One of the best three hotels in the city of Calabar.

I give them 5 . I had a sweet honeymoon with my hubby.

It's a beautiful place

The rooms are big and neat

Situated in the heart of the city, it boasts of many amenities that makes you feel at home. Good rooms, nice bar, gym etc

I was at the gym and I think I can say it's good enough

Nice place to stay in a hurry. Not so cozy though. Service could be better.

Nice hotel with clean facilities. Strategically located and easily accessible. The staff are friendly and environment is serene and calm. Nice venue for a weekend getaway.

Channel View Hotel is not just only standard but qualified staffs and the management are generous.. God them and their business..

I mostly use the gym here. Last time I was in the rooms should be about three years ago but I wasn t impressed with the maintenance culture which is a general problem with all Nigerian hotels. The tap in the females wash room of the pool is falling off and besides those few problems, the facility has managed to stay relevant. It is a fairly good hotel to stay in calabar. It s centrally located in a safe area and you can easily get transportation around from here. Otherwise the management needs to look into the little details.
Also, the use of laptops around the gym waiting area or pool waiting area is banned /not allowed. There s an atm on site and a bakery shop with very interesting looking pastries.
Update - extensive reconstruction work and maintainance is ongoing at this hotel and facilities are being upgraded. Excellent Excellent

The best things about this place are the food, the friendliness of the staff and the sense of security.
The elevator worked for half a day of the 3 that I stayed there ( good news if you are trying to increase your step count- I did 4 flights of stairs many times a day). The laundry could be better- "clean" towels and sheets had stains on them despite a fresh smell, the air conditioner was unreliable despite a maintenance visit. Overall, good intentions by management but no ? will ( or maybe funds) to make it better?

The rooms are clean are well built. Room service also attend to you when needed.
I'll recommend it if you're on the area

A good place for lodging, seminars, reception and small meetings.

The location was very accessible and the hotel ambiance elegant and homely. It was complimented by Club Rain where I unwound to the music and wine before retiring into the equally elegant and luxurious room.

Room is good. Service is average. Location is top notch.

Need to change their furniture... Big hotel with old management

The hotel has lost its glory. The furniture in the rooms are falling apart. Room service takes forever if you are lucky because sometimes they don't come at all. The Airconditioners don't work, the safes in the room don't work. The elevator doest work, the refrigerators don't work. The only good things about the hotel is the Location, nightlife, pleasant staff & constant electricity.

Nice hotel, good for date night , good service and easy to locate , functional amenities and good view , the lift isn't so functional

Anytime I visit Calabar, I stay here. Nice place to stay. Quite and has a boutique, karaoke bar, etc.

Located at a very accessible road in Calabar.MCC road which is one of the major roads getting into the city.It also has a poolside area and a night club.

It's been a wonderful trip at channel view hotel,the staff are welcoming and smart and gentle

The rooms are specious and clean. The employees here are sometimes clueless especially the kitchen staff. They will frustrate you. The food here is not so good, the buffet menu was similar and uninspiring for 5 days straight. The upside of the hotel is the functional gym and swimming pool.
There is a club at the premises of the hotel for you to unwind.
Channel View is just expensive for the service it renders.

The hotel is okay. Some of the rooms require better illumination.

It's a hospitable place with a nice pool,gym and an amazing lounge. I had all I need in one spot but their meals are really expensive

Its OK, the light is constant. The staff are polite. However the food is poor. Overall it was ok

Hotel's average, power isn't guaranteed as they usually turn off the generator in the afternoons. Please avoid the lift, it's epileptic at best. Hotel staff are polite and helpful

This place doesn't deserve a star. The furniture and fittings are in bad shape, the elevator, especially, doesn't work and the staffing could do with an upgrade.

A cool old hotel buh has a Mayfair lounge that makes sense

They have really cool facilities. The rooms are cozy and the staff are friendly

I did not stay there for long cuz I went there for a meeting but it was really bad. The tables in the hall were dirty... Very dirty

Nice ambiance. My immediate misgiving is that the phone/intercom is not by The bedside. One will have to get up from the Bed each time u wish to use the phone... This is not very convenient; particularly if you are asleep and The phone rings.. U will have to stand up and walk to the phone. Those with short sleep will lose their sleep by The time they return to bed

Poor service, hall not well managed and food service not according to specifications

Basic rooms shouldn't be that expensive, let alone have nothing in them. I loved the pastries shop though

The one place in Calabar that had stood there test of time. Good place.

It wasn't cool wen it comes to their club but I enjoyed their swimming pool
