Good experience here, fantastic location, quick check in, nice receptionist who was very helpful. Didn't try with the breakfast as my friend was vegan and they didn't seem too sure about whether there would be something she could eat. Clean. Plesant. Would recommend for an overnight.

Didn t even stay there, I cancelled and was charged the wrong price twice! Didn t apologise or care that it made me overdrawn. Now they are making the refund process very difficult and will only deal with it over email. Wouldn t stay there if you paid me!

The pictures look better than the hotel really is. The staff is very sympathic, and I see a big advantage in the floors without a carpet. Nevertheless the bed sheets didn't seem to be completely clean. Some dust on the phone and other places. Besides that it might still be a good place to overnight in London in a very central and not so expensive place.

Stay was good and the staff were nice. The room is small, but it works as a home base. It fit a bed, a night stand, and a very small table and chair. Our room had a single pane window which allowed the cold to come in, it was okay though. The more nagative effect was the ability to hear everything outside, we were tired enough from adventuring that this didn't really pose a problem for us. Room was always clean when we returned.

The staff where generally nice and one was particularly helpful. Room was tiny, but not uncomfortable. The biggest complaint is wifi. That was incredibly frustrating to deal with especially if you have work and emails to send to those you are working for and with. Therefore, if you are also doing some work while on vacation do not use this hotel. Wifi was hardly working in my room when it is needed very frustrating. Otherwise use it.

The internet does not work on the 2nd floor - back or front connection. The street facing room is too bright in the morning. The gap between curtains and wall makes it bright at dawn. The breakfast is ridiculous. All they could offer was cereal, fruit and yogurt. Not even the basic of eggs.

The staff is friendly though.

If only the room wasn't prepaid!!! Worst hotel I've ever stayed at - which is a lot! 4th floor, no elevator! Loose electrical outlets. Moist several places in the room - ceiling, walls and floors. The windows can not be closed completely and therefore pretty cold and noisy!

Good standard for the price. The single room was a decent size by London standards. Included breakfast was also fine. Only thing that I found a bit tacky is the charge for luggage storage on check out day. I understand space is at a premium in London, but I'm of the opinion this should always be a default complimentary service, and is especially important for business travelers.

I first got a room on the ground floor (g3). There was NO internet connection.
Everytime I complained about it the person said to me that they would find a solution. Nothing happened for 3 days. On the 3 day I got a hold of someone who was actually very helpful and switched my room to a room on the fifth floor with with excellent WiFi on the fourth day.

1 transportation is very convenient.
2 breakfast is very simple, only bread, fruit, milk tea, coffee.
3 rooms are small and can't hold two boxes.

5 The underground is close to the pedestrian road and the road. The sound on the road is very clear. If you open the window, passersby can climb into the room.

I love this place. I work in London but live in Nottingham so I stay here a couple of nights a week. The staff are amazing, they can t do enough for you and for such a central location the rates are fair. I won t stay anywhere else!

tiny room

tiny room
-barely any room for luggage, but by moving the nightstand and dresser, it didn't become problem
floor is not carpeted
-it looked like the floor had not yet been finished
-"carpet" became detached off the floor exposing underlying material
toilet seat is too small for toilet bowl
For a moment, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, hoping these were some European-Style toilet seats where the seats are smaller than the bowl, but this cheap hotel obviously used the toilet seat of a small toilet on a larger toilet bowl
"Continental Breakfast" is lackluster
-a few slices of toast, butter and jam, fruit, milk, cereal and juices is not what I was expecting considering the price of the room
lift is under construction
-very inefficient lift, which can cause difficulties for physically disabled people to maneuver around
-takes forever to reach you and sometimes goes opposite way you wanted it to go.
no AC
TV and subsequent channels are nothing special
-Personally wouldn't have minded if the room had a smart TV because you can watch Netflix or Youtube instead of cable channels.
Bed is very comfortable and didn't make falling asleep hard.
-slept like a baby on these beds

absolute disgrace - no tea and coffee making facilities as advertised on their website, tap, toilet roll holder, bath panel broken in bathroom, rusty patch in bath, mirror tarnishes, hole in carpet, badly scuffed skirting boards and furniture. Then to top it all we were woken at 6am by workmen in the hotel !
My advice ? - pay a bit more and go somewhere else !

