Attended a concert at the Chan Centre featuring the UBC Symphonic Orchestra. This venue is perfectly suited for such events, and music in general. Every seat offers great views and the acoustics are just right. The attrium overlooks lush greenery. Parking is available with special pricing for UBC Music concerts. In sum, an unforgettable experience.
Beautiful centre! The sound travels wonderfully! The architecture is beautiful! Love coming here the shows are always so amazing. The lobby and bar have great options. Even if you sit far in the very back you will have a great view!

Went to watch a musical concert with my daughters. We sat on the second floor back area and can hear the acoustic loud and clear. Very well built and well maintained. The usher provided booster seats for my daughters as she noticed they cannot see over some people's heads. We had a great time and my daughters had the opportunity to see for the first time in Canada 10 Steinway and Sons grand pianos in the same room played at the same time which was mesmerizing.
Great venue to see Vancouver Pops in concert. The seats were comfortable. The seats we got were closer than I thought at row 18. I kind of wish I sat further up or on the side balconies so I could see more of the orchestra.
I loved coming out of the performance and into the lobby that has floor to ceiling glass so we can see the forest and trees surrounding the building. It's very calming and refreshing! :)
Parking is convenient and plentiful as well.
A great venue to enjoy those numinous notes. Obviously, a modern and simple architecture without the legitimate ostentatiousness of your traditional opera houses or concert halls.
My mom sang here tonight but the organizers over sold tickets so I couldn't get in but I've been here before the sound is real good acoustics and it's a real nice concert hall also the surrounding area is very beautiful.. You can just about see stars not so bright though..
The Chan Centre For Performing Arts is one of the top venues in Vancouver.. this last Friday, August 9th we were absolutely lucky enough to attend the final concert of the Vancouver Bach Festival 2019....The Purcell Performance was exceptional.. and those in attendance demonstrated their appreciation with a very robust standing ovation...we will be buying our tickets for the 2020 season
Audibly speaking, the sound in this building is phenomenal. The building itself is elegant, classy, modern and cozy. TIP: when buying tickets choose 2nd, 3rd, levels or balcony. Main floor seats could have you look up and strain your neck through the performance. Bottom line: no matter where you seat the sound will be amazing.
