CinCin Restaurant Review

At 2:30 most of the Chestnut Hill restaurant's kitchens were closed. After walking 8 miles along the Wissahickon, I still wanted to eat something more interesting than pizza. At CinCin, I enjoyed an interesting fried tofu and vegetables entree. Came with egg fried rice. Staff friendly. Pleasant looking restaurant. A number of customers having a pleasant and relaxed conversation.

Still my favorite place after 18 years - and I'm a foodie.

This is an amazing Chinese restaurant. Food is always delicious, fresh, authentic and comes out quickly. The staff is very attentive and polite. They do very well with large groups and with children.

We came here for lunch. The food was alright, but was lacking in flavor versus expectations. It was easily remedied with additional sauce on the side. Dessert was delicious. Overall I would consider coming back. I m curious to know how much the menu changes overtime because I didn t feel like there were enough choices compared to what I was expecting.

A favorite of mine for nearly 20yrs. The food is ALWAYS excellent, and Henry is a true gentleman. This may not be the best restaurant in the world, but none are better.

Very good food. The place is too crowded with the tables so close together. The noise level will cause you to go deaf. We will not return unless for lunch or earlier in the week for dinner. Never again on a Saturday evening. Fast and efficient service.

Excellent fine dining experience for the price.The place has soft instrumental music. You can go here for a nice date or a meeting location. Locals mostly come here. I give this place a go!

Ordered food to go and they forgot all the small items. My friend General T'so chicken was hard , dry and nasty. My Shrimp and Scallops tasted like the sea and was grainy. The sauce was very thin and watery. This used to be my favorite place but sadly they are no longer my favorite.

I'm not a big eater I had the crab cakes and Seafood dumplings which was an appetizer that was enough for me but it was delicious

i didn't get enough food for what I paid for...i ordered Angel hair noodles w/ Shrimp and not satisfied with the amount...im totally unhappy...and never coming back again!!! Im still hungry and im $11.00 short

CinCin has been the place of choice my girlfriend has taken me for my birthday dinners over the last two years. The atmosphere is always nice and classy, but not pretentious or overbearingly expensive. The servers have always been accommodating and knowledgeable about menu choices. This is the best place I know in the city to get my favorite shrimp, broccoli and walnut with pork fried rice. It comes with white rice, so you have to order fried rice separately. The white sauce it comes with is to die for. It can come with a brown sauce (let the server decide or tell them which you prefer), which is okay too, but the white sauce has it all over the brown sauce according to my taste buds. Yum.

Good service and even better food. My new go to restaurant when I'm visiting Philly.

It is always a wonderful experience at CinCin. The food is consistently great with a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

My favorite restaurant anywhere! One reason is because the price range goes from 10$ on up. You can get a vegetarian entree and eat well for little, so I don't understand the 4$$$$ that Google put on it.

The specials are always so wonderful that I wish that they'd make it on to the full-time menu.

All about the crabmeat sau mai (same exact recipe long used at the dearly-missed Mandarin Garden and Yangming -- same owners, Cin Cin is their last holdout). Very grateful this place exists.

Always a good experience. Food is delish, service is fast and professional. There are a couple vegetarian options...would like to see more in the future.

I had the seafood in a flower basket. I enjoyed it. Great service.

Restaurant presents well esthetically, the food was delicious but the staff was as cold as -3 degrees. The hostess did smile (only person) as she walked me to the very last table in the front section.
As I sat waiting for my friend (I was a little early), I was not offered anything until about 10 minutes later and that was just water. Several times staff walked past me not giving me eye contact or acknowleding my presence. Eventually I had to call out and ask for a pot of tea from a man who came past my table for a second if not third time. He tried walking past me with his head turned.
While taking order or serving the food no one smiled or nodded. I was impressed we were a nuisance. As I I said before cold as ice. I still gave a seven dollar tip for a less than 28.00 bill.
It is unforunate with the meal so tasty and restaurant so beautiful the HOSPITALITY was like having TOO MUCH SALT!

