Children's Dentistry of Issaquah Review

Fun, cute atmosphere for kids. Tokens and toys given as rewards make every trip looked forward to rather than dreaded. Endless supplies of toothpaste provided! My daughter won the No Cavity Club monthly drawing and was thrilled with her prize! The hanging TVs from the ceiling are a distraction so kiddos just open wide and the cleanings are done in a snap. The staff and dental assistants are all friendly and our dentist Dr. Shadi is incredible- so sweet and good with the kids- and takes plenty of time to explain or answer questions. If we ever move I ll still make the trip to the Highlands for this dentist s office - they are fantastic!

I take my four kids here (ages 4-13). Dr. Shadi is great with the kids, as are the assistants and staff.

We love Highlands Kids Dentistry and all of the staff. Dr. Shadi makes our child feel so comfortable where going to the dentist is something that our child looks forward to.

Lovely dentist office with friendly front desk staff. Dr. Ray is very friendly explains things as he goes and eager to answer any questions you may have. Would definitely recommend this place!

We've been going to see Dr. Shadi since we moved here almost 4 years ago, she is great! So patient with the kids, they love her and all of her staff. Wonderful environment, great service.

Always friendly, make you feel welcome, and do a fantastic job. Very thorough cleaning and great with the kids. Recommend this place to everyone. We don't use fluoride and they respect that decision. I love that they have never even questioned it.

I highly recommend Highlands Kids Dentistry! My kids loved the waiting room that was filled with cool kid decor, toys, and games, which kept them busy while we waited. My kids especially loved the fact that the Keurig machine in the waiting room had hot chocolate! Also, I feel very fortunate to have found this place since I am new to the area and thought I would try it since they had a great first time patient incentive of receiving free Sonicare toothbrushes for each of my children. This place is an awesome place for kids to have their dental needs taken care of.

Wonderful staff and had a very good experience. Dr Shadi is very nice to kids and the staffs there explains everything to the kids.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Highlands Kids Dentistry. Both Dr. Araghi and Dr. Garcia are wonderful with my kids. My daughter recently had to have a couple baby teeth removed and Dr. Araghi was amazing with her. Can't say enough positive things about their practice.

My son had multiple appointments for several cavities. The first time went well. The hygienist explained everything to him and tried the equipment out on his hand so he was comfortable with it. The second time was a complete different story. They went right to work with no explanation. Dr. Shadi said that they couldn't numb the area because of the location. My son was in pain and at some point he was bleeding and started to cry. After that he was afraid and would cry even when the Dr Shadi would use the air or water spray. Dr Shadi said that they couldn't do the normal filling since he was "not cooperating". She said this type of filling could fall out and that we would have to pay again if it did. The lack of sympathy was very upsetting. He's only 4 and had to get fillings with no numbing. We expect more professionalism from her. For a place that names itself as a place for kids I'd think they would be better at handling these situations. It's probably because they are in a rush to get as many customers as possible.

Just had my daughter s first appointment there and it was amazing. The staff was so welcoming, the waiting area was adorable and the dentist was so sweet. Overall, I m so happy we found this place. We will never go anywhere else!

My son is 3 and this was his second time going. He loves it and wants to brush his teeth because the staff is so nice and friendly. My daughter has not liked the visit either time we have went because she is 23 months. The staff is so understanding and nice and make it as quick and gentle as possible. I would highly recommend this dentist and staff.

Great experience. Friendly staff. The kids felt very comfortable. Very flexible in providing us with time slots. Met with both the doctors and find them competent and helpful in addressing our concerns

Staff is wonderful, patient, and accommodating. My autistic son hates the dentist but they make it as easy as they can. Movies, toys, rewards, and smiles all around. Worth every penny and a 30 minute drive.

We have used Highlands Kids Dentistry for 3 years and recommend them often. Dr. Shadi is thorough and so patient, she and her staff were wonderful at easing my daughter's anxiety. Now my kids can't wait to go to the dentist. The front desk staff is wonderful to work with as well.

I really love how they make the kids feel comfortable and that they make it fun.
Personally I suffer from dental anxiety and it was very important for me to find an office that would help my children not have the same issues that I have.

Dr. Araghi and her team made my daughter feel so welcome and comfortable. They really knew how to put her at ease at her appointment and the entire office is so kind & friendly. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Diana all the way to our assistant Maddie to Dr. Araghi. My daughter is only 13 months so she doesn't sit still very well but Dr. Araghi and Maddie knew how to calm her down and thoroughly examined her. They were quick and efficient and we are so happy with how the appointment went! Thank you so much Dr. Araghi and Team!

