Great place for drinks, if they actually show up. Disappointed they changed the menu and got rid of all my favorites. The service was horrible (April 13th), the server was a space case who kept forgetting our drink orders.

Wide variety of food and drink selections. It is on the very high price side of food cost and food does not come out with the entire table. I got three tacos for &11 and there were no sides with the tacos and they were okay in flavor. I wish I would have gotten more for the money but it's all about the experience you have there with your friends and family. If you happen to be looking for eye candy there is a ton of that there so there is a plus side to this place.

Been here twice it s a fun place to go for something a little different. It is verrry busy though. We had to have a totally different waitress take our order because the original one was taking awhile to come back. Overall nice place will continue to come.

I live right across the street and I swear the day I moved in the first thing that I saw was the chino Latino bling bling sign outside.
That sign literally called me to come in and I did lol
Love this place especially on weekends. Great vibes, great music, the food is ok , not the best sushi, but the pad Thai is fine and their cocktails are super cute !
It s my place to go because I don t need to drive there and it me really a great spot to hang out with your friends.Woudl definitely go back.

Visited for restaurant week. pro-tip: very glad we made a reservation. it was slowish when we arrived at 5.30, but when we left there was a long line to be seated. portions were generous and food was good-- very spicy but still flavorful. drinks were interesting and strong. the cold noodles, pork buns, and orange chicken were table favorites. Dessert was exceptional (cant remember the name, but it had a chocolate base and a caramel sauce). fried ice cream was decent but too much coconut

A bit pricey for what it is, but the atmosphere is superb and the wait staff is extremely friendly. The happy hour is a standout experience, but all of their food is a great fusion of Asian and Mexican styles.

CHINO LATINO!!! kinda blew me away. It's pretty rare that you find a place with such a large menu, and everything you have is good. It's almost overwhelming. Very big place, very loud, and very good. I don't think you can experience everything CHINO LATINO has to offer in one visit.

Favorite date night spot. Wonderfully unique food that tastes amazing. Service is pretty much always excellent as well. If you're having trouble finding the entrance, it's the unmarked red door under the big shiny front.

Hands down my favorite restaurant to visit in Uptown! Delicious authentic fusion food, fun atmosphere, love the staff, big family style portion sharing, awesome bar menu specials when you're sitting in the bar area for happy hour. They offer a really cool group dining experience with a roasted pig (call and book in advance!) and if you book your birthday reservation in advance your menus will be personalized giving a birthday shout out!

This is our third visit and we love this place! Eating early is a better experience, as far as being able to get the attention needed from the server. When we have come later, it is ALWAYS very loud and busy, so don't come here if you want a quiet dinner experience. The lighting is VERY dark, so don't be surprised by this. The food is what brings us back every time. It is ALWAYS good and unique. The ethnic mix of Latino and Asian food makes for such a fun experience! We can't wait until our next visit.

Food is good and drinks are good, but weird that they market this place as for special occasions and parties. Seams like they could trim down the menu, improve service and make this an everyday restaurant that has availability for larger parties.

My friend birthday was yesterday. Iliana.. and the waitress at first was cool but then you could tell he started getting frustrated because he was being rude and very passive aggressive. Some of the girls didn t like their drinks and didn t touch them after the first sip, but they let the waitress know right away and he was very rude about taking the drink back. They didn t do anything special for her day. Just not what we expected.

The service was good, we got seated right away because we had a small party of 3 only. The waiter was very nice and everything came out within 10-15 mins even though they were really busy. Small amount of food for the large price you pay.

Very popular place in town! The food is unique and absolutely delicious. I've been here many times and the only time the service was below par the manager came in and fixed everything. The atmosphere is very lively. Lots of music and usually quite busy. Great for a fun date or a fun night out with the girls.

Went there on a Saturday night with a group of friends! It definitely does not feel like you're in Minnesota when you walk in! It has a great atmosphere!

Happy hour had a ton of great options and reasonable prices

Mojitos are very good!

Shanghai wings are also absolutely wonderful! A little hot but so crunchy and wonderful!

Shredded chicken Tacos are wonderful! Beef tacos were also pretty good!

Pork steam buns were ok- not the greatest buns I've had but ok.

Lettuce wraps were disappointing. Kobe beef was tough.

All around it was Ok. Would go back for the wings, tacos and drinks but that's about it.

Pro tip- get the back room by the bar for a more private table with happy hour!

Food can be pricey. Many dishes seem labor intensive but others not so much. But youre paying for pageantry as well. Can be difficult parking. Service is usually okay. (Normal/acceptable, not above and beyond but as one would expect. Only very few times subpar)

Fun place for a celebration. This is not a weekly go-to dinner venue due to over priced dishes and drinks. Food is delicious and full of flavor. The family sized dishes we ordered were no larger than a regular dish at some of our favorite Asian restaurants (at half the price).

