plan on making some strange arrangements to stay seated throughout the show. Minus that this is a wonderful local gem.
Absolutely love this place, cheap tickets, cheap popcorn and comfortable seating. What more could you ask for ? This is a great theatre to check out new movies for a good price. Not sure what kind of popcorn they use but it taste better than most theaters.
Small single show theater. Not the best. Seats are not great but it's ok for seeing a movie.
Old but charming. The theater is big and the seats are more comfortable than I expected. You can get beer and wine and the price is like stepping back in time 20 years.
Very old theater. The chairs are 60s or 70s old and the place has a one stall restroom. It has a tiny concession stand. The reason for the 5 stars is they have many films that the big name movie theaters do not carry. There are so few of this style of old theater left.
Saw a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in 35mm. Looked great, comfortable seats, and the sound (most important part of the theater in my opinion) was excellent.
Great place to see a movie and get a beer. Would recommend to anyone!
Great local cinema featuring decent beer selection and choice recent releases.
Really neat old theatre. Single screening room. Has beer/cider. Could use small renovations.
Back to the Future soundtrack was playing when we arrived to see Deadpool 2. Smelled great and the drinks selection was ample. Will definitely be back.
Love this theater. Wish there was a better parking scenario but eh, New Portland amirite?! Great beer, good popcorn, great movie selection. All the best flicks come through here. There is a handicap restroom, there are some non-accessible ones too. Support your independent theater and come here.
Great cheap theatre playing hip movies with good food. Highly recommend for catching a new flick with friends.
Discount Tuesday night. Good screen. Audio a little muffled and hard to understand.
Best, cheapest theater around. No better place for students.
Go for the movies and come back for the old Portland feel. Real butter on popcorn!
Good for matinee viewing. Cheap tickets and tall boys.
Great small theater with first run movies and beee.
I've been going here for over 15 years now, and I've only now had an unpleasant experience at Cinemagic. So I want to qualify my present comments with a general admiration for the place and its staff through the years, yet I feel that I should speak up here. I showed up for a Tuesday early evening showing of Birdman a few weeks back. My friend and I arrived over 15 minutes before the stated showtime, nor was this a brand new release at the location. We waited in line for over half an hour just to be admitted to the theater, thereby missing the first 10 to 15 minutes of the movie because the theater was so poorly staffed, and the staff so poorly coordinated that they could not admit the majority of the customers in time to start the movie on time. Yet the projectionist saw no problem beginning the movie on time even though half of the crowd was still waiting in line for the very nice, but overwhelmed, woman working the door, food and drink stations. Could there not have been better communication with what I assume had to be the only other employee to help this poor woman up front, or to delay the beginning of the movie until the crowd was actually admitted to the theater?? There was no explanation, no remuneration, nothing said at all. Very poor business. I'll wait a while before I return. I actually like being able to watch ALL of the movie.
Love this spot, though I do hope new seats are in the near future
My boyfriend and I frequent CineMagic. Popcorn and ciders are the perfect compliment to a good movie
Great location. Check out the tiniest bathroom ever. First run movies. Good prices. Not part of tacky mega chain.
Cheap tickets and the best popcorn at any movie theatre (fresh, not too salty, and with real butter!). You can get a ticket and medium popcorn for less than a regular ticket at most bigger theaters.
One of the best cinemas! One screen. Sell beer and wine. Tickets are cheaper than others. Great staff. Popcorn is richly coated with butter when it is half-finished and at the end.
Supports the community. Really cheap tickets, especially on Tuesdays and for students (id required).
Great staff, great popcorn, nice sodas, new seats, fun atmosphere. Tickets are cheap and there s nowhere else in Portland I d rather go to see a movie.
This vintage theatre is amazing: the ticket prices are super low, the architecture is beautiful, and the food is great. Go here instead of Regal, always.
Nice price with current run movies. Also real close to Blackbird so can't really complain
Comfortable seats, reasonably priced concessions, always amazing staff
