Very uncomfortable moment to witness the guest next to us not get what he asked for, when he had to re ask for the white bread, they gave him only one small roll. ( I'm seriously hoping it had nothing to do with ethnicity so I assumed positive intent) My steak wasn't cooked to order (medium well) and the floor supervisor had to fix it. The cobbler was so tart that we and the people around us were leaving it barely touched while only eating the crumble and ice cream that came with it. (You'd think they'd notice the desserts were not being consumed). Got coffee and creamer with no spoon to stir, when I asked for the spoon I was offered a soup spoon and took it so I could hurry and leave. To top it off, our waitress took our cash payment and didn't bring us the change... Assuming the rest was for her to take. I'm sorry, but under no circumstances did she even deserve a 15% gratuity... Even then, she took more than 15%. Very dissappointed with our first experience after we were assured by friends that this would be way better than our normal fine dining restaurant of choice.

I lived in San Francisco for three years and in general, Boise restaurants don t compare, except for Chandler s. As you would expect at this price point, the food is amazing. We have had oysters, steak, duck, quail, lobster, etc. and everything is phenomenal. On top of the food, the biggest and most noticeable differentiator is the service. During a meal expect 3 to 4 waiters/waitresses helping you at all times. This type of service is unrivaled anywhere in Boise and truly competes with Michelin Star restaurants.

Not cheap, this is a restaurant you can't afford to go to every week. But, the service was incredible from the hostess, waiter, busboy, kitchen staff, and even the manager. I had the lobster bisque with surf and turf. The bisque was great, reminded me of what I used to get at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, including a side of cream and a shot of sherry to add to the soup. And, the lobster was incredible... good portion and perfectly cooked.

Chandler's is fine dining with cuisine on par with Le Cirque or John Howie's Steakhouse. It's neither so upscale that you'll feel out of place in casual dress clothes (this is Idaho, after all) but you won't feel overdressed in formal clothing, either.

The service is simply exemplary. The sommelier is always well informed and the staff in the kitchen are always willing to make accommodations for diet (vegetarian and gluten friendly, for those interested).

Try the truffle-oil fries and the Triple-R Ranch filet-- absolutely phenomenal.

If you want to know what an $80 steak tastes like, try their $40 filet mignon. Absolutely out of this world.

Our first time trying Chandlers last night and it was AMAZING. My friend's mother is visiting from Puerto Rico and she invited us. The food was delicious and our server, Jesse was super sweet and made the best recommendations! My steak was perfection and my daughter's scallops were absolutely delicious!

We came here for the first time on a whim for our 10 year anniversary and with no reservations. They were booked for tables, but said we were welcome to order from the full menu at the bar, and I'm so glad we did! The two guys working behind the bar (Ryan and Brian) were very friendly, kind and attentive. Ryan made us some super creative and delicious cocktails! The atmosphere was amazing - I loved the live music! The other guests were even super friendly. The food though... this was literally the best meal I have ever had. We ordered the grass-fed filet and the ahi tuna, both were fabulous! We had already made plans to return and treat some friends before we had finished our meal. Best restaurant in Boise, hands down.

For a place that has been good in the past to treat me and my wife this way was terrible. The reservations somehow got messed up and I was given the worst table in the restaurant. Asking to change didn t help. I heard that they are full and sorry. Save your money and get a better steak in Jakers in Meridian. Better food at half the price.

I love everything about Chandlers. It's one of our favorite spots for an appetizer at the bar and either a glass of wine off their extensive list or one of their handcrafted cocktails. Go-to's include the tower of tuna, beef carpaccio, escargot, truffled pomme frites and the scallops will knock your socks off. The 10-minute martini is a must as well. I'd wager that it is the smoothest martini you'll ever have. I also really love that they have jazz every night... where else in Boise do you get that? It's the perfect combination of ambiance and great food that keeps us coming back time and time again. Thanks to Chandlers and their whole staff for a job well done. We appreciate you!

This cafe is most original. It's succulent flavors and unique blends of ingredients make a wonderful and fulfilling lunch. I was most impressed with the turkey, swiss and kraut. The flavors are a fantastic delight leaving you craving more. Well worth the effort!

What's great here? The music and the service. The food is a bit hit or miss, which can be disappointing as prices are high. Wine list is impressive but hard to actually use. Cocktails are good. List of wines by the glass is only okay.

I like to support live music. I appreciate that they have live bands here.

Chandler's has the best food in town. Come here for a fancy dinner date or to celebrate a promotion. Check out the bar menu for some great selections not offered anywhere else in town. For holidays you will need to reserve a table well in advance.

Had a fabulous experience here for our anniversary. Friendly staff, perfect steaks, but as odd as it may sound, I could not get enough of the baked tomato. Are on the spendy side, but very Impressive overall.

