Don't ever have Cigna insurance under any circumstances. This company clearly doesn't care about people. It's quite apparent the only thing they truly care about is their bottom line profitability for their shareholders. Even if that means denying their members (me for example) medically needed care because of the incurred expenses on their corporate balance sheets which go hand-in-hand to paying out on some of those valid claims. Every single denial of service and care that Cigna can successfully ensure basically equates to them having all that much more in their own greedy corporate pockets! And my own personal situation definitely wouldn't be any different. For nearly 30 years I have diligently paid my premium contributions (through my employer's payroll deductions) for my health insurance with Cigna. Would you believe Cigna stopped covering several different medications which I've needed all my life in order to control my diabetes condition? All of a sudden Cigna just stopped covering the medications yet no valid explanation was (or still has) ever been given to me as to why? This is the same medication I've been taking for 40+ years without any issues up until now. Cigna didn t even offer me the option of a generic substitute either. They just flat-out stopped covering my vital "medically necessary" (to use their language which they'd printed in all their denial notices) medications which I've needed all my life to keep my diabetes under control. I've gone through every single grievance and appeal process internally through Cigna yet the outcome is still always the same: still denied. Cigna doesn't even provide valid research based or scientifically proven reasons behind their denial decisions either. Their favorite catchall phrase which they seem to love using is: "this isn't medically necessary therefore it isn't covered." Four different medical doctors who I've been a patient with for a very long time all say differently: that all of my diabetes control medications really are "medically necessary." This ongoing battle with has been going on for well over a year and a half and quite honestly I m just so sick and tired of all their shenanigans. Just the process of writing this review right now is enough to make me weak with fear and anger and disgust. I'm literally on the verge of tears right now thinking about the tens of thousands of dollars that I've lost so far as a result of Cigna's greed and valuing corporate profits over people. My skyrocketing medical bills which I now have as a result of Cigna's refusal to cover my Metformin and other necessary medications which I need to control my fragile diabetes condition are through the roof! I m in serious jeopardy of losing my home and my car .. even my sanity right now! Filing for bankruptcy seems to be my only option right now but even that won't be an easy process. There's so much more negative stuff I could write about Cigna in this review but I probably won't have enough time (or space) to adequately describe every single devastating hardship and nightmarish hassle I've had to endure throughout the past one and a half years dealing with Cigna. Yet if my very long and heartfelt review on this website accomplishes nothing else then I hope that it serves at least one purpose: forewarning the general public about how greedy and unethical and what I personally feel amounts to downright spineless this insurance company Cigna truly is. Cigna uses a bunch of gimmicky and cliched "business of caring" or "together all the way" slogans which they try to use to market their awful services and products. None of that is true though. Trust me when I tell you that this particular health insurer: Cigna is definitely NOT in the "business of caring" about their members. Instead they seem to clearly be "in the business of denying medically needed care and services to vulnerable people who are at their lowest of lows." What a travesty that such a large global company like Cigna is should choose to conduct itself with apparent zero regard for human life or care quality.

love it!!! This completely changed my perspective on insurance. Before I the CEO of Cigna I didn't like insurance and thought that life wasn't great but now insurance is my third favorite word starting with i and life couldn't be better. As Jet Kai Yong once said "Do da Heeffy Dance, HEEF HEEF HEEF HEEF HEEF"

Was misled into getting credit card repayment insurance (Not at all like what was pitched to me over the phone). So decided to opt out which apparently had to be done over the phone as there was a 30-day free look period.

However, 3 months later I notice they have taken money out of my account. Save yourself the hassle of working with these greedy money grabbers.

A very bad insurance company, they will find any excuse not to pay out your claims. It take weeks for them to respond to emails, and they will waste hours of your time chasing/replying to there excuses. I recommend just going straight to the insurance Ombudsman to get any kind of reasonable outcome from these guys.

Unreliable insurance company. Will try their best to deny you of any claim. Their policies are written too broadly and can be open for different kinds of interpretations. Unfortunately, their own interpretations of the policies that they honor are more inclined to protect them from any liabilities, even for those situations that you have absolutely no control of.

I have been with different insurance providers. I can definitely say, this insurance company is significantly unreliable.
