Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort Review

I got my hair cut by Brittney. She did an amazing job!

The food was delicious and we were served quickly. We were the only ones in the bar at the time. The waitress was wonderful and made our lunch enjoyable!

It's always a great time having events at Chestnut Ridge. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The employees or the 37 Grille and Spike Bar are great and super fun.

Tee boxes terrible ,the course is not like it used to be !!! Everything in Rough shape!

We were at the resort upstairs for a wedding. Very nicely done.

Amy was a joy to work with and chef David's food was outstanding! My daughter Lisa's wedding was outstanding from start to finish and my wife Meg and I couldn't be more pleased! Recommend 100%

My sister got married here in 2012. The place was beautiful for a wedding and the food was delicious; however we had many problems with our wedding "coordinator". First off, there was a wedding the Friday before and we wanted to be in there by 8am to set up for our wedding.. well it was a complete disaster, no one was cleaning up the room.. one woman was sweeping, our coordinator was nowhere to be found because she attended the wedding the night before. We recruited our family to help clean the mirrors on the table, put every single decoration up, put the vases on the tables, set up the cookie room, etc. Wedding coordinator didn't show up til about 10 or so.. and was absent most of the morning.. We went over what the decorations were to look like outside under the tent.. no one made sure they were set up.. so my family was down at the tent an hour before it started rushing to pull it together.. Later in the day, when we were called down to walk down the aisle our coordinator made us sit in a room for well over a half hour while storm clouds gathered.. to this day we don't know why we had to wait so long while everyone was seated outside.. after waiting what seemed like forever, we got down the aisle before the rain started. I do not believe the wedding coordinator was seen again.

Very displeased with our service here. Very beautiful place, but that's about it.

Great food, outstanding service, but the beer prices are outrageous. Who in their right mind would pay
$ 4.50 for a bottle of beer to go with you pizza.

I did not stay overnight, but did attend a wedding here and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall aesthetic of the grounds.

Great lunch special on a cold rainy day.

This course is an embarrassment! Played a 3 day outing there. Sand traps have no sand in them. Fairways were awful. In 3 days the pins were never moved so that area of the green got very chewed up and the cup edges were badly beat up. All they care about is getting as many players on the course as they can. They should be ashamed of them self s.

I played 18 holes at Tom's Run golf course. It was in excellent shape and was a great value. I will definitely be back again.

Every green was burned out. Tee boxes are horrible. No one mentioned these problem when I call & so I booked a foursome. My guest said was the worst greens they had ever seen. Yet they still charged a premium $$$.

I attended for a Mother's day brunch. The food and buffet was very good food. The venue is very nice and quite large. The venue utilizes an elevator to get from the lobby to the dining room so it is handicap accessible. The golf course also provides a great accent to the beautiful hills that are behind it. Overall, the experience was great. The only downside was that some of the chairs were beginning to fall apart.

Golf course is fantastic and reasonably priced. Hotel is nice and great pool.

They did a wonderful job with the wedding reception we attended.

Attended the wine and beer tasting. The event was fun with great entertainment and food but could have used a better beer selection. Would definitely attend it again.

Had drinks and dinner. Food was good, but drinks were a little expensive and this was during happy hour.

I was there for a wedding. The ballroom was beautiful. Also, the food served was fantastic, and the service was great. Best bartending staff ever!

My wife and I played Tom's Run golf course and then had a good dinner in the spike bar.

I was at Chestnut Ridge Resort and conference center for a banquet. The food, service, and amenities were excellent and the view is second to none. Highly recommended

I went to Chestnut Ridge for a wedding. The hall was beautiful and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Hotel rooms were spacious and clean.

Unbelievable backdrop placed in the heart of the country... well maintained greens!

Beautiful facility to have in the area, right by the highway, just a couple miles out of downtown, & fantastic room option for events/parties. I use them for professional events/conferences/banquets frequently and will continue with them in the future. The local eateries inside are tastey, convenient and quality for comfort food or a nice dinner!

We attended an outdoor wedding ceremony and indoor reception. The backdrop was gorgeous, staff effective, and the food was excellent. Banquet staff was amazing; handling requests appropriately and quickly. Management was on premises for the duration of the event, and were able to resolve every issue. What a wonderful evening!

We visited the hotel and resort in the morning for breakfast prior to our golf outing. The hotel was very clean and sharp looking. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and professional. The facilities we're clean and we'll maintained. The actual golf course was in terrible shape. The course was not a beautiful as advertised and several balls went missing on straight shots into the open. The greens were the biggest disappointment. They were slow, bumpy, and had several dirt patches. Overrall it was a very big disappointment to play.

It was nice. Was there for a wedding and the venue was great. Staff was nice but outfits were a little dated and not uniform.

Course was a disaster with mud. Might be fun in brtter conditions. Food was ok for our outing.

Played Chestnut Ridge today with a group of 24. The course and greens were in great condition. I could not find any burned out spots even aftrer our long dry spell. Layout is interesting and forgiving but the pins can be tough

Service was not friendly, food was edible but not slightly overcooked. Food was different from previous experience.

Everything was very nice for my sister's wedding. Bar downstairs afterwards was cheap and fun.

We had dinner. Food was average, not great, but not bad. Service was adequate. Server was polite and attentive.

This is a great golf facility and conference center located just off US Route 22 in Blairsville PA featuring a Hampton Inn and two 18 hole quality golf courses.

I have eaten here many times, Friday specials, Sunday BRUNCH( This was 1 I would do again every Sunday) and let's not forget the 37 Grill that's a bar. Pool table, darts and golf.
If U never been here I suggest taking ur wife or ur husband for a dinner in the Crystal Terrence. Windows face the beautiful and 1 of a kind Chestnut Ridge Golf course. U can also pick to eat outside on the huge deck. Ppl this place has the best Chef around.

Went for a charity golf tournament and the staff was great, and handled everything! Great!

Outstanding facility. Beautiful views of the area. Awesome architecture on the inside. Certainly should be considered for weddings, meetings, etc. Staff was very curtious.

We recently brought a couple dozen golfers to Chestnut Ridge / Tom's Run for a Stay and Play. This had gone well for us in three prior years, but that was not the case this year.

The first fundamental problem is the condition of the courses, especially Tom's Run. Some disease has hit them, and the fairways & greens are a disaster. If you like to play & putt off of dirt, this is the place for you.

The second fundamental problem is the train wreck that they call their food & beverage team. They are understaffed. If a team member gets overwhelmed (possibly due to understaffing), other team members do not rally to assist, and customers suffer (eg, waiting an hour for drinks). And when the management team sees the problem, they walk away rather than roll up their sleeves.

Unless you have very low expectations and/or are prepared to listen to complaints from just about everyone in your group, I would not recommend organizing an event at Chestnut Ridge.

Great place to play. Exceptional service and Tony the Pro helped us run an organized outing. Would highly recommend.

The facility was nice and clean, but seemed a little dated. The food and staff were excellent.
