I was very pleasantly surprised by this park.
The attractions are really super nice and we learn a lot of things about volcanoes whether adult or child (mine are 5 and 7 years old)
However, many attractions are authorized from 1m10, this is a fact to be taken into account because they are the most interesting.
Almost all of the attractions are indoors as well as the queues, which makes it possible to visit this park even in bad weather.
I highly recommend for a nice little family time.

Tourist scam without any interest

Tourist scam without any interest
almost no educational contribution
sensational effect at 4 under
delusional price
"we will no longer be trapped by the Auvergne Region ... and its pharaonic projects unsuitable and anti-ecological (a shame) such as Vulcania or Puy de Dome!"

Always interesting but impossible to see everything, do in 1 day (11h / 18h) we spend 2 hours for lunch between the queue and the service at the Brasserie where the price of lunch is expensive, for more than average dishes (truffle made the day before). On the other hand the staff is really great.
Vulcania entrance fees are exorbitant 2 adults (including 1 discounted) 3 children = 108 euros! Add meals 99 euros which makes a day at: 207 euros!
In short, Vulcania is good but overpriced

Super park combining fun activities (thrills ...) and discovery activities to enrich your knowledge ... Not too much waiting to complete the attractions and motivated animators ... Very good time with my two 12-year-old sons and 15 years old!

Top!

If you have watched a minimum of documentaries on TV on volcanoes, and you are a regular museum go your way and keep your money. Here it is a pseudo scientific amusement park where everything remains superficial and reduced to visual audio.

Very interesting visit, however I have a phobia of snakes, and I did not at all appreciate neither to see them on the big screen, nor to "feel" them because after that I had a lot of trouble finding my calm and my minds! It is ideal for feeling sick and going to the emergency room! :(

Without much interest! Amusement park mainly for families and children. Volcanoes are only a thematic support with an ambition much more playful than educational. It's a bit the same principle as the Futuroscope but poorer. Some attractions with dynamic seats or platforms, a giant screen and addos everywhere (school outings require)!
To see, the tunnel of the fiery clouds: pathetic !!!
If you are looking to expand your knowledge of vulcanology and volcanoes, there is nothing for you.
And if you do not know anything and it tempts you, it is better to turn to a bookstore specializing in books on this theme.
On the other hand, if you have kids between 5 and 15 years, it will be very good for them.
Entry quite expensive (24.00 per person in May 2016) but parking (again) free!
Friendly and friendly staff.
Very clean and well maintained places.
Orientation in the site quite confusing! The plan given to the entrance is quite stingy with details while being quite snoring!
All indications are only in French ...

Social distancing well implemented by staff. Too bad people do not respect the distances in the queues yet well signposted on the ground.
The plan provided by the park is not well explained lack of precision.
the shows should perhaps be clarified that they are more for children than for adults.
The schedules of the attractions are not respected and suddenly we can not be on time for another.
The staff are very polite and courteous and don't hesitate to provide advice if you need

The visit is interesting for children between 6 and 10 years old. For the older ones it's a bit too simplistic I think and for the younger ones the dynamic attractions lose their interest.
The location and the hosts counterbalance this inconvenience so that you can still have a good time. I learned more about the region than about volcanoes: D

Mediocre attractions, graphics worthy of the year 2000.

How can we renew so little in 17 years? Especially considering the ticket price of 27.5 euros, exhorbitant given the little to do, should allow to invest in evolutions in addition to covering the charges ...

A tourist trap for rainy days.

Very good experience: top activities and shows. For young children and teenagers. Beautiful park but unfortunately the weather deprived us of many outdoor explorations. Very friendly and helpful staff on site. To redo.

Not bad but nothing more. The staff are very pleasant and available. 1:30 p.m. and more snack, forced to fall back on the cafeteria which is mediocre, fried minced steak at 10 (take your picnic) you will eat better.

Amusement park with discovery sessions on the theme of volcanoes and on the planet EARTH. A 3D universe in most sessions. The volcano shape is well integrated into the local landscape. The outside part is a park with games for the little ones. Request the audio guide for the first visit.

Park for the little ones, not for the big ones. We did not learn anything, too bad. The 2019 show with the drones is laughable so it could have been very interesting, the 3D of the dragon ride is really nil. It's a shame.
The only thing good, the huge screen and the movies on offer.

Very nice place for young and old
Possible to visit the park over 1 day but to take advantage of everything, count rather two, especially with children.

A lot of noise for not much.

A lot of noise for not much.
A beautiful discovery of volcanoes from different countries at the beginning of the course.
The rest is just trickery, waiting at least 15 minutes for mediocre attractions that last only 5 minutes.
This says your day will be the architecture and the setting being beautiful, and if the weather is nice the smallest can at least let off steam in a large park.
Is not it expensive to pay to finally frolic on a lawn (if it is nice and it is not won at the end of July).

Management of the Covid by staff: top, by visitors much less. Then we are at Disney or at Futuroscope, here no or very little information on volcanoes, we are clearly in playful recreation with a lot of screens, mobile seats and other 3D ... For workshops and presentation, you have to be present in advance, even in "limited" attendance. Extremely disappointed!

Disappointed, we went there to the bridge of Ascension. The members of the park warned us at the entrance that there would be many people but the place is not adapted to accommodate as many. So, we only had 2 attractions with waiting hours, even the simple screen broadcasts were complete. It would be wiser to no longer accept a person at the entrance from a certain threshold rather than to offer a mediocre performance. A little expensive for what we could do there.

We went to visit Vulcania at the beginning of October, nothing to say, very few people and very pleasant.

A really interesting place where you learn a lot about volcanoes. Ideal if you have kids between 8 and 12 years old, beyond I think they'll bother. I recommend going for a walk around the giant screen, the hurricane movie is awesome. The outside space is nice but nothing more, the most interesting being inside, in rainy weather, it goes very well.

Excellent, to do, very interesting and fun at the same time, Vulcania allows you to spend a pleasant day with the family and to discover and understand the environment around us in Auvergne. Everything is covered from the creation of the universe to that of the earth, the presence of volcanoes, earthquakes and even Tsunamis. Must do if you pass near Clermont-Ferrand.

We experienced the family experience (2 adults and 2 children). The children have a nice day with various activities but a lot of waiting despite the use of the mobile application. Personally I was not convinced, the activities are too different and very short on average. I remember the friendliness of the staff and the well maintained places. A point of irritation: the lunch break where the cafeteria and the brewery were stormed. Despite 45 minutes of waiting, we did not manage to get into the brewery. Fall in the cafeteria: and new wait for grilling. The cook is very professional and patient: deep respect for the one who had to see 1000 people!

Ability to do most attractions even if it is raining. G liked the movies in 4d. Attention to the descent in bathe, the jolts surprise if one does not hold the railing. A little disappointed by the film about Laurent Pesque. Great the guided tour.
