It is a community-based theater performance and education space that targets young people and advocates communion. The location is far from the centre of London, about an hour away.
Lovely community theatre. Always welcoming, always fun. Go see a show there - or just meet a friend for a snack or coffee. Whatever your choice, you'll be supporting a great inclusive theatre project!
Wicked day out really enjoyed the performance and food afterwards.
Just been to see DON'T STOP THINKING ABOUT TOMORROW. show about global warning. Was not really sure what to expect, but oh my god what a fantastic performance by alll students. So much passion. An amazing organisation which fully deserves the public's support. Inspirational.
What a lovely place and people, we really enjoyed tales from the shed and will definitely be going back
I ve always had amazing experiences at chicken shed and loved their inclusive ethos until I recently booked tickets to see tales from the shed, wasn t told there was an age limit when I booked and was refused entry on the day! My son was devastated!
An inclusive theatre complex on Southgate/Cockfosters roundabout.
Usually open day and evening. Disabled toilets.
Inclusive theatre company in North London. Inspirational to be able to attend a parents and baby workshop (planet play) where the theatre company including those with varying levels of disabilities also ran the workshop. A phenomenal example to set to children of all ages about inclusivity and accepting everyone regardless of differences. Highly recommended.
Went for the monthly music jam on the second Sunday of the month . Music was fantastic . Food in the cafe was great and reasonably priced would highly recommend a visit.

Excellent venue from the annual show to the smaller events for the little ones. Been going here for years
I enjoy studying here in chickenshed
It has opened my eyes to possibilities this theatre is no normal theatre it has changed the way I think about the world and mostly myself.
Every time when I am on stage all of my worries about reality goes away, I am just Me I also feel like I belong. I have made amazing friends over the year I have been there, they are my best friends.
And it's all thanks to chickenshed.
Great youth theatre production Transition examining fear of change & society's stereotypes - great choreography and thought provoking subjects.
The Rapunzel play is outstanding! Great for any age and made with love and joy to spread! Highly recommended!
Nice venue with a community feel. Performance space was really good.

A great little theatre for children with a disability, excellent programme by the pupils and staff, would recommend to visit and support.
Brilliant show, great atmosphere and food was reasonably priced with large portions. Recommended
Saw a fantastic show. Scrooge. My friends daughter is in it. Highly recommend it.
An inspirational center of excellence for local community. Christmas Carol show was excellent. The place oozes enthusiasm and in the light of recent arts funding cuts must be a celebrated local asset.
This theatre do brilliant shows and I would highly recommend this theatre for people of all ages.
Chickenshed is a joy to attend whether it be to a performance in thehe well designed Rayne Theatre or in The Dance Studio.

What came first - the Chickenshed or the amazing "egg" that is a fantastic venue for local shows and more? Was there to work on a charity book launch and found them easily one of the better theatres I've had the pleasure to be in over the last few years. Everyone else speaks highly of them, and I can only presume the outstanding experience I had of the venue is one that represents their longer term provision.
Great venue, very welcoming to all and a nice layout. I was there for a Tales from the Shed performance and a young ones birthday, both of which were expertly handled. There's free parking outside and the venue prices are very reasonable.
What a fabulous local theatre.
Free parking, lovely (reasonably priced) bar/diner, small intimate theatre and friendly staff. Saw a great performance of Jekyll and Hyde which was well acted (and sung) by the actors. Even better to know that this venture is inclusive for all members of the community. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic show, fantastic theatre, fantasic people. Brilliant evening
Five star productions. Well priced and very inclusive of all ages and abilities. Great place
Never having attended a Chicken Shed production before, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I feel what I experienced was exceptional. The gent who played Faust held the stage, delivered his lines with utter credibility and was intuitive to cover, when minor things weren't quite going to plan. The other actors held their roles well, too.
Great singing, particularly strong from the ladies - fab.
The stage design was wonderfully creative- by Sunny Smith. Great concept and convertable use of props.
Lightening worked well. The music/sound effects were interesting - there was a rattly- froggy sort of sound that was quite errie - brilliant.
We really enjoyed the experience. The general support team were friendly, the theatre space was nice and intimate, so one felt almost involved. Wow! We had a good time! Many thanks to everyone.
Good show amazing inclusivity for those with special learning needs which was lovely to see
Fantastic for kids and food and outdoor lunch on a sunny day.Fantastic interactive performances for under 6 and family.
Came to watch the show Rapunzl. It was brilliant. My 5 year old loved it. And me too. Really well put together, actors did amazing performance, loved the music, spoken words. It was a brilliant show. Well done. Parking available if you come early. Otherwise you are better off parking on the streets around.
Don t bother - Our view of the performance was completely ruined by the flashing spinning lights they sold to people on the way in and during the interval. In a darkened theatre this kind of light pollution is entirely unacceptable. I was really really annoyed; I asked the family directly in front if they would switch it off during the performance and was told no, they sell them here . What a ridiculous thing to allow during the show. This is supposed to be an inclusive performance venue and even for those without additional needs it s immensely distracting and annoying. For our party, which included a child with autism, this made it a total write off. Would never return.
Little girl loved it. Well put together show for 6 and under.
