Chiostro del Bramante Review

The Cloister of Bramante is architecturally an integral part of the adjacent Church of S. Maria della Pace. For some years now it has hosted exhibitions, events and exhibitions set up on its two floors.
Made by Donato Bramante according to the canons of Renaissance architecture, it was commissioned by Cardinal Carafa at the beginning of the 15th century.
The plan is square, a mirror of the classic recovery re-proposed by Renaissance art, in two orders: Ionic on the ground floor, Corinthian on the first floor.
The porch opens with 4 arches on each side and the loggia still retains the seats specially made for the monks.
The staircase connecting the two floors is the original one.

Excellent Turner exhibition. The exhibition rooms are adequate but the installations have been a bit overwhelming. However the structure is functionally inappropriate in the spaces. Inadequate toilet facilities. Entry-exit cramped and often obstructed by the queue at the ticket office.

Beautiful, it often offers very interesting exhibitions.

A touch of water brush tip and the color is voila a masterpiece. If you don't know Tunner, you can't miss the exhibition, or you can get his paintings ..?

It hosts art exhibitions that are always very interesting, too bad the rooms are in my opinion a bit cramped compared to other museums, apart from this nothing to say also about the organization.

I have seen many exhibitions there and every time it is a pleasure to go back

Totally hidden place in Rome but it is worth it, especially because it is not very crowded to rest from the overflow of people from the city.

A fantastic experience! Art comes to life and makes you enjoy! Let yourself go inside the exhibition and everything will be more beautiful! I think I'll be back!

Beautiful exhibition space with always very interesting exhibitions

I recommend it to everybody! The exhibitions are always well cared for and the cost is not excessive! The exhibition Love and now Enjoy were beautiful! Always keep up to date, anyway, it is a fixed stop on Roman holidays.

The place is definitely very beautiful and the exhibitions are almost always interesting and always well set up and well lit (essential for painting exhibitions). The staff are often not as courteous as you would expect in such a place. Recommended the cafeteria, unfortunately closed until September 3, as if there were no tourists in Rome these days.

Very interesting exhibitions with the exception of some that are too "social" and of little content. The Cloister itself is a very suggestive and well organized place, with services, bars ...

The cloister of Bramante (1500-1504), built by Bramante for Cardinal Carafa. It represents one of the most important works of the sixteenth-century Renaissance and was among the first Roman works designed by Bramante after the Milanese period.

The cloister and the church where the Sibyls are seen are fantastic. I didn't like the paid exhibition at all.

A jewel well integrated into the Roman landscape; well structured curatorial projects, audio guides included in the ticket. Unmissable, on the upper floor, the external room of the excellent bar where you can see Raphael's "Sibille". Closing at 9pm

Beautiful historical environment that hosts interesting exhibitions. For those with children around 10 years old do not miss the exhibition enjoy the art with an interactive nature, a real fun for the little ones.

The exhibitions are well cared for, of excellent level and the bookshop is beautiful full of interesting things

Being a spectator in this context, I leave it up to you not to give you a description, but I recommend, it is worthwhile, to pay a visit because the emotion you feel when observing this work ... amazes ... and also with the exhibitions that are on site!

Show on the London squad interesting but limited selection

The insider tip for an oasis in the hectic city bustle is the gastronomy there in the arcades of the courtyard. Not a tourist trap, but good quality at reasonable prices.

Fantastic ... the atmosphere and the magical place, immersed in the heart of Rome ... and the magic of Turner's watercolors ...

It is hidden from the crowd, I happened by chance, it is truly a jewel to visit, sitting by the coffee table on the second floor. It also hosts temporary exhibitions of all kinds.

What is striking about this cloister is the Stylistic Cleaning, which demonstrates how the maturity achieved in the creative rereading of the message of classical architecture, with attention to the relationships between dimensions, in a simplicity of image, hardly equaled.

The location is fantastic, but I must say that the Enjoy exhibition didn't really drive me crazy: too many people in too small a space especially before entering the balloon room and then I found the room where "l 'artist "put his photo in strange positions since the exhibition was attended by many children.

Positive experience as there was a modern art painting exhibition. The place is always nice to look at. Then the Gianicolo in Rome is one of the most important points from which to admire the panorama of our eternal city.

The cloister is very nice but the dream exhibition maybe costs a little too much for what it offers ( 14 for 14 stories and respective creations)

It is always a pleasure to go to see the exhibitions in this splendid cloister, inside there is also a very nice bistro, too bad that it is often poorly stocked especially for the evening aperitif

One of the architectural pearls of the Capitoline Baroque. For several years, it has been home to numerous very important artistic exhibitions, including Alma Tadema and the Pre-Raphaelite school, Chagall, Basquiat, Turner and many others.
Upstairs there is a cafeteria and a beautiful room where you can have coffee and quick meals, but also read and study.

Always interesting. I suggest a visit. The attached Church Saint Mary of the Peace is a sort of little museum with paints of Raffaello, Orazio Gentileschi, Cavalier d'Arpino, Baldassarre Perruzzi and others.
