First time visiting & all 4 of us had burgers. We did have a rather long wait but the burgers were delicious. Due to length of time all of us had cool fries. We didn't send them back just because we didn't have time to wait any longer. Would return again just because the meal overall was good.
If you are looking for a warm welcome, friendly faces, and excellent food, Chevelle's has got you covered. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining, have a full bar, and a great atmosphere. Located in the heart of downtown Murphy NC, Chevelle's has it all... Food, live music, karaoke, and of course sports tv. Big fun with that downhome, family feeling!
Good place to go in Murphy, NC, for live music and "eatable" food. This is an area of Appalachia where most places selling alcohol close at 8 PM, so I am thankful for Chevelle's.
If your looking for some good wings then chevelles is the spot you want.
Ive eaten hear at least 30 times while in town for business, its the only place I really eat in Murphy. The food is consistent, somewhat inspired. Service is generally really good, even though they can get busy. Worth a visit. It is a little expsensive IMO.
The food is expensive for what you get. The fries were identical to McDonald's and I paid $8.99 for 4 mozzarella sticks. Wack.
Also, the host and server were both rude.

A great option for nice dinner. Not the typical bar food.... I would say best steak in town.
Excellent food. A little slow to the table, but well worth the wait.
Really good nova burger. Waitresses are very nice and personable.
A little pricey for the quality of the food, but they try to compensate with portion size. What we received wasn't quite what we ordered, but they were gracious in correcting the errors.
Good food cold beer. Staff was friendly and reactive.
The food was absolutely incredible. The burgers were huge, juicy, and cooked perfectly to order. Fantastic atmosphere both in the bar and in the family section. It smells delicious inside and the service is second to none. Would recommend to anyone in town.

I ve eaten at Chevelle s plenty of times, and I can t recall ever having a bad experience. The service is good. I always get the wings & fries, and they re very good! Also, if you have kids, they provide crayons and coloring sheets, which helps keep them occupied before the food comes out. I would recommend this place to anyone living/visiting the Murphy area.
Food wasn't good, waited about half an hour for appetizers, then another 40 minutes for entrees. The entire time we were waiting, we were batting flies away. When the food came, more flies did as well, to the point that he couldn't eat our food!
My order was incorrect, so the server took it back, only for me to wait another 40 minutes. Everyone I was with had decided they were done because of the flies so I had to get my order to go. When we asked about the flies, we were told "it's been an ongoing problem for the last couple of weeks." Obviously they're not doing anything to resolve it. Horrible experience.
We have a small group that go out every Wednesday evening. We found Chevelle's last week. Our server was Joe (awesome guy). The food was great. This place knocked it out of the park.
We went back again tonight. Joe was our server again. This guy is a rock star!!! Our food was awesome.
We are so glad to have found this place.

Came here for the first NFL game for the Minnesota Vikings in their new stadium! The owners piece of son sits on the sideline and will not get my game on outside absolute white trash!
Worst restaurant in all of Murphy. Some of the staff is friendly and the rest are completely ignorant and awful. If you want to wait for over an hour for breakfast lunch or dinner then this is your type of place. Or if you want to support a business that doesn't pay their staff overtime, punishes them by taking them off the schedule if they request a day off no matter how long the notice given, works them to death and let's their kids treat all the hardworking employees like dirt (and steals money from the staff!) then be my guest and go have a drink and some over priced food that u will be waiting all day for. So much potential but it's run by spoiled brats and people who can't keep anyone good on staff because they run them off. Please do yourself a favor and literally go ANYWHERE BUT here. And if you do want to go to chevelles make the drive to Hayesville and go to the Chevelles 69, it at least has a better staff and a quarter of the wait time for food, basically all around chevelles 66=doesn't care at all. Chevelles 69=tries as best they can and are better because the owners and their kids are hardly there to screw EVERYTHING up, from employees, to quality. Such a shame because I know they have been in town for a very long time- but they must have made a deal with the devil when they opened because I think the only reason the doors are still open is because no one else has a regular bar in Murphy to SHUT THEM DOWN! Please do not support this business. PLEASE!
This place is fantastic. Great place for wings and burgers. Great patio outback.
Ended up here by accident. We will return! Burgers are excellent. Crab cakes taste great (although thin and flat). House bbq sauce is amazing. Foothills beer on tap. Server was very attentive and friendly. Order arrived as expected.
I usually have good food. However, I ordered the special. It was tuna marinated and grilled and served over linguine. It was barely edible as well as cold. My husband ordered a salmon BLT which came 10 minutes after my cold dinner was received. His was also lukewarm.
The service was good and price but my hamburger was pink and a little undercooked.
Establishment has become a bit shabby. Food was still good. New bathrooms are great.

Great music, daily specials are creative and the menu is quite good. The staff and management are a delight!! There is always something fun happening at this established. Not to mention the family friendly environment. Great job Chevelle's!
Apple glazed moonshine on the pork chops were superb! I have never tasted a better pork chop in my life!!
This bar has a wide variety of beers on tap and in bottles. Bartenders are attentive and friendly. Their food is not the typical bar food, but some really great offerings on specials, great burgers and trout and fantastic wings. There is entertainment almost every night and the best place for people meeting / talking/ watching in Murphy.
We must have gone on an off night. Don't get me wrong! Our server was great, the food was awesome. But we were there for over two hours after we were seated, just to get dinner and dessert for two people. However, the server and the manager were very apologetic and sincere. I will definitely give them another chance. The mozzarella sticks were the best!
