Military beware and the school has great marketing and they are great at shaking your hand telling you about their pedagogy but this school is very pretentious. They play favorites, there are a lot of cliques among parents and the staff. Many of the staff members have students that go there and get away with murder in the 1st degree but will hang your child out on the laundry line. The ideas of compassion and understanding are great but the lackluster of delivering what they preach are so far behind.

We attend Annie Wright and many families are moving there. They have no affiliation to CWA other than Charles was Annie's father. Less of a gang mentality and the teachers really care about the individual student versus who the students parents are and how much money is being donated in the name of the family. Fathers job=how nice you are treated in school and how much murder you get away with.

One of my nephews goes to school at Charles Wright Academy. As a former educator, I envy the teachers that get to work in such an amazing facility. I was impressed watching my nephews class on one of the family days. I understand it s expensive, but after looking into the curriculum and all that the school offers, I m reminded of the old adage, You get what you pay for.

My kids went to CWA from per-k thru 5th grade, and it is our opinion that the teachers are not experienced enough to adequately educate at the 5th grade level. Our child complained that his education was confusing and disappointing. CWA requires parents to let them know before July 1 if they are going to enroll for the following school year. I let them know I was not going to re-enroll for the coming school year and all of a sudden they are now trying to sue me for damages, claiming they didn't receive my notice. What damages, when the next school year hasn't even begun?! How aggressive is that?! They must really need the money. Way to thank good paying parents who had their kids enrolled in the school for years, pre-dating this situation. What ever happened to the notion that the customer is always right? Do we have to send things certified, return receipt requested, to be safe when communicating with this school? I'm disgusted with the way the school has dealt with this situation--I would not refer my friends' children to it in the future. The school is overrated and pretentious, aggressive and unfriendly.

It's the way this school is run that makes it terrible. Never choose a school where the board of trustees are parents. In true human nature their kids will always be the stars of the show. The staff will fall in line. The facilities are beautiful from the outside but the heart of this place is empty, shallow, and lacking tradition.

My family has so much to be grateful for, and our CWA community is definitely on that list. Initially, I was apprehensive about enrolling my son in a private school because I did not know what to expect (I personally had never attended private schools). Nevertheless, I had done all of my research, visited many schools (public and private), and decided that CWA offered the experiences that I wanted for my child in a culture with values that aligned with our own a conceptualized understanding of diversity and its importance, project-based learning through active exploration, and the importance of strengthening both cognitive and non-cognitive skills. My son has attended CWA since 2018, and we have had an incredible experience.

Mu son started CWA in the 5th grade and graduated from CWA. He went on to a prestigious College in Southern California and has worked in High Tech start up companies in San Francisco for many years. He is a well rounded, committed citizen now to enviornmental, social, and the outdoors. This experience at CWA was the formation of his curiosity and the excellence he obtained serves him well. I was chided once for sending my son to CWA by a friend because of the cost. I told him: "my son only gets educated once"; " What should I do buy a boat instead" Great School, great kids, great staff.

Recent Graduate from this school, was there since kindergarten and I believe that I wouldn't have had a better education anywhere else besides here. Teachers REALLY care for your success and want to help you for future academics

This school has been a God send for our children. Our two oldest children began their education at CWA in kindergarten and our youngest in Junior K. We have been a part of the CWA community for 11 years. Each of our three children are different in how they learn, in their interests and of course in personality. Despite this, CWA has catered to each ones individuality. The teachers are engaged in the children, the administration is always looking to keep ahead of the game in academic and social development of CWA students, and the community as a whole is committed to providing the best education possible. We love this school and are so fortunate and proud to be a part of this "family."
