11/23/18-Had them cater our Thanksgiving this year and got to say it was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection with the exception of the pumpkin pie. Smoked turkey was great! Can't wait to see if they are going to be offering any sort of service for Christmas.
Food was good when we reheated it at home. Was very apparent our pickup order was forgot about since we were waiting about 20 minutes until a server asked what we were waiting for and went to check on it. 10 seconds later the server came out with our food that was not very warm. By the time we got home (5 minutes away) it was cold. Everything was delicious, pick chips were a soggy mess.
Charlie & Jake's makes awesome Alabama style BBQ and is an awesome alternative to the major barbecue chains. My absolute favorite is the Burnt End Mac n Cheese, but you can't go wrong with standards like the pulled pork, smoked turkey, and a wide variety of sides. They have indoor/outdoor seating options, but parking is limited and a little tight to navigate.

I visit this place every year when we come to Florida!!! Fantastic service and delicious food!! We will definitely be back!! Brisket tacos on Taco Tuesdays are a MUST!! Otherwise I love their BBQ beans, good Mac and cheese, love the brisket and pulled pork BBQ!! Great sauce options!

We usually go to Charlie & Jakes on the corner of Wickham and Jordan Blass which we love... So we decided to try the Indian Harbor Bch (IHB) location off of Eau Gallie Blvd. The IHB location was HORRIBLE!!! The menu was different and prices were definitely higher.
I ordered a "nacho" plate with shredded bbq pork and without jalapenos. My Dad ordered a bbq's sandwich. The bbq wasn't much better than if I went to the grocery store and bought one of those shredded pork bowls and buns. My nachos were so hot (spicy) I could not eat them... I did use some bbq sauce so i thought i used the wrong one.. nope to hot! I even told the waitress the nachos were to hot. So I didn't eat! I did take it home because my sister likes hot food. When she took a couple of bites she asked me why did I order it with the jalapenos?...it was loaded with huge slices of jalapenos (which I did not see cause we were seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant! I definitely would have sent them back had I seen them....
Best barbeque around. One of the wife and I's favs. Apmesphere, food, service, for the price, can't beat it.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and decided to stop in for lunch. I am so glad we did. Nice, friendly staff. Delicious, flavorful, tender smoked pork. So good you didn t even need sauce. Good sides, delicious hush puppies.
The food is okay, but i think they need to work on their cleanliness. I can taste the grill has not been cleaned.
Bar none, some of the best bbq I've ever had! Besides the food having fantastic flavor, the service is excellent. You also get large portions for a very fair price. I wouldn't hesitate a moment in reccommending them. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. It will definitely be worthwhile.

I have never been to this restaurant before but I went yesterday for the first time with 6 other people and let me tell you, you couldnt pay me to go back. Waited almost a hr for our appetizers and then waited another hr for our food. After waiting for so long you would think the food would be perfect... nope not at all. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and so did 2 other people at the table while a couple of my other friends had the brisket. You didnt even have to bite into it to tell that the meat that was on these 5 sandwiches were dry. When the server asked i politely told her and she said she would talk to the manager. Well the manager never came to our table. All we were told is that we can get 50% off. I have never heard of a restaurant that if you have a problem or complain about something the manager doesnt talk to you. So for the owner of this establishment i hope you talk to your manager that was on duty yesterday between 5-8pm because that is very unprofessional. We may have just picked a bad day to go but it was definitely the worst experience at any restaurant i have ever experienced.

I wouldn't even give it one star. I was with family and friends which made it the best part of my evening and our server, Donna was delightful. I ordered prime rib (rare), it was well done. Our server Donna, noticed right away and took my order back, came back with a cut that was cooked medium rare but more than half was all fat. Ordered a class of Rodney Strong Chardonnay, but it was not Rodney Strong. I didn't say anything about that. The floors and carpet were filthy. First and last time I will ever eat there... Just to let you know...I insisted on paying for my meal and left a 50% tip. Like I said, best part was my family and friends and our server Donna. Just to let everyone know, I am a new local to Melbourne, not a tourist.

The best BBQ I have found in Florida. And the only hush puppies also. Plenty of tv's if that's what you are looking for and a great atmosphere. It does take a while to eat hear so don't go if you're in a hurry.

Service is great. BBQ needs to speak for itself and not depend on the sauce for enhancement. Kind of a bland taste.
Way to loud to sit and enjoy a meal. Want to do a sports thing put it on TVs outside so they can be as loud as they want and not disrupt family's having meals.

Last weekend, Charlie and Jakes made the food for my daughter's large wedding. I am so grateful for the thoughtful care Debbie gave me. Just when we were about to take our business elsewhere, she thoughtfully called me back to work out some details. As a result, I placed my order with her. The delicious food, the thoughtful care, and the attention to detail made us extremely happy with our decision to go with Charlie & Jakes!!!

Very good food but very slow/bad service. We were seated outside and then promptly forgotten about for about 10-15 minutes. Had to go inside to ask about a server and were comped drinks (which was very nice, but they were not what the drinks we asked for?) and then someone eventually came out. Still. Very good food.
Love the food here. If they could figure out how to streamline the service it would be an awesome establishment. It seems like there are never enough servers on the floor which causes the wait times to be ridiculous. Definitely don't come here in a hurry but, you for sure won't leave hungry.
KISS, right? They do that. I've eaten here for about 2 years now (trying others at the same time!) and am continuously impressed at the consistently great food, price and service. LOVE the fried pickles, (and fried chicken on Thursdays!), pork and ribs the most!

Omg!! This place is so good! The food was awesome and service great!! We had the brisket burnt ends and they just melted in your mouth, had the squillymoe burger and onion rings and all i can say is just awesome!!!

BEST BBQ IN MELBOURNE!! They always say eat where the locals eat and this is the place. Their bbq is awesome. I usually have the chicken but today I tried the burnt ends with mac and cheese. It was AMAZING! My friends and I had a great variety of food today from a veggie plate, and a giant grilled chicken salad. One friend had their great lunch special. Service great and atmosphere very relaxing. An excellent choice always!
We had an organized, planned ahead event, was way to difficult tracking down a server for a drink.
