I found this site by accident, fell in love at first sight and am still in love one month later. I really enjoy the scientific approach ( measures by weight ) and very hip attitude of making cooking fun ( I consider myself a pro/home chef/baker and am learning so much even after knowing my way around a kitchen for 30+ years) Join...you will NOT regret this one second.

Stumbled across Chefstep lab on Pike market. It closed but still can see the inside through glass window. Love their YouTube channel that taught me so much about cooking. They're actually introduced me into sous video techniques.

Ordered a Joule from ChefSteps. Packaging was well protected, delivered within one week, and configuration was as simple as you can get. Joule has performed like a champ.

Chef Steps have change our lives with showing us the benefits of sous vide and modern cuisine. Eating healthy is so much easier when your food is cooked perfectly each time, and finding new textures and flavors for different vegetables just takes the "boring" out of health food. Got to stop in for a second and meet one of staff members there while on vacation. She was really sweet and told us to email her next time we're in town to schedule a tour of the space!

I can only cook... ( _ ) ( _ )> - ( _ ) sous-vide. Life hasn't been the same since I found these wackaloons 3 1/2 years ago.

Your kitchen is providing an excellent service to those that are striving to enhance their culinary education. I feel it's very beneficial especially to the young chef ever persistent in finding his or her place in the kitchen. Whether garnishes for Garde Manger or perhaps a Brown Butter Chantilly, these are definitely foundations to utilize to further one's life. Great job gentlemen, keep up the good work and never stop experimenting! Bonne chance!

Disappointing that you cant go in and get yours, etc. But super cool to see if you own the Joule or watch their YouTube videos. Would recommend if you're in Pikes place. (Kind of difficult to find if you dont know your way around, though)

This site is the real deal! From compressed pineapples to the joys of sous vide cooking. I am pleasantly surprised and learn daily from these culinary geniuses. Only Alton Brown has taught me more. Which I'm sure we'll be surpassed.

Love the product, can t get help with replacement part. I have submitted 2 requests, no response. My joule works great and I use it several times a week. The propeller cracked. Way past warranty period, but all I get are canned responses about warranty replacements. It s a plastic propeller. I can t be the only one to have it fail after several years. Surely there must be an easier way to order a replacement part. Make this easy and I ll be happy to edit my rating to five stars UPDATE-My bad. Somehow I missed their timely response to my initial request. FIVE STARS
