We have been to a few "fine dinning" restaurants before. But this hands down beats all of them. It was a bit pricey but soo worth it. The whole drive home we were just talking about how much we loved the food. I would highly recommend going there. You won't be disappointed.

This place is a revelation - glorious food, lovely staff and a fantastic atmosphere. I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed my visits to Chikos - and how I roll out of there each time! Just when you think you can't eat any more of the delicious food (and licked the plate clean), they bring out the deserts. Definitely my go-to restaurant - and I live on the North Shore!

Interesting Japanese fusion dishes, would love to try everything on their menu. There is no need to check out the desserts from their dessert cabinet, because they bring the 'cabinet' over to your table and explain what each dessert/cake is, awesome service.

Was absolutely blown away! It s Father s Day and we didn t book a table. We started walking outside and saw that there were 2 empty tables so the waitress put them together for us. It was a beautiful day and sitting outside was ideal. We ordered and were told the kitchen is busy so it will be a bit of a wait.. we were fine with that. All our waitresses were so friendly and kept checking on us. We ended up getting the dessert first as we were hungry- the mango pudding was out the gate! And the Apple crumble was nice too but not as nice. He Yakitori was Delish! Be wedges were nice too but I thought that it was kinda like skins but still wedges.. anyway it was nice. The steamed pork buns were insanely good too! We had a great time and would happily visit again

First time here, food was fabulous, if not a little bit cold. Waitress was a natural at her job and advised us on a choice of food available. The desert was to die for. Certainly this will not be our last time here.

Had lunch with 18 friends today. All unanimous best dining experience in a long time, equivalent of a Master Chef experience. Food and desserts out of this world. Repeat visit by some and definite repeat visits to come by all.

Service is hopeless. Staring at our finished empty plates for over 25 minutes. No heating.A very cold restaurant considering the price of meals youd think they could afford to warm the place a bit

Food was creative and tasted good. Services were good, especially from the Japanese lady who explained the cuisines to us. It was expensive. An entree was on average $20+ and main around $30 to $40. The setting was lovely but wasn't worth the price to me and my friends. This might be because we didn't have a reservation and was seated outside.

Such a massive disappointment tonight, really upset that a favourite place has gone down hill We had a large birthday group who although happy had terrible slow service. Our food arrived at intervals so that one end of the table had finished two courses before others had eaten anything. The Bento box meal for 50 bucks was awful, I'm sorry to say.

Stopped in for lunch today for a table of 3. 27th May 2020
Ordered the Salmon (Main)
Bento Box (Special Main)
Sea Food Chowder ( Entree)
Sangria - (drink)

The Seafood Chowder and Salmon were perfect, exquisite presentation of all dishes including the bento box but the bento box was a mixture of inconsistencies. Some meats overcooked and dried which didn't make it very pleasant to eat, however, overall food was above par. Sangria was delicious too.

There were two female staff members serving (not sure if they were owners) but the younger of the two (without a face mask) was not very hospitable at all, not at all welcoming, no smile or any intention to show gratitude for supporting this business.

To conclude, despite the amazing and delicious food and without taking into account the costs of your meals my score reflects the service as this experience is the lasting impression I have of this restaurant . Word of advise, If you want public support during a financial crisis as a result of this covid-19 pandemic you'll need to make a big effort to show basic hospitality practices and learn to put a smile on your face and show some gratitude to your patrons who are coming in to spend money to help keep your business afloat. There was just no "THANK YOU" grrr so sour looking too.
We won't be in any rush to come back here.

A bit on the pricey side when it comes to food, but taste wise, it's amazing. The crispy pata (pork knuckle) is a must try. The steak, which is $40+, was actually really good. If you go as a group, some dishes are actually big enough to share. It's a must that you book in to secure a spot. Have been back multiple times already, and will definitely keep coming back. One thing to note is parking can be a bit tough, so be earlier for your booking. Or if you don't mind the walk, there are aide streets near by.