I got a mailer for this place and set an appointment, being that we are not from here and didn't know of any local dentist we decided to him book an appointment for a regular cleaning. To our surprise the front office staff was super unprofessional and we're gossiping the whole time I was sitting there doing the paperwork. Then forcing the bitewing into her mouth telling me that she was refusing to close her mouth but she never said she wasn't trying to close her mouth she was not able to because her mouth is small. then they were giggling after this happened which made it seem like they were laughing at her and then she ended up really uncomfortable and crying hysterically after the x-rays were over which never happened before. my son on the other hand was in a separate room getting his cleaning done which after applying the fluoride the dental staff had told him instead of using the tools to suck out his spit that he needed to swallow the fluoride spit! This this is not something that I want my son to swallow and they didn't advise me before putting fluoride on their teeth. after this they were trying to push the fact that general anesthesia was necessary even though I had gone to a previous dentist and she did not seem to think so and respected the fact that I did not want to do that at this point. I will not be going back.

Dr. Shadi is one of the kindest most caring people I know in the world of healthcare for children. You can tell through her words and body language that she genuinely wants her patients to enjoy their dental care experience. I love the dental hygienists as well. They are great with children, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. My only wish is that they took adult patients too!

Dr. Araghi is AWESOME! She is so kind and patient. Very sensitive to my children's needs. Very friendly staff. Can't say enough good things about this dentistry.

Have been using this dentist for over 2 years for my 3 children and felt the need to leave an excellent review today. My girls look forward to each visit and we had an actual procedure for one of them done today and it went very well. Dr. Shadi and the staff are great with the children and make them feel comfortable. I also appreciate them listening to my concerns and making me feel more comfortable with a treatment plan for my children. And of course the small prize incentives make the kids feel special.

This is a great kids dentistry. I brought my 1year old in and she was very nervous but they really worked to calm her down. She will be going here for years to come.

Highlands Kids Dentistry - kid teeth cleaning wasn't well.
The hygienist work carelessly and the result was not slow to follow.
When the Doctor came for examination, Doctor continue to clean and scrub the teeth after so called "dental cleaning" .
Still not the best result as we use to get with different hygienist .
I'll ask the name of the dental hygienist and will never schedule with her again.

I never rate anyone but I would give them the highest rating. My 3 year loves going to the dentist now!

True professionals that know the art of kids dentistry. Our 4 year old needed a procedure and he didn t mind the gas, didn t notice the needle, could care less about the drill and did just fine. We are so impressed by this team.

I LOVE this place!!! We've been going for a couple of years now. Both Dr. Shadi and Dr. Garcia are fabulous with our kids. Our kids get so excited to go to the dentist---it's never an issue. It's a treat for them! I'm quick to highly recommend to all of my friends!

This is the best pediatric dentist office we ever been to! Beautiful and fun decor with lots of attention to detail to make children feel happy and excited about their visit. The team is very warm, friendly and accommodating. Dr Shadi Araghi is amazing, she had such a kind demeanor, is super friendly and so efficient. My 4 and 7 year old nieces were instantly put at ease during radiographs, examination and cleanings. They trusted Dr Araghi completely and also want to come back for further appointments. She took time to explain everything clearly and very patiently answered all our questions.

From the perspective of another medical professional, this clinic and Dr. SHADI MOHAMMADI ARAGHI DMD are amazing. She was so calm and soothing to James for his cavity filling today. Her entire team is top notch. Best of all James and Finn look forward to their visits!

They were so patient with our 2.5 and 4.5 year old and made the experience light hearted and fun. Plus we left with brand new Sonicare toothbrushes! Our kids keep talking about how fun their trip to the dentist was - who can say that?!

This is the best dentist ever! Everyone is so kind and pacient, they know what they are doing. I highly recommend them! The kids earn coins for prizes, they are given a goodie bag, get to pick a show to watch while getting their teeth cleaned, and they get to pick from the prize bucket. They are very accommodating, when my son was literally freaking it because he was so nervous, they knew exactly what to do. I never felt like they were annoyed, or that we were unwelcome. They were comforting me! And worked with me to get him calm. My kids now ask to go to the dentist.

Our first experience with Highlands Kids Dentistry was after my son fell and chipped his tooth. Dr. Shadi was quick to respond to our weekend emergency call(on Mother's Day) and had great advice as well as was able to get us in the next day to evaluate his chipped tooth. She and all the assistants we have worked with there were great with my son. I'm thoroughly impressed at their tricks, techniques and soothing personalities that allow for a successful visit during the emergency, as well as on our follow up visits. They have a great atmosphere set up for kids and I'm happy we found them.

They are extremely good. Very friendly staff.Always received honest advice. So far we love this place!

