This is the best BBQ place in you can get to without hopping on a flight to Memphis. But seriously I lived in Memphis for 7 years and this is the best place I've found

It's not bad, but it's not Texas either. And somebody please educate that itty bitty waitress gal that brisket ain't spicy.

Turkey avacado sandwich was filling. Didn't like mustard potatoe salad... Use sweet relish . Service was good.

Party of 5... 3 people were disappointed and had to pick something else because the meal the wanted was not available. Who runs out of chicken??? Otherwise the food we did have was good!

Had a DELICIOUS prime rib sandwich here with a friend who got the half chicken. Both the chicken and the beef were cooked perfectly, falling off the bone, tender and juicy. their sides of sweet potato fries and baked beans were great too. This is definitely one of the best southern barbeque restaurants I've been to in south florida. Very impressed with the food here. Service was good enough, and the atmosphere was good, too, sort of reminiscent of a LongHorn or Outback. Their Bar design was pretty impressive! Would definitely go back!

Our first time there and it was a good experience. The John Wayne burger was good and the pork bbq was really good. I didn't like the French fries. They were really thick. I only like shoestring fries. Otherwise we will be back.

Good food & service. 4 Stars because they play music TOO LOUD and only country.

Our server had a large party #12 folks that were seated when we came in ...she should have given us ( a 2 top ) to the next server up for a table... we got out drinks served by her and that was it. Our food; served by a runner (literally served and ran)... no ketchup for fish, with fries...shrimp and fries ...we had to get up and find someone to ask for our garlic toast... I was served hush puppies... We both ordered garlic toast and only ever got 1 order... love this place but very disappointed this evening! Oh! Please figure out that salt shakers are clogged and not working...so aggravating!

I love this place, drive 2+ hours to go here. Pulled pork is amazing, corn fritters are wow. Best hush puppies I have ever had. There must be something in the BBQ sauce bc I think i am addicted. You can order bulk!

Decent meal served pretty after ordering. A little skimpy on the brisket, but nice flavors.

Eric and Rachel were an amazing team and the food is absolutely phenomenal! I don't typically like BBQ, but they cook their food correctly and without sauces, so everything is tender and you can add sauce to your preference. We tried the other location off of Wickham which was not even remotely as good and service is nowhere as good either. So glad we gave this location a chance, we will be back!

Was a nice experience but bill a bit high for the portion size $77 for 4 people (before tip) and the brisket is quite fatty. However, I would visit again.

Great food. Service was exceptional. New waitress but she did an outstanding job. The place was clean as well as thr restrooms. Ample parking. A little busy but no wait and thr food came out quick. Kudu's to the kitchen staff as well. Will go back again. Reasonably priced. Beer wine and liquor available as well as soft drinks and tea. Lots of tv's to watch.

Always good food. Except for the brisket. Don't get the brisket.

Brisket is superb as is catfish, okra, bar, multiple TVs, seating, friendly, draft and bottled beers, wine, not sure bout spirits.

The new Charlie and Jake's is really nice lots of yummy food but I have to admit we missed the old Charlie's and Jake's across the street

Service was very slow, but the restaurant wasn't busy. Food took over 45 minutes to be served. The food was dried out and not hot, like it had been prepared and sitting for the server to bring it to us. 5 people in our party, all felt the same way. This is not our normal experience at Charlie and Jakes. Bad night I guess.

When we first started to visit Charlie and Jakes it was awesome. But the food slowly began to go downhill. Last Friday we visited the meat was very over done and had a weird taste to it. After getting home our home family came down with bad stomach aches. The hostess that brought us to our table was stand offish and not welcoming at all. The manager is too busy watching his waitresses to do his job. I'm sad to say we will not be eating here again. The food is too unpredictable in taste it isn't worth taking the risk to eat there anymore. We ended up having to give the food to the dog after taking leftovers. She enjoyed it more than we did.

Clean, new and tastefully styled. Food was also very good.

Terrible parking situation. They only have parking for about 20% of the restaurant capacity. The last 3 times I went, I circled the parking lot about 4 times then left. I just won't go back anymore. The surrounding area has an apartment complex with lots of tow away zone signs. I don't want to risk getting my car towed.

Every Thanksgiving I go here and get pulled Turkey dinner and this is so good the smoke flavor hits you in every bite and you drop to your knees begging for more, the pulled pork sandwich leaves wanting more and more and more... for bbq flavor. A must have...

Fair. Pork was dry on sandwhich. Ample amount. Shorted me my Cole slaw on take out order.

Had the small pulled pork platter. It was a big meal for me. Had to ask for a "go box". The meal was really tasy and the service was great. Even on a friday night, the wait for a table was less than 10 minutes.

Blown away. Stew was nice and spicy. Chicken was tender, and pork was delicious.
