Great place for a family. Summer camp is all outside, on the lake, has a rockwall, horse barn, trails, all kinds of sports. Great for fall and spring soccer, too. The campus is beautiful and the staff are very friendly.

The location is great, however this review pertains to their youth soccer program. My 8 year old son just finished his 2nd soccer season with them. The first was great. The coach was good with the kids, and everything seemed to run as smoothly as it could. Unfortunately, this second season has left me greatly disappointed. I wasn't as happy with it in general as I was last year, but that is fine. I was still planning on signing him up again next season. Recent events have made me change my mind though.

At the end of October, my son took a direct hit from a soccerball to the face during practice. After walking it off, he seemed okay and continued on with the practice. The next day, we get a call from the school nurse. She tells us that he has a headache and he is disoriented. We pick him up from school and take him to the doctor, where we discover that he has a concussion. The doctor says that he needs to refrain from soccer until the follow up visit the next week. I don't hold COY responsible for any of this. Things like this happen in sports all the time. We knew that when we signed our son up.

We emailed the coach to let him know about our son received a concussion at practice and of the doctors orders. We told him that we would not be at practice that Friday or the following Monday, nor the game that Saturday. We did not receive a response. This bothered me, but I let it slide. I still received emails from the coach addressed to the team regarding practices and games, but nothing about my son.

We took our son to the follow up visit a week later, and the doctor said that he was better, but still recovering and that he would have to sit out the rest of the season. Again, I emailed the coach to update him on the situation. This time I asked him to let us know how he would like us to finish out the season. Again, I did not receive a response.

The last game of the season was last weekend. We still haven't heard from any of the coaches. There were three of them, and none of them could be bothered to make a phone call or send an email. Earlier this week, we sent an email to the director of the youth soccer program. We still have not received a response. COY is not responsible for my son getting injured, but I am holding them fully responsible for the lack of communication of their staff.

I suppose that the COY youth soccer program is decent enough, just don't expect them to care if your child gets injured on their property while participating in their program. If that matters to you, you might want to find something else for your child to do.

Whenever i went here, it was fine, i made friends and other stuff but my main problems are, #1 they don't let you bring your phone, and if you did then they would take it away. #2 i got athletes foot from this place, their bathrooms at their "cleaned pool" is not clean, it in fact would usually have pee and unknown substances on the floor, and the pool? don;t even get me started. just don't take your kid here during the summer, only the school breaks and what not but i don't have as much a problem with number 1 than i do with number 2.

For parents or kids reading this looking to send heir kids to the COF YMCA for summer camps, it is outstanding. I attended this camp from age 13-16. Sometimes they give an exception if your 16 but try not to count on it. The programs for the summer camp were so much fun to me! The staff was always in a great mood and never slacked off. They paid attention to kids health like if someone was dehydrated they would help out and move them to a cooler area. During thunder storms everyone gathers under the large pavilion which gets very crowded for the hundreds of kids that go to the summer camp.

If you did not bring lunch, you could get in line and they provide a healthy and energetic lunch for the kids. Though standing in the sun for a long while waiting to get lunch was tiring because of the heat and no shade. The whole property is really safe and counselors make sure kids don't run off out of sight. I attended fishing, mountain biking, water sports, and team building during different weeks. All four are just outstanding and so much fun! I greatly recommend these four the most because its very active and entertaining. Kids of all ages I have seen here are in great hands and no counselor looks stressed when handling the kids which shows this camp is very well organized. Bathrooms are usually clean and so are the changing rooms for the pool.

The bottom line is this YMCA camp is just amazing for summer. Out on the lake, swimming, and other activities there's almost no words to say but I Love it here! The lunch line needs a little work so that kids aren't standing in the sun for so long in one spot just waiting for lunch and thunder storm regulations should be more organized and not as clustered as it is, cramming almost everyone under the only large pavilion. Other than that, myself attending this camp recently, and me speaking to you parents and kids interested in the summer program, it's definitely a top place to consider on your list of camps to send your child!

Really nice. We can enjoy rock climbing up a wall and spring Sports. You can also enjoy outdoor sports like baseball and basketball. And of course the lake is right there near you. I saw it for the first time today and the entire area is absolutely wonderful

Horrible experience here, we went here on a school field trip, and the pipes in our cabin burst, soaking our cabin. The food was terrible and slimy, and the climbing wall was unstable and swaying. The pool had algae in it, I would recommend that you stay far away!

Great coaches. When it came to the tournament games, they were VERY unorganized. We were scheduled to play at one field, had to switch fields and didn't have a referee. We finally got to play 2 hours later after we had been rained on and walked all over. Not fun!