I had to switch insurance plans and made sure my new policy would work here. I love this place as they are constantly dealing with overworked parents and are so kind about rescheduling and sending reminders. My kids love this place with all the toys, prizes, games and movies. They do great work :)

I just recently brought my daughter here for the first time. We had a really great experience, everyone was very welcoming and helped my daughter feel comfortable. We've been very happy with Dr. Araghi. The office is very kid friendly. The kids love that they get tokens for a small prize. New patients get a free kids Sonic Care toothbrush. The assistant has always been great.

Nice place for kids, the only downside is there is only street parking. I didn't have any problem with insurance billing either, always a plus!

Nice and Clean facility, Saturday appointments, TV on the ceiling to keep entertained during cleaning makes keeping up with dentist appointments a breeze for parents. Kids get tokens at the end of the appointment to use it for the games in the waiting area. Makes appointments so much fun than fear.

My son had a really difficult time at the regular dentist. When we went to Highlands Kids Dentistry he was apprehensive but we got through the whole appointment with no tears! Turns out he had multiple cavities that needed filling and the staff and dentist were so wonderful with him. We ve had a fabulous experience so far. I will be recommending Highlands Kids Dentistry and Dr. Shadi to anyone who has children.

My son and I switched here about 4 years ago and are very happy we did. The previous dentist I had been seeing since I was a kid and while the Dr changed hands now for a 3rd time there, nothing else did. All their practices seemed out of date. At Highlands Dentistry and Kids Dentistry, every thing seems new and improved. Other then their popularity which makes it hard to get an appointment, they are fantastic.

We have been established patients at highlands kids dentistry for years but recently moved from Issaquah to Everett. We came back today just to see Dr. Shadi. Our new dentist had told us my 3 year old had 6 cavities! We went to Dr. Shadi and she took xrays and found that my daughter has the beginning of one not six as we had been told! The customer service has always been wonderful. The office is clean and staff are very knowledgeable. Dr. shadi has always been very kind, is great with the kids and makes sure to explain things and answer all my questions. She s seen my 10 year old in the past as well and I can t say enough how much we love it there! It s worth the hour drive and we won t go anywhere else again!

They had everything a parent and kid wanted! The waiting room had a couple of play stations. The exam room had him watching a lego movie. There was room for me to sit. The staff was super nice and listened to everything he said! The dentist was great. My grandson loved the place and wanted to know when we were coming back!

My children have been going to Highlands Kids Dentistry for over five years, since one was three years old and the other since her very first dental appointment and on. We are very happy with the staff, and Dr. Araghi is wonderful. I always feel like the kids are so well taken care of, they are happy to go to the dentist, and the whole experience is very positive for them. Dr. Araghi connects extremely well to the children, having such a great bedside manner. She also excels in her ability to discuss with parents any issues or things to keep an eye on, or just what to expect developmentally and how to continue great oral health. Our care is always prompt, service is timely, and there are plenty of things to keep the kids occupied during normal (short, if any) waiting times. Additionally, there is entertainment offered during the dental cleaning period in order to help keep kids distracted during this time that could drive anxiety if they were not otherwise preoccupied. We have moved since initially starting our care here, but the longer drive for us is certainly worth maintaining our children's care at Highlands Kids Dentistry. Our children love going to the dentist!

Took our 1 year old for his first visit because of good reviews. Staff was nice. But every time I asked the doctor about something that she was saying, she would change her answers. Also, did not expect to be able to see the kids through the outside window or have each chair right next to another with only a glass separating them. Finally, when it was time to pay, they tried charging us $80 more than quoted on the phone, and they didn't even clean his teeth!

Loved the atmosphere, very kid friendly and inviting. The staff were great with my daughter. It was her first visit and she was anxious and scared but they did very well in making the situation a fun thing than it is scary. The toy she got at the end of the visit was a plus.

I love the staff and Dr. Garcia had a lot of patience with my 4 year old. My only concern was when the numbing shot was administered, judging by my daughters reaction to having her tooth drilled, the doctor starting drilling the tooth immediately. I am wondering if the numbing medicine had enough time to take effect because the more the doctor drilled the tooth, the more my daughter started to cry. I asked her afterward why did she cry and she said that it hurt.

This place is great with young kids. I started bringing my daughter here when she was about 1-1/2 years old. Dr. Shadi is amazing with young children. She is so sweet and makes them feel comfortable. My daughter's first visit we had Dr. Shadi, the hygienist and myself singing the ABC's to keep her calm. I'd call that above and beyond. Now my daughter is 4 and loves going to the dentist - particularly so she can watch the personal tv screens while they're cleaning her teeth. At the end, she raves about getting a lollipop and a toy for doing so well. I go to Dr. Ray (Dr. Shadi's husband) across the street and they are a wonderful family.