Used to love Chino, but I think it has gone downhill. The noise was always a problem but it was excusable because of the food. The food isn't as good as it used to be, though, so I just can't justify the cost and the impossibility of having a conversation there anymore.

I bought $400 of gift cards when they had the Buy $100, Get $25. When I tried to use one at Chino Latino(1/9/19) after we were done with our meals, the waitress told me that their gift card system was down and that we would have to pay with a different method. I asked if she could give us the 20% off like what the card offer would've provided. Both her and her manager were completely irreasonable and demanded that I need to pay the full amount without using the gift card. She told me that I already got the discount when I purchased the gift cards. They've got $400 of mine and I've got nothing in return. What's going to happen when the people that I gave gift cards to find out they have to pay out-of-pocket instead?

Unfortunately overpriced and the food was underwhelming. My wings (about a dozen) were $17 and they were undercooked - it s hard to see in the dim lighting but you can taste when it s undercooked. +1 to the vibe of the whole place, it s pretty welcoming and exciting but you re eventually left wanting more. Fortunately, this area of the metro is packed with better restaurants, so I ll probably go elsewhere next time.

Great place to go for bachelorette party. If you call ahead and make a reservation, they'll even make up a menu with the bride's name on it! Food was delicious, drinks were amazing, and our waitress was very friendly and responsive.

The atmosphere was very unique and trendy with an orange and red lighting. The flavors in the ribs as well as the sauce with the fried chicken had delicious Asian accents. The Mexican Fried Ice Cream was definitely big enough to share.

The worst waiter, and experience tonight!
Waiter name: Sean H (or atleast the name on our receipt) Needs more training on how to be attentive!
Food: Not like how I remember it. Though I havent been there in some years, but for the price range, I was expecting more, and they did not deliver. Staff and chefs must've changed-sucked 1000% tonight-never again!!!

So glad Chino Latino has lasted with all of the changes uptown has gone through. Fun and somewhat upscale atmosphere. Good food with fun presentation. If you do not like to try food that is a little different you may not enjoy the food much, but I suggest you give it a try. $$$

This is a good place to go if you want to share plates. Most menu items are geared toward that sharing mentality. Also, everything on the menu has some sort of twist to it. Nachos? Replace tortilla chips with slabs of banana chips. All of this is interesting...but I do not believe the prices are worth the quality you receive. Food and drinks are fine here, but the service and prices are not worth the effort of getting in the door.

The food here is incredible! It's an awesome mix of Asian and Latino entrees ("food from the hot zones") which are meant to be shared in pairs or groups, or smaller selections that were still perfect to split with another person. The vibe is very chill and modern, and our server was so super friendly and extremely helpful when it came to food choices. The drinks here are exceptional and well-made, with a variety for everyone's tastes. Definitely worth the price for such a fantastic meal.

Great service, great food. Very vegetarian friendly with amazing tofu. We ordered the Black Laab, which comprises mostly of seasoned ground beef/ pork (not sure), which my meat eating wife loves, and they were kind enough to give me a side of tofu for free to put into it. They made sure we were both enjoying our shared meal.

About their drinks.. Very comparable with prices in that area of uptown, but they are worth the price. For a single martini there I would have to purchase 3 at any competition to get the same amount of drink. Don't know if it was a one time situation, but both my wife and I received drinks like this.

E.P. is the best! His guidance in choosing just the right thing to imbibe is truly a gift. Ally, the GM, was beyond personable. Food was fantastic and what an amazing menu! Jesus, one of the sous chefs, has an amazing sense of hospitality regardless of his role in the kitchen. Luis, the bar-back this evening is, as always, overflowing with kindness and a great smile! Thanks Chino for staying true to fostering a great time!!! Cheers!

Extremely over priced and food was mediocre at best. Our waitress was horrible and the manager was completely rude. Unless you are with a medium to large group and everyone wants the same dish dont go here. Its large shareable portions for a very steep price per dish. We went here for a birthday and if we didnt have a nice buzz going on it would have been ruined by the rude waitress but we ignored her rude comments and extremely snotty attitude and almost forgot about her sarcastic comment and totally fake "yeah happy birthday" as she threw the almost 300$ tab across the table. That tip went from 30% to 12% real quick. Will never be going back here again but not really a bother since I hadn't been here In 12 years anyway. There are much better places to go in uptown and downtown than this place that have great food for better prices. They need a revamp and some smaller side dishes for someone that doesnt want a meal prepared for 4 people.