It is a hotel near the British Museum. As there is elevator, it is easy to carry luggage.
As for the room, there is room for the space to open a suitcase to the last minute. There is an electric kettle and tea set but no fridge.
The room is cleaned every day clean and clean. Baths and toilets are shower only and there are no shower curtains or partitions, so the hot water splashes on the wash side and the floor gets wet, but if you wipe it with a towel for foot cleaning, the level will be manageable.
Amenity is shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body milk, soap. There is also a dryer. The bathroom and toilet are clean and comfortable to use.

I stayed in a single suite and got a great deal staying here, which got them an extra star. The room I got was one that hadn't been renovated yet (the hotel and the street out front were under renos at the time of my stay) , but they had started, so there were holes in the ceiling of the bathroom, no sink grate, just an open drain for things to fall down, and no door handle for the do not disturb sign to hang on. Given the central location though, I feel like these were the concessions made for such a good price.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The baggage check prior to check in was literally just leaving bags in the lobby.

Overall, not the best place I've stayed world wide, but for how close shopping, dining, and transit are in London, I couldn't really ask for a better price.

Very affordable hotel set in the heart of London our room was lovely with everything you need for a short stay the only problem we had was at breakfast they have like 5-6 tables for the whole hotel which I believe can hold up to 50 people. I felt so sorry for the waitress but she was coping very well!

Very nice hotel, it is still in parts, so I saw that there are people who have a manual key to enter the room, and others like me, with a card. Very well located, one block from Oxford street and the subway. The only bad thing is the breakfast, it would be good if it is more complete and there are only about 8 tables, for a hotel of many people. The rest, impeccable.

Some of the reviews are really harsh, I would say, so I'm giving my objective view. I stayed for one night for work and I was very satisfied. This place is perfect for short stays. I needed a place where there was no noise as I had a very important meeting the next day. When checking in, I asked the receptionist if he could kindly give me the quietest room. He did so. So excellent customer service and front desk staff.

The room is small but impecable. Bed is very clean, and I have high standards. Old reviews mention that the rooms were dated but that was NOT the case. There's lift to access each floor. I also had the chance to peek at a double room in the basement, and it was the same as mine. Modern, comfortable and clean. I could see in the morning that they had a cleaning supervisor checking as well as normal maids, so the room is clearly up to standards. The shower was completely new, with both a top head and a retractable head for convenience with a powerful jet of water, which is much appreciated.

Breakfast is included if you book through the official website, although eggs are an extra cost, which is fine. The only downside is that the fresh fruit is not freshly cut but rather is a whole piece so you'll have to peel it yourself.

They've clearly made an effort to improve things here, and take previous feedback seriously so I can confidently give them 5 stars.

Feedback: Room doors make too much noise when closing and opening, so this may disturb guests at night, specially those who stay for work. Consider installing a system which reduces bangs on the door level. No noise from the street can be heard, so that's good. Keep prices the way they are.

the rooms are cozy and well kept and the staff are friendly, helpful and understanding for visitors like myself. free wifi and breakfast help make this place worth the money. only warning is don't take a room on the below-ground floor as they are very claustrophobic and will heat up quickly.

I booked a double but the confirmation did not mention double anywhere. When I called the hotel I was asked to email them because they were busy dealing with customers and that I would be answered very soon. The response never came through and I could not get through to anyone on the phone despite a fair few attempts. When I arrived later that night I was told room was a twin and that the toilet was broken, and that the refund could not be authorised until the next morning because the manager had to authorise it. I had to book another hotel down the road which fortunately had a room available.

RUN!!! I did a lot of trips and see a lot of hotels. And I can be sure it's the worst.
We were in a room under the ground (floor - 1). How can it be possible??

At 6am you can start to hear noise. Why? Because near the room it's the place for cleaning women who but all there stuff in the corridor. You want to leave the room you can't, you don't have enough place.

Breakfast really small almost nothing to eat. Only ham, cheese and classic ( tea, coffee, toast). The place is small and full really fast and we have to wait. It's open at 8am really late. Come on be smart open it before 8am.

If you hesitate with another hotel, don't hesitate chose the other hotel.