They were very patient and tried their best to make it fun for my son. It was his first time seeing a dentist and he was really nervous. They were fun with him and showed him everything they were doing and used before they did, so it made it less scary. Their reception area had toys and games too so he lots to do while we waited for our appointment. Definitely will be back for his 6 month check up.

We had good experience evey time we visited there. The staff were patient and friendly. There were a lot of fun decorations and a personal DVD player to distract my kids from being nervious. My kids wish they could go there every month :))

We've taken our girls here for the past four years. They are fantastic with kids and the environment is ideal to keep kids entertained and relaxed during their dental visit. The staff is always very friendly and provides clear explanations of what work is being performed or needed.

You get what you pay for... very good service. I don't want to give 5 star because, then there will be no space to improve. Keep up the good work..

Beyond the enticing toy box, the enormous bear holding the toothbrush in the lobby and video games, the dentists are pretty fantastic with the kids and really provide excellent dental care. Every hygenist we have seen went above and beyond instructing my little ones proper brushing techniques and were so patient and likable. Staff at the front counter were very helpful and easy to work with. Everyone here tries to make sure my kid's dental experience is always a positive one. I never feel rushed and I feel like they take their time with my kids. Highly recommend.

We had a really traumatic experience with a pediatric dentist in Issaquah and as a result my kids were absolutely petrified to go to the dentist. After a long search and asking around for referrals for a new dentist we found Highlands Kids Dentistry. Dr. Araghi is very warm and nurturing and my kids absolutely love her. We have been going to Highlands Kids Dentistry since they opened their practice and now my kids look forward to going to the dentist.

The staff has been pretty good with my son who has ASD.

My son who is three now has been going to Highlands Dentistry since he was 1 years old. My son enjoys this place and even ask me if he can go to the dentist again and again! I really like their service they're kind, they're fast and they're really friendly. My kids love going to the Dentist they get really excited when they have a dentist appointment.

As a kid, I didn't enjoy the dentist, however, they make it so comfortable for my 3 boys. Not only do they go the extra mile, they are instilling good hygiene practices and teaching good techniques beyond what I'm able to show them. Staff is great but not as easy to make last minute changes do to high volume of customers but they do have extended hours for convenience. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful Dentist, we have been going for a while and I must definitely say my boys think going to the dentist is a treat. Everyone is very accommodating.

Love this place. A while back they expanded from their main office (across the street) and we couldn't be more pleased with the addition. Now we have a great kid friendly place, now with the addition of Orthodontists and more chairs for more appointment availability. We've seen several dentists and orthodontists here, along with the great staff of hygienists and front desk folks, and have always been happy with the results.

This is by far the best pediatric dentist that we have been to on the Eastside. The staff is wonderful & both my girls love Dr. Shadi. I recommend this practice to all my friends & they love it too!

We love Dr. Shadi! We have been going there since she opened. She has been so wonderful with my kids. She eased my daughter's anxiety. She takes time to explain everything that needs to be done and doesn't do anything if it doesn't need to be done. She is thorough and exceptional. We drive a distance to see her and it's worth it!

Highlands Kids Dentistry was a great find for my family when we moved to the area. They are staffed with great folks, and really understand the "distraction factor" (movies, toys, all means of bribery) that makes a trip to the dentist pain free (for the kids and mom). My kids look forward to going, which says a lot!

This practice is great!!! We moved about 40 minutes away but still keep this as our dentist office. Our dentist is amazing, remembers us when we come in, is super awesome with kids, very likeable, and professional. We would recommend this practice to anyone!!!

Dr. Shadi Aragi is very patient and kind with kids. Other staffs are also very kind and very kids friendly. Always had a very nice experience in Highlands kids dentistry. My daughter who is very shy always love to go there.

We've been very happy with all 3 of our young children's care here! The reception area has toys, books, video games, a TV...plenty to keep kids occupied while waiting. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful; office is clean. Dr. Shadi and Dr. Garcia are both great with the kids....but in my opinion, it's the hygienists who are the rock stars. All are very good at interacting with my kids, getting them to open their mouths, explaining what they're doing, making the experience fun and rewarding rather than the dreaded visit that I remember from my childhood.

My son is 3 and he has so much fun and is so relaxed that since he was 2 they have been able to do full exams and cleanings. The staff is very professional and loving. Honestly as an adult I wish I could go here too! I HIGHLY recommend them and I am so pleased my son has such a positive relationship with cleaning his teeth and going to the dentist!
