I have tried today from 8am to book a appointment, finally got through at quarter to 12 only to be told all appointments have gone ( obviously after all that time ). I was told to call back next day, but I know I will have the same situation! ! Something is not right with their set up, when I commented on this I was told to call 101. And they wonder why hospital s can't cope it's down to people not being able to get appointments with their gp.

No issues with the surgery or staff they are very kind and friendly but the booking system is absolutely ridiculous no appointments able to be booked in advance for a check up meaning it will be unlikely I will get seen when I need to be as I won t be classed as a priority! Very unimpressed as it s rare I need to see a doctor but when I do I am unable to do so!

Debbie the receptionist worth 10 stars, review based on her abrupt and brittle receptionist colleague . Avoid if you suffer from anxiety, affected me for the rest of the day. Top tip; know your NHS number prior to visit!!!!

If you can find another doctors I would highly recommend that you do. One that the receptionists don't interigate you and then decide what THEY think you need ie: doctor, nurse or an appointment! A doctors that the phone is answered would be good before you are interigated, or better still actually answered. I have left this doctors after many, many years as a patient, hopefully this has helped with this doctors having to deal with a patient, and freed up a receptionist actually doing what they are supposed to do,rather than questioning every patient that phones.

I had to find a new GP. I present with major spinal problems Cause Equina which has not been mentioned and Mental health issues including depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Despite previous records I felt I was totally ignored. However Two questionnaires in the post about smoking and drinking in order to fulfil their governmental box ticking obligations but nothing about the main issue if wanting to kill myself despite all the posters professing help on the walls. I can't see me remaining here for medicinal care. Looking for another GP as I type.
They also have what they call a "more efficient" way to make an appointment which has meant that it has now taken four phone calls and almost a week and I still can't get an appointment. You're Not allowed to make appointments in advance apparently.

Been with this surgery from the start..was an excellent practice but gone down hill drastically. Doctors leaving left right and centre the doctors left are over worked.Decent receptionist have left, some nice new ones but still a few who think they are the doctors themself! Getting an appointment is a nightmare! New system which is now been going for a while is no better.when you get an appointment it's rare you see a qualified doctor usually a paramedic or nurse practioner..who the refers you to a doctor??!!

To be honest this surgery has never been that good. Lately worse still. Takes an age to get through by phone if as long as you are not disconnected whist waiting. The receptionist are friendly when you do get through although one said she had tried to call me back when I briefly lost my signal and my phone showed no record of this. Did get a day late call from a Dr who left a message on my land line but didn't try my mobile which beggars belief and is poor service. Had to visit reception in the end to sort it out. I shall be moving surgery and advise not to sign up.

Honestly takes the mick a little. Rang in at 8am to just try to talk to someone as I'm unable to travel back to where I work at the moment due to vertigo, have been ill for over a week now before ringing the doctors. The surgery closes in 90 minutes and I'm yet to be called back so looks likely that I'm going to have to do this again tomorrow.
Every experience is the same, ring at 8am for a 50% chance of them being useful or wait a month to be seen, there is NO inbetween! I wait til I need to go to a&e as it's more useful and I'm actually seen!
The receptionists are the only reason this gets even 1 star as they work hard, everything else let's this place down.

Not very good service. Had an operation in April and haven't been able to get an appointment to see any one of the Dr's. Poor after care. Had to phone the hospital to find out when I had to have a blood test. And yet whenever I've popped in to try for an appointment there's nobody in the waiting room.something wrong somewhere. Not a happy bunny.

No interest from so called professionals.

No interest from so called professionals.
No following up from gps after tests x-rays scans etc. Patients have to prompt and chase up.
Appointments are difficult to arrange due to obstructive receptionists. Though in all fairness some are helpful.

Cant get an appointment. Long delays on the phone. When you see a doctor you are wit h them for 2 seconds and they dont seem interested. The answer always is a virus...Only good thing about the surgery is the midwife. She was 10/10.

Not a great idea standing outside in the rain. They should think about making the canopy bigger if this is going to be the way of the 'new' norm. The actual nurses and drs come across as being very professional. I've been with this practice when it was in Church Road (1960's) and have always received excellent care.

This is the crazy state of the NHS today, my nine year old son who suffers with a history of ear infections has been in pain since boxing day. I tried to make a appointment to see a doctor to check his ear to make sure it wasn't serious. This because the last time it flared up the doctor told me they couldn't see me and a repeat prescription was all they could offer. Bi go we went away ear got worse,i ended up taking him to a proper doctor who checked it and said its infected and the prescription was a waste of time
So we're going away again. And all they can offer is a phone diagnosis waste of time. The funny think is I live two minutes from the doctors and the phone call lasted seven MI minutes, it would have taken less time for the doctor to look in his ear and give me a proper diagnosis
Now Iam sat at the Cumberland centre hoping for the best
Let's just say I've seen doctors in third world countries faster than Church view surgery

Rude, dismissive staff who are unable to cope with reasonable requests and feedback. GP s and management lack transparency. Nye on impossible to get an appointment in a reasonable time frame. Do not dare complain or they threaten to withdraw services. Best place to raise any complaints is via NHS England and not the Surgery as they sweep complaints under the carpet.

Not great, always waiting for ages when booking an appointment. The phone number has changed and now I can't contacts the surgery, and they didn't contact me when my new prescription was made! However my gp is lovely and so are the other staff.

This is a really lovely surgery. It is located in a country setting and is run by some very hard working doctors. The place is always busy which is a good sign. The staff are always polite and willing to listen to issues and problems which you might have. The doctors are again thoughtful and we would not go anywhere else because you just do not get this 'old fashioned' family orientated approach in other practices that we have been with.

Takes a long time to get through and once through no appointments available on day, not allowed to book in advance for the next day or any other day, must ring back after 8am next day to see if any appointments available and even then there may not be any. This really is a poor level of service for something that should be a lot easier to access. I don't need the doctors often but when I do.........
