We went during festival of lights and had a great time! Traffic was bad, but once we got to the zoo parking lot, the staff directed us easily. The lights were amazing and beautifully setup. I will be going again in 2020.

Love this Zoo been going here my whole Life.My children love it also.I noticed less animals were out but with it being chilly and fall that's expected. Also less places for food and drinks available. The spring time is amazing.Lots of flowers and beautiful plants. And plenty of baby animals and places to rest .I've never had a bad experience at the Cincinnati Zoo.I highly recommend it they have wonderful enclosers and lots of activities.

It's better than the Detroit zoo for sure but our experience was very dampened by not 1 but 2 employees yelling across lines of people to me to put my mask over my nose in the train line. It was humiliating for me & my mask wearing family of 5 to be so singled out like this. I'm an asthmatic with my medication on me to prove it. Also have an exemption to not wear one at all for that reason. I choose too for the comfort of others because everyone's up in arms & hysterical over this. So I do from time to time pull it down under my nose to catch some extra air as it does cause my lungs to work harder which in turn can trigger an asthma attack if not tended too in a timely manner. It was a nice zoo but the mask policing was enough to cause us to likely never return. We drove in from out of state for this as well.

Such an amazing zoo. Went on our daughters fall break as a surprise and she was so thrilled. It was cooler but that didn't really change anything. The staff were friendly, the exhibits were well cared for and clean.

We have a season pass to the zoo. This is our go to activity when we need to get out of the house. We recently tried the 4D movie for the first time. It was such a great value. $2 per person for members. The kids loved it. They were squealing with laughter the whole time. Also, the staff here are wonderful. Everyone we interact with is friendly and helpful with fun facts about the animals.

We have the best Zoo in the country! They do so much to keep everything fun for the whole family here. Cant beat the price on the pass either! If you've never been and you live in Cincinnati-- something might be wrong with you. Must see if you are visiting the city!!

Best zoo I have ever been to, and that includes the National Zoo in DC. Beautiful landscaping and exhibits. Ohio is lucky to have great zoos like Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, and Akron.

The zoo is different from when I first went back in the 90s but in a good way. The new entrance makes a huge difference in entering the zoo with ease. The zoo stays packed but they have also changed how you get to each exhibit which makes it less congested. Sundays after 3 is our normal time to visit the zoo when we just want to hangout and take our time. Not only is everyone starting to leave , some of the animals start to relax and get settled in for the night. This makes it easier for you to spot them.

very expansive zoo. lots to look at & walk to. impressive outdoor exibits that don't feel like animals in a cage, enjoyable interactive kids activities throughout & convenient solar panelled covered parking. most impressive was the gorgeous botanical gardens everywhere.

They have so many animals at this zoo. The number of species rivals that of much larger zoos. Their exhibits offer clear line of sight and close experiences with some of the worlds largest creatures. Food is, expectedly, expensive. Generally, parking is $10. It usually takes about 6 hours for me to view all the animals and it's quite the workout with the hills of Cincy.

So many empty exhibits due to the cold. At the very least they could ve advised on the website or put up better signs. The only advisement I saw online was the hippo needed 45 degrees or warmer to be outside. Outside of this the layout and setup of the zoo was nice. Was simple to navigate and included many opportunities to see or get close to some of the animals.

This zoo is very family friendly. They regularly have events for families with disabilities. Almost every where is fully accessible. Very thoughtful about animal wellbeing. They often release animals back into the wild.

I was face to face, through the glass, with gorillas, manatees, a polar bear, a magnificent male lion, and Fiona the hippopotamus. The grounds are beautiful which is why the zoo is also a botanic garden.we rode a little red train and an endangered animal themed carousel. There are lots of animals, all over this zoo- some over every hillside and around every corner. I even saw the elephants get their daily bath. The insect house is home to naked- mole rats, leaf- cutter ants and humongous cockroaches. I won t tell you my weight on the Insect scale. A flock of flamingos toddled down a path next to us. There were convenient places to get a bite to eat and enjoy a cool drink. We had a wonderful time and learned a few facts about many animals.

Haven't gone in 20+ years and had an amazing time! It has grown so much in size and is very family friendly. Hard on those who have a hard time walking(alot of hills to climb/or go down)but well worth a family membership!

