Went here after getting my car fixed across the street with my dad. Absolutely fantastic!!! Even gave free pretzels to their local Starbucks on Christmas Day. Extremely kind, fast, and wonderful people working there. I even asked for a manager to complement the staff. As one customer told me as I was walking in: it s happiness in a bag!! I couldn t agree more.

Great friendly staff and the pretzels are always fresh and amazing. My personal favorite is the italian beef stuffed prezel with au jus. I have tried a couple and I also like the cinnamon sugar prezel to satisfy my sweet tooth once in a while. If you haven't been here before, I would recommend checking it out for yourself.

My buddy told me about this place the other day - interesting concept!! The pretzels were amazing, and the staff are super friendly. If you're interested in something a little off the beaten path, then I'd definitely give it a try. I got the Monterrey Stuffed Pretzel - delishhhhhhh! Gonna have to come back next Friday and try the pretzel dog.

AWESOME. Saw them on a show think called Eating Around Chicago. Had to try them out. So glad we did. Bought the box of Gnarly Knots with the dipping sauces and brought to a friend's house on Saturday and they were a great hit. Our friends were asking where to get them. They will also be going there. My sister is getting a box to bring back to NC. Gotta check them out if you are wondering about them.
They have daily specials that are very good. The soups are also a good addition to pretzels.
The food is amazing, I frequent regularly and have tried most of their stuffed pretzels and have yet to be disappointed. The staff is really friendly as well. Check it out, you won't regret it
This place was awesome! What a great selection of unique pretzels and dips. I got the pretzel dog which was huge and did not disappoint. My wife loves pretzels so I got them as a treat while out and about the other day. She said it was the best pretzel she has ever had. They apparently also do pretzel stuffing because people were picking up trays of it for Thanksgiving. I am going to have to try that one next year.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! If you like BBQ, make sure you go when they have the BBQ brisket pretzel. It's uhhhhhmazing. Their tomato bisque soup is also delicious along with their apricot/habanero dipping sauce. SO GOOD!

This is one of those places that should be featured in an Anthony Bourdain episode. People should come from miles around to have a pretzel dog here. It's one of the best snacks I've ever had, can't recommend this place enough.
Great pretzels! Always fresh and tasty. In addition to the full menu every day, there are also specials. The BBQ brisket and Italian Beef are not to be missed! Also, it's easy to overlook, but don't forget the soup. It's all good too. You can even purchase quarts frozen to take home. They have very limited hours and even more limited seating. It's totally worth it!
I love their pretzels, but the convenience factor makes it not too easy to go. Parking lot is tiny, it's always crowded and the line can be long just to have them already run out of menu items.
Come early, be patient and you'll be happy.
Their pretzels are so good. I got a tater tot stuffed one. What more could you ask for? The soup did not disappoint either.
Went to Gnarly Nots yesterday have to say just delicious my son is a pretzel connoisseur that herb butter dip is soooo good and didn't realize you sold dog pretzels I got back in line for a second purpose definitely worth the drive plus the town is very cute loved it wish we could have one in rolling meadows thank you you again

My son-in-law, Carter, has been raving about these special pretzel sandwiches for months, so when my wife and I came to Chicago to visit he took us to Gnarly Knots in Winfield. We arrived 45 minutes early to be the first in line when they opened...yes, he likes them THAT much! It was a good strategy as the parking lot was full within a few minutes and we were at the front of a line of about 75 waiting customers. (Nobody gets lines like this unless they have outstanding food). It was worth the wait. Wow are these stuffed pretzels delicious!! They easily rank among my top 3 sandwiches of all time, and I've had a lot of sandwiches in my 52 years. Don't miss this culinary treat if you are anywhere near the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Thanks Carter for the great lunch! PS - the dessert pretzels are fantastic as well :-)

Went for the first time today and split a salted pretzel with nacho cheese and honey mustard. Honey mustard was really good. Next time I think I'll try the cinnamon and sugar one. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

My go-to lunch place whenever I'm in the area. Do not be deceived by the "pretzels". . . these are a full meal. They are delicious and service is remarkably fast. Employees are friendly as well. Very cute little place that is easy to pass by if you aren't paying attention. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later!
This place has the best preztals I have ever had. This was the first time I went and I was blown away by how good the itilan beef preztal was. Everything I tried me and my friends loved, I would recommend this to everyone.

Simply the best pretzels in the Chicagoland area. You can't beat Gnarly Knots. Their stuffed pretzels are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo. Service is very fast. They usually have outdoor seating, but due to COVID-19, the tables have been removed. If you're ever visiting Winfield and you have a taste for a "Gnarly" pretzel, Gnarly Knots is the place to go.

Nice pot to stop for lunch. Friendly service but can get very busy at times. Check out there specials but sometimes they sell out quick so best to stop in early. Just down the road from CDH so it's a very convenient spot to stop if you're near there.