This has been my favorite restaurant for over 15 years! I go here for special occasions and have never been disappointed. The shrimp and chicken seaweed rolls, their General Tsos, and chocolate covered chilled fortune cookies are incredible, but almost everything on the menu is tasty and cooked well. It can get very busy at peak times so reservations are good, and parking can be tough, but good service and atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

A good Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. The lamb there is delicious.

The food was amazing and our server Jason was great. I'm definitely going back and will let my friends know about them.

The owner is amazing, I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is always prepared well and the atmosphere with it's small bar for waiting for a Togo or stopping in for a quick drink and fairly large amount of chairs make for an enjoyable experience no matter why you're stopping by. I would note however that this is not you standard Beijing or northern Chinese food but instead has more of a southern/Guangdong flair, which means as such certain dishes may not exist or be the chefs specialty but those within are exceptional.

When I called for the reservation in the morning, the lady answered the phone was very rude. She sounded like she did not care if we come in at all. Maybe that should signal me not to go to this restaurant. But since 6 of us have already decided to go there, we just went. I am from China and I dine out a lot in China and US. So I know good Chinese food. The food was not that good and the price was way too high compares to the quality of the food. We will never go back to this restaurant again.

The ambience is fantastic whoever our food was tasteless... My fiance ordered a glass of wine and it had someone else's lipstick on the rim of the glass. I had the shrimp and scallops and my fiance had the lamb. Hopefully it was just a one off experience. But more than likely we will not be taking any chances there again unfortunately.

The food here is amazing and so is the staff. I was there semi recently and arguably got the worst table there. Didn t complain about it as I know it was incredibly busy and was just happy to be seated. When dinner was done they came out and offered us a free desert as a thank you for taking the table which was absolutely not necessary. It shows how they value their customers and how great a business they are.

We had a great time here. I recommend this place. Nothing too much, just pleasant atmosphere and delicious food.

Take out never came and they were extremely rude about it. We have been eating at Cin Cin for about 4 years. We live in the area and are committed to supporting local business. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone from delicious to average. Nonetheless, we ordered take out and were told it would be 50 minutes. Four phone calls later, I was still told it was on the way by a very rude women. It never came and we will not be returning to CinCin.

The wonderful New Year menu items were not available but we were able to enjoy the seafood soup that had whole shrimp, pieces of scallops, crab meat & lots of crispy veggies. We had the Crab Shumai without the dipping sauce (allergy) & they were light little purses of delight.

Many dishes on the menu great flavor always good and never disappoints. Best pan fried dumplings on the planet....IMO.

Food was good. Great selection of food. Affordable prices.

Peaceful, quaint environment. Food is delicious. Staff is very welcoming. Loved it! Definitely a keeper.

Wonderful food and serves alcoholic beverages too. A bit pricey for frequent visits but we'll worth it for occasional visits and holidays like new years eve.

Went as special treat for Mother s Day on Saturday evening. Did not have my reservation. After short wait had a nice meal. Wife and I shared potstickers which were above average. I had Mongolian lamb which was excellent, wife had mango chicken special which was good. My son who is vegetarian had sesame noodles and then vegetables and tofu. His entries were bland and uninspired.

Service was excellent, tiramisu fabulous, setting attractive. Needs a stronger vegetarian entrees and better reservation system.

So loud during both visits. Mediocre, somewhat dry and overcooked food (both visits). Decor and restaurant itself has some charm.

Spring rolls and lamb satay were killer. Shrimp with honey walnuts also great.

The staff and management are so great. We feel like family. The food is so good. They even gave us a complimentary dessert. And the wine list is good!!! You have to try it.

I try to come here at least once a year, this would be my fourth trip, and I have been beyond satisfied every time. The servers are great, and the food is simply incredible. Today I had their beef wellington special, which was well worth the price.