This is a great zoo. I only regret not having more time to explore. With kids this zoo is a full day perhaps 2 day trip. The exhibits are set up to give space to the animals but also to provide visitors with great viewing opportunities. The food at the zoo is very expensive and unusually bad. Especially for a location so close to some good restaurants. If I had it to do over, I would have left for lunch and gone back after.

Great place for both adults who are animal lovers and also to bring the kids. Have not been there in years but I remember going as a kid and seeing the nativity and the Christmas lights and then I won tickets to go there from work as a teenager. Brought along the nephews who enjoyed it!

Zoo exhibits are great. I definitely was disappointed with the botany aspect. It was very casual, with a few plants labeled here and there. I think it'd be cool to tour a greenhouse filled with plants that make me feel like there could be dinosaurs or something lol

DHL rented the zoo for a family day event. It was a nice evening at the zoo seeing all the animals and experiencing all the zoo had to offer. I also don't want to fail to mention the zoo staff , even after I'm sure they worked a full day they stayed to deal with DHL's family day all the while maintaining curiosity and compassion towards the people and animals... Thanks Cincinnati zoo!

Absolutely love this zoo! From the landscaping to the animals, this place is very well maintained and clean. I am a huge fan of sloths and this is one of few zoos that I have been to that actually has one on site. My favorite time to come is during the holidays when they put out their Christmas lights. There are so many cool animals to see and there's even a petting zoo for the kids. I always look forward to coming here!

Great zoo. Mostly clean, some trash & leaves around. Be sure to pick up a map b/c navigating can be challenging with all the twisting & narrow paths. Plenty of animals for viewing. Friendly staff.
Lots of squirrels everywhere, wish they had a bring your dog day.

Had a great time at the zoo. Making the reservations was easy. The staff is there with smiles so big you can see them through their masks. It was so nice to get back and to see the animals!

Our grandchildren were very excited to see all of the animals. Wish there was a tighter restriction of the # of visitors. Many were careful to maintain social distancing but some, unfortunately, did not.

Went to the festival of lights. The ticket was 21 dollars and the show was not 100% functional which was disappointing. The main reason of going was to see the main attraction of synchronized music to the lights. The Lincoln Park zoo in Chicago has a similar event but it's free.

Great family fun, been over 30 years since I had been so a lot has changed....for the better. We were under the impression we would have to pay to park, once we got there it was a free for all. We parked along wi th h everyone else along a side street.

Regardless of travelling three hours to get there, this place is the perfect zoo. It took three days to see everything, and all that we saw was put together beautifully. The habitats were large and true to the specific environments of the animals, and they all seemed very well taken care of. The prices aren't outrageous and the membership is well worth the price. We will renew every year.

Called ahead days in advanced for tickets. The tickets were unavailable online for discounted member prices but were guaranteed by staff to be available on the day.

Two and a half hour drive later no tickets. Sold out.

Waste of time.

Really neat zoo! Tons of things to see and a seemingly endless place to explore. Very hard to see everything in one day. Great place to bring kids and the animals are almost always visible. This is a unique experience. Also, the water in all the water exhibits is extremely clean. I am very impressed and will definitely be back. This is an extremely worthwhile zoo. Moreover, they have a really neat set of lights to see you during Christmas time and I really recommend it!

We love this low-key zoo. It is kind of old fashioned and nostalgic. I think it is good to know that it is not flashy.

The grounds are beautiful and the animals seem well cared for and happy.

We love the manatees and the Nocturnal Exhibit.

I used to love this zoo till covid.19 I took my kids there and is not fun anymore I pay full prices for everything and I didn't have to see half of the zoo because is was closed if I can't see everything and is going to be limited why pay full price I'm not happy with it

It is a great zoo! I recommend getting a membership so you can spend more than one day there. They have a lot of stuff closed down a lot as well so if you only have a one day pass I am sure it can be irritating.

This zoo takes its job of promoting conservation and ecologically sound practices very seriously. every time we go we have an amazing time visiting the animals and their habitats and learning more about how we can help the species continue to thrive and what we can do to prevent extinction. The whole family has fun and is learning the whole time. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's a Cincinnati must-see!
