It's a beautiful, old, Chicago building. Bathrooms downstairs were tidy. Seats are not very comfortable (but what do you expect for an old theater). The sound for the event I attended was a little low. Not bad but if the audience applauded you couldn't hear the speaker. Small complaint. We'd go back.

Nice, older venue. Payed extra for front row balcony so my son's view would be unobstructed only to find out that they hang curtains on the bars so his view was completely obstructed and he had to sit on my lap as they had no boosters. Next time going with the cheap seats for better view.

The sign is so.... Chicago! Love going to the Chicago Theatre, and am very excited to A Christmas Story: The Musical (!) this holiday season. I've been here for many events and always love it: hysterical night with Kathy Griffin, rocking nights with Widespread Panic and Sufjan Stevens and for many benefits, there is not a bad seat in the house! Fun fact: The vertical sign "C-H-I-C-A-G-O," is almost six stories high!

The theater that bears Chicago's name. This venue is perfect for comedians, shows, and concerts. It has both an old-timey charm and modern amenities. I would definitely recommend stopping by for whatever's showing when you're in town.

I was a disappointed with the VIP piece. The people were really nice and earn 5 stars but the area was small and not enough room to sit. Then my daughter is special needs and the guy said the doors were open and they weren't so it took me 30min to calm her down and the guards were less than friendly.

This is a beautiful theater. The attention to detail in the architecture is amazing. The way the ceiling is painted is delightful and reminiscent of the renaissance era's value of making the entire building a work of art. Balcony seats still have a good view of the stage, not a great view but good. Sound and lighting is good. The multiple locations for beverage lines are a nice touch and I feel it minimizes the wait. Drink prices are not so nice but it is Chicago. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous.

There on December 31st for the All STAR COMEDY SHOW. The place was like a Frezzer, I could never take off my Fur Coat. My date was shaking so hard from being cold. I thought it was just me. No everyone was complaining about the heat. Over priced main floor seating and the $8.00 popcorn was ice cold alone woth the weak coffee luke warm. $12.00 for cold popcorn and a cup of coffee. Never returning. The staff was cold too, nice and helpful but they were wearing winter scarfs and gloves throughout the event. Such a waste of money!! The Stage was bare nothing that represented bringing in 2017..... Do not ever go to this ceamp seatimg, Ice Box place... NEVER, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

By far my favorite concert venue in Chicago. The building is iconic and well kept and the acoustics incredible. I have watched over 15 concerts here from quiet intimate sets with pin-drop silence from the audience to hard rocking performances. You can hear every note clearly regardless whether you are in the balcony or the main floor. Also, the way the place is laid out, you get a pretty intimate feel even when you are up in the balcony.

It's very easy to find from the street and the inside is beautiful. Seating is easy to find, but there is always an usher there to help as well. Not enough restroom options, even for men,he line was ridiculous. Four glasses of wine, small popcorn and a shareable bag of M&Ms cost $40 even. The seating is comfortable as well.
Also, they do not give a warning for when the performace is about to start. Most theaters give a 5 minute warning before a performance begins.

One of my favourite venues in Chicago; it s got an old world charm which really adds to the experience. Only caveat, chairs are not built for modern audiences - seating is pretty tight for the taller or more well built among us!

Saw the Grinch and loved it. Disappointed with the bathrooms. Went to ladies room about half way through the play. It was out off paper towels while many folks working there were in the hallways on their phones. Also concessions said they were closed at that time also. So why the play was great the service was disappointing and I've never had that before at this theater.

Love the Chicago Theater. It was very easy to get in, their drinks and snacks available have a lot to choose from. They have Spirits, wine, candy, popcorn. Probably would appreciate if they had some healthier selections like Luna bars or some gluten-free options. There is not a bad seat in this house! The sound and Acoustics were excellent we saw Ben Platt here for his inaugural night in his multi-city tour and it was absolutely magical! We have seen other performers here as well and appreciate that there is plenty of parking right near the theater and lots of places to eat within walking distance.

First time here and really loved it. Super clean and friendly staff. We sat in the "balcony boxes" and I would totally recommend doing that! Tons of legroom but you are a little far to the side of the stage. The beauty of the theater is comparable to the Coronado.
