Masks were mandatory and all indoor dining areas and shops were closed, as they should be. Considering this we still had a great time. It was hot but not unbearable. Icees and a short train ride cooled us off. Overall it was still fun for the whole family.

90's. But to see the animals and the happiness they bring to my small children is priceless. All of the animals were out. There was also lots of staff out to answer questions and interact. Even in the colder months, it is a nice place to go walking and see the animals.

I love the zoo. The membership is a bit pricey. But it's always clean and well maintained. You can tell the animals are well taken care of. Was disappointed to find out the movie theater was replaced with a smooth/coffee place.

We went on a day when it was pouring rain and practically had the place to ourselves. The rhinos walked right up to us, we got to watch the Artic Foxes be fed, and saw Fiona (of course). Zoo is clean and properly maintained. Very enjoyable experience

The layout is the only thing I could complain about. They have so much amazing stuff it's hard to see it all if you are traveling to see it. It is an amazing zoo though my daughter loved it. You get up close with all sorts of animals like kangaroos and giraffes! Greta for kiddos.

We made a special trip to the Cincinnati Zoo for my daughter's birthday. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic she watched a virtual zoo video of Fiona the hippopotamus and wanted to see her. We looked into the Cincinnati Zoo and discovered it was a highly rated zoo and decided to make a trip later in August. Upon going to the zoo we were not disappointed. They handled the pandemic wonderfully with ticketed entrance and plenty of signage about wearing masks in congested areas. We got to feed the giraffes and watch Fiona eat watermelon. It was a 5 hour drive and an overnight stay but we would love to come back for another visit.

A great zoo with great exhibits and animals. The only downside is the paths can be a bit confusing depending on where you're trying to go and there aren't enough signs to navigate. Otherwise it's a wonderful experience.

This is a really well-thought-out Zoo. Almost all of the outdoor trails are at least half shaded if not fully shaded. There was a lot of care put into the planning to make things comfortable for guests especially during the summer. On my visit today temperatures rose to around 95 degrees. The zoo has set up misting stations and water fountains aplenty. There are many indoor exhibits as well to help you beat the heat including aviaries the bug house the reptile house and the manatee retreat. Everything here was a huge hit with the kids and the polar bears were surprisingly active during the heat of the day. The Lions however could not be woken up. I would gladly go back.

Trick or treat going on for the kids the rest of the month, so expect it to be very busy. Once your done admiring the animals move on so other ppl can enjoy, don't hog the good views. Didn't have enough time to see everything, will def go back again.

The zoo never ceases to amaze me. Every dime seems well spent there. Constant improvements, beautiful gardens, ingenious ways of setting up exhibits that make you feel ever more a part of their habitat. Had a great day there with my family.

My kid's absolutely loved it. You can go online buy the tickets. If you have promotion codes you can apply them.Go outside enjoy the wide variety of collection that Cincinnati zoo has. You will not regret it. Your kid's can have their faces painted. You don't need even to go out for lunch they had pizza place inside, Ice cream. And many other food trucks. I liked how they planted the flowers. See pics. Have Fun

LOVE THE CINCINNATI ZOO! Especially the Festival of Lights! Crowded but the facilities and around the park was very clean. Stunning lights displayed everywhere and wonderfully synchronized to the music! We used the new pedestrian entrance near the elephants. Very beautiful! A great place to go with the whole family!

We went to see Fiona. It was disappointing that masks are not required. Only in high traffic exhibits. Some animals weren't even out with no signage telling you they weren't on display. Won't go again.. just ok

My kids love the zoo and the shelters are nice. Bathrooms are normally clean but of course busy. Map is a little confusing at times and you don't see many animals while on train. Past few times I have went animals were not in their exhibits.
Gift shops have a variety of different things. Food is pretty good.

You see many people complain about prices, parking or other trivial minor inconveniences. The real reason should be the condition of the animals! It was horrible to see the primates so depressed and have missing fur. The elephants were our first stop and they appeared tired.
This is a zoo that seems to care more about the money that can be made, rather than the preservation of the animals themselves.

I appreciate the immense effort that is put into the care and preservation of these animals.
We have visited the Cincinnati Zoo on many occasions, and it is always a wonderful experience. Their interactive stations, the events throughout the year, it's all just a great experience. The education helpers are always informative and willing to answer questions.
Also, I appreciate all the cell phone recycling bins! What a small, but significant gesture in continuing working toward preservation!
We love our zoo!

Best zoo in the country!

Best zoo in the country!
Construction going on by the elephant house. Normal pathway around the elephant house to the other side is blocked. Pathway along the lake is open. You won't miss anything. Making the zoo better and better.

The zoo is fantastic. Obviously you go for the animals, but the plants and paths are also well kept and make walking around beautiful.

If you go now, make sure you wear a mask. Still plenty of people who removed their masks once they got in the zoo and people who don't respect the 6ft apart stickers on the ground.

So fun

Great zoo, especially for the money.
Very family friendly. Good layout with lots of walking. Relatively mild inclines throughout, because Cincinnati, so if you have a wheelchair or stroller, be aware.
Giraffe petting area is pretty cool too.
And obviously, RIP Harambe.

We love going to the zoo. Having a member pass makes it great because we don't feel like we have to see everything in one visit. That is a huge factor with young kids that are still on nap schedules.

My family visits Cincinnati zoo regularly. We love it! We have pet a baby penguin and an armadillo. We have seen the flamingos and the pigs out for walks. We like to feed the giraffes, too. My son loves the Manatee exhibit. The keepers are friendly and knowledgeable. There's always something going on.

We have one of the best zoos in the United States. We get a pass every year and each time we go we get to see different animals active or being fed. Every day they have special things like when they get the animals out so we can see them better, touch or pet them and learn about them. Also they have giraffe feedings we can do all the time. The kids love feeding the giraffes. Our zoo also usually has at least a few babies...like our little Fiona! They never disappoint no matter how many times I go!

For one of the oldest zoos in the country it was fabulous. Many of the exhibits are updated and all are educational. From giraffe feedings to animal encounters everything was designed to show the animals in natural habits and close enough to be seen. The cheetah encounter was very cool, must see. Even the insect house was awesome, with leaf cutter ants carrying their work through tubes and multicolored beetles in a grand display. The African safari was the best I've seen. Definitely a must view if in the Cincinnati ares

Great place to take the family and get some exercise. Wear comfortable walking shoes as there is a lot to see. Staff is wonderful! Remember how I said wear comfortable shoes? Well, one day I didn't and the staff was quick to help me with first aid. Great place to go for relatively cheap.

Great place to go with the family. Tons of animals and people working there to answer questions and present the animals. I enjoyed all the exhibits, especially the elephants and birds. Safe place for the whole family and very stroller friendly.

Wonderful as always. The animals were mostly out, the place is clean and well kept as ever, the crowds were minimal.
My one complaint is that to order food you have to do it online now, and there's no way to get my membership discount. $12 is $12 and that's what my savings should have been.
Also, the staff handling the food pick up area werent very friendly when I commented on this and only said "I'm sure we're working on that."
As a long term member, I would have thought that would have been worked on the second you were serving food again.
If you haven't thought of your loyal supporters and donors and simply rushed in to make money, you've done yourselves and all of us a disservice.
As for us, we'll pack food for our trips until the situation is corrected.
