Lovely theater with an old vintage feel;the velvety seats were quite comfy and the beautiful chandeliers add a classy touch to the fine architecture. Staff members were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful theater. The balcony seating is rather steep making it feel awkward climbing the stairs. It was a little hard to understand what people on stage were saying but it may have just been the sound set up for the particular show. Their music had to much bass.

This seems to be the venue for nearly every show I attend lately. Granted, this is apparently due to the fact that the podcasting community has spread the word as to its quality.

Sound and sight lines are good, theater is clean and the ushers are helpful, polite and plentiful. Concessions are predictably expensive, but that seems to be any venue these days (at least they take cards).

Only negative is that the restrooms are limited and in need of modernization. Otherwise, a great venue.

It's all about the experience. The beauty, the details, the reminiscent times of yesteryear.

To take all of the visual beauty in is to love this place. It's not about. The price of drinks or popcorn...it's about being in the moment and taking in an experience. The sound for shows here is crisp. Very intimate and enjoyable!

The show was excellent but the staff was extremely rude. One employee placed my party in a line to pick up our tickets but once we were inside, I was forcefully removed and told I would not be able to get my tickets without waiting in line again.

Went to a 90s RB concert. The theater is downtown on State street, easy to see, challenging to get to because of traffic. Plenty of parking garages around there. The venue served drinks, and had several levels. I will go back again for another show there.

Was very cool because of the history but the place was freezing due to the doors being open for entrance and exit at the end. Also maybe was just the guy in front of me but I couldn t angle myself to see the comedian so got pretty annoying after a while. Would like to do a tour probably gives a better experience and context of the building history.

The theater is incredible a bit old but functional, I'm a fan of Madonna 20 years ago and is a sad girl who lost her shine, used to have magical and incredible shows but this show was the worst thing then I never seen, it became more political and boring , much talk little show, the truth leaves much to be desired in my way of seeing things deviated from being a great talent now just talk and talk and the truth is not what I came to see, this is very very particular point of view.

I love this venue. It's a smaller venue which makes it more personal. The architecture is awesome. All around a great place to see a show. I have been there a couple times never had a bad seat.

My son & I recently went to the Chicago Theatre to see Daniel Tosh, totally loved the atmosphere and overall appearance of the theatre. Totally loved the blast from the past era with a new age twist look the theatre had. I love looking at pictures of how buildings looked in their original design so I was in heaven on y'all lower level looking at the pictures from yesteryear I even been to alot of those places in my childhood, just being there and looking at those pictures made my day. Tosh picked the perfect place to have his show.

This is my favorite theater in Chicago for many reasons!

First it is iconic on State Street. It just glows and sparkles for everyone to see. It also is a great place to take a photo. Get a photo here and no one will say to you, "So where was this taken?"

Second, there have been some amazing shows here too. And these shows range from musicals to magic shows to rock concerts.

Some of my favorite shows here have been:
The Gypsy Kings - They rocked out the stage. It seemed like there were 15 guys playing acoustic guitar and the lights were flashing and everyone was dancing on there seats. The theater was full of amazing happy energy.
David Copperfield - Disappeared from stage and appeared in the middle of theater on a motorcycle. I know it is all and illusion but that was really incredible to see.
Donnie Osmond in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" - honestly I think that show ran for like 10 years. It was the show that electrified the city and brought back real broadway shows to Chicago. Donnie owned the city and could do no wrong.

So that is my short list of some of the amazing acts and talents I have seen here and I know there are many more shows to see. New York has Broadway but I hate to tell them Chicago has Broadway too!

I absolutely love the Chicago Theatre. It is a great venue to go see any show whether it's music a play or even Paw Patrol with your kids.

I seen two cellos play here and it was the perfect venue for that show.

Very excited to go see Bill Burr there in November.

Must see inside to truly appreciate. Take a tour - the organ is so amazing! Such an incredible history, so beautiful. I can only imagine how neat it would be to see a concert or other event here. Be sure to check it out, even if you're not into theater.

Very iconic place! But needs better and comfortable seats and more controling to those people to stand in front of people and block the views to other.
The empmoyees who take guest to their seats should remind them to seat down..just a rminder, it's not a rave.
Bathrooms should have an attendant to keep the place cleaner, disinfected, spray it around, line up please.
People pay a lot of money to see a show confortable..by the time shows are over we come out feels like we had a mild stroke and smelling like farts and yellow face with hepatitis.. Clean up, light bulbs out on the marquee..line up. We got there, we were not even greeted.
We got scanned by this unfriendly transgender with shehe looked like a troll. Sorry, they still need to be more friendly regardless of gender please..
Thank you..