Our 1st time dining at Chandlers restaurant we made reservations 2 months in advance. You would think that we would get a really good table but instead we were seated right next to the piano player. We were unable to hear each other let alone have a conversation. When I asked for another table we were moved to way in the back by the kitchen next to the piles of dirty dishes. The food was nothing to write home about. Our waiter had a great personality in and was the highlight of the evening. Based on this experience we will not be returning to this restaurant and have enjoyed restaurants like Barbecoa and the Brickyard so much more.

This is one of the nicer restaurants in Boise. I take clients here regularly. Sometimes I come several times a week. I've had 1 or 2 bad steaks here. They were over cooked, but for the most part it has been great. My condo is down the street so it's nice that I can grab a bite whenever I am in Boise.

OMG!!!

OMG!!!

Believe the reviews! Our first visit tonight and Chandlers exceeded our expectations!

From the valet parking to the attentive hostess to the outstanding bartender to the servers to the food....there should be six stars.

We went for the seafood and we were not disappointed! She enjoyed the abalone appetizer and the scallop entree

I had escargot appetizer and halibut. Again: two OMG s!!!

Props to our server. I forget his name but a BSU grad in finance will serve him well....hopefully as we ll as he served us tonight.

We will be back. An oasis in Boise.

I've been coming here for several years with my wife with no complaints. Friday night I took some business colleagues (12) and service was good, food was good, then I got my dessert and it had a hair in it. Mistakes happen, but I got our check and they didn't even comp it!! $1000 bill and you can't comp $10-$20, I was irate. Had to complain to manager, then I asked the server why it wasn't comp (b/c he was a nice guy) and he said before he brought the check he asked the chef and manager if he should comp it and they said NO!!! Are you kidding me!! Well, truth be told, my wife and I was going there on a weekly basis and we will not be going there ever again. Hello Barbacoa!!

Perfect place for dinner on a fancy date night. Prices are about as high as you'll find in Boise but the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere live up to the price point. Live music every time I've been there has been excellent.

I went last night and I honestly I was not satisfied with our service and I will admit it is the last time we go to this restaurant. We were treated as if we were invisible by the manager (**Note the manager would ask everyone around how they were except us) and our server (Jason) didn t really want to attend us and would avoid helping us. I will admit the food is Top Quality but the service was the worst this was our second time and it will be our last. And by the way we were the only Mexican in there and were treated as if we were painted on the wall. Racial profiling at it s finest.

This restraunt is very nice, the employees are helpful and presentable. The food was amazing and the wait wasn't unbearable. I recommend this restraunt for a romantic date, or even just for drinks and/or dinner.

I generally love Chandlers and of course I will come back. The food and service is usually amazing. And I wouldn't normally complain about one not so great visit, but feel like its something that could be remedied. We had 3 or 4 wait staff checking on us constantly. They wanted to remove every plate even before we finished eating. They tried to take the bread plate several times with bread still on it. We hadn't moved it off to the side. They wanted to take our drinks before we finished. It was just all very bothersome and hard to have a conversation. At one point, a gal stopped by to scrape our table because there were two crumbs on it. We were joking in the end when we only had two water glasses left how soon they come to pry them out of our hands.... Please let your customers eat their meal in a bit of peace. Don't ask them repeatedly if you can remove unfinished plates or drinks.

Everything was AMAZING.

Everything was AMAZING.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible, the views were great, and service superb.

But, without any alcohol or drinks it cost $220 for 3 people.

That is overly expensive for 2 appetizers, and 3 entrees, no desert, and no drinks.

This establishment offers a high end ambiance that you will enjoy through each bite of your meal. It is complete with a dark lit room, live piano pieces, and an open bar filled with all types of drinks. The food was amazing all around, from the tender marbled filets, to the creamy loaded Idaho potatoes. Definitely would recommend this place if your willing to spend at least $60 a head and would love a beautiful romantic night out on the city.

I stayed in the hotel and this was my first place in Boise. I went for the 20 oz cowboy steak and I was very impressed. Great cut of meat and great flavor. The garnishments were not up to standards in my opinion. Potatoes felt and tasted like instant. I would have rated it 5 stars if the garnishments quality was up to the meat. Food is a bit pricey, but I felt the cut of meat was worth it. The live music was a nice touch.

Came here for my Birthday last week. Saw the great reviews but was ultimately left disappointed. We made reservations a week in advanced but was still unable to get a booth as requested. Staff didn't acknowledge our birthday celebration. Ordered a filet Medium-well and it came to us medium- rare. Potatoes were over seasoned. The tomatoes were the best part of this dish. Ended up sharing the dish with my husband and was not even given an extra plate as requested. After spending the year traveling to 40 different states and trying out dozens of steakhouses, this restaurant isn't measuring up to the locals hype.

Chandlers is second to none on their service and food quality. My wife and I have been a few times through out the years and have never been disappointed. Alex our server was not only polite but her recommendations were spot on for what we wanted for the night. If you have a chance to sit in her section we promise it will be a elevated experience. I had the ahi tuna dish and let me tell you that's the best tuna dish I have ever had. Thank you to Alex and the staff at Chandlers for a great birthday celebration.
