About Christar
Christar: Bringing the Transforming Love of God to Unreached People Groups
Christar is a non-profit organization that exists to bring the transforming love of God to unreached people groups around the world. The organization was founded in 1930 by a group of Christians who were passionate about sharing the gospel with those who had never heard it before.
Today, Christar has more than 400 workers serving in over 20 countries, working among some of the most difficult-to-reach people groups on earth. These workers are committed to living out their faith and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those who have never had access to it before.
At Christar, we believe that every person deserves to hear about God's love for them. Unfortunately, there are still millions of people around the world who have never heard this message. These people live in remote areas or belong to cultures where Christianity is not accepted or even known.
Our mission is simple: we want to reach these unreached people groups with the gospel message. We do this by sending out teams of workers who are trained and equipped for cross-cultural ministry. These teams work alongside local believers and churches, building relationships and sharing their faith in culturally relevant ways.
One key aspect of our work at Christar is our focus on holistic ministry. We believe that true transformation happens when both spiritual and physical needs are met. That's why our workers often engage in community development projects such as education initiatives, healthcare programs, and economic development efforts.
We also recognize that many unreached people groups face significant challenges such as poverty, persecution, and social injustice. Our teams work tirelessly to address these issues through advocacy efforts and partnerships with other organizations working towards similar goals.
At Christar, we are committed not only to reaching unreached peoples but also equipping others for cross-cultural ministry through training programs like Perspectives on World Missions courses which provide an overview on missions from biblical times until today’s modern era; Missionary Training Institute (MTI) which provides practical training for those preparing for long-term service overseas; Short-Term Teams program which offers opportunities for individuals or small groups interested in short-term missions trips; Internships program designed specifically for college students seeking hands-on experience while earning academic credit towards their degree requirements; Church Partnership program aimed at helping churches develop effective strategies for global outreach while providing support services such as prayer networks & financial assistance among others.
In conclusion,
Christar is an organization dedicated to bringing hope and transformational change into communities where there has been little access or exposure towards Christianity due cultural barriers or geographical isolation from mainstream society.
Through its holistic approach towards evangelism coupled with community development initiatives aimed at addressing social injustices faced by marginalized communities worldwide - they seek not only spiritual but physical restoration too.
Their commitment extends beyond just reaching out directly but also equipping others through various training programs so they can be better prepared when engaging cross-culturally whether locally or abroad.
