The Supreme Court situated on the Tilak Marg as well as the Mathura Road it is the two side open entrance and hence it is very easy to reach almost all modes of transport are easily available from here to commute to different parts of Delhi it is located very near to the income tax office of Delhi known as ITO the most closest District Court situated to the supreme court is the Patiala House Court which is situated on the Tilak Marg side

The Supreme Court of India is the highest judicial forum and final court of appeal under the Constitution of India, the highest constitutional court, with the power of constitutional review. Consisting of the Chief Justice of India and 30 sanctioned other judges, it has extensive powers in the form of original, appellate and advisory jurisdictions.[3]

As the final court of appeal of the country, it takes up appeals primarily against verdicts of the High Courts of various states of the Union and other courts and tribunals. It safeguards fundamental rights of citizens and settles disputes between various governments in the country. As an advisory court, it hears matters which may specifically be referred to it under the Constitution by the President of India. It also may take cognisance of matters on its own (or 'suo moto'), without anyone drawing its attention to them. The law declared by the Supreme Court becomes binding on all courts within India and also by the union and state governments.[4] Per Article 142, it is the duty of the President to enforce the decrees of the Supreme Court.
In 1861 the Indian High Courts Act 1861 was enacted to create High Courts for various provinces and abolished Supreme Courts at Calcutta, Madras and Bombay and also the Sadar Adalats in Presidency towns which had acted as the highest court in their respective regions. These new High Courts had the distinction of being the highest Courts for all cases till the creation of Federal Court of India under the Government of India Act 1935. The Federal Court had jurisdiction to solve disputes between provinces and federal states and hear appeal against judgements of the High Courts. The first CJI of India was H.J.Kania.[4]

The Supreme Court of India came into being on 28 January 1950.[5] It replaced both the Federal Court of India and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council which were then at the apex of the Indian court system.

Supreme Court initially had its seat at Chamber of Princes in the Parliament building where the previous Federal Court of India sat from 1937 to 1950. The first Chief Justice of India was Sir H J Kania. In 1958, the Supreme Court moved to its present premises.[5] Originally, Constitution of India envisaged a Supreme Court with a Chief Justice and seven Judges; leaving it to Parliament to increase this number.[6] In formative years, the Supreme Court met from 10 to 12 in the morning and then 2 to 4 in the afternoon for 28 days in a month.

The father of all Courts and the mother of all Laws... You simply can't enter and roam in its premises..

This is main court of India. And I love decisions of this Court. Bcoz decisions of this Court is very bold and clear. They always protect the rights of civilians. This is one pillar of our democracy. Without supreme Court, Indian's can't imagine about democracy. Not only for human, this Court always protect our nature, wildlife and natural resources. This Court give big decision on big issue like Dhara 377, triple talaqe.

It's pretty small, and there aren't too many exhibits, but if you're interested in law and it's evolution, the place is a must visit!

Supreme court of India must reveal the culprits who are responsible for looting the Pacl India limited investors. Billions of customers hard earned savings were collected by Pacl.I am 100% sure that Indian government, high court, police, regulators like Sebi's, politicians all are involved in this scam. Nobody has got the refund yet. 100 cr bribe was taken and nobody has been punished. I need justice. I am looted by India. 6 years of hard earned savings is gone. The over-rated court of all the time.
Their judges are the biggest fools of this country !
Just because it's supreme it doesn't mean that it gives justice to everyone. Justice rate for common citizen is very low.

Still we haven't make a gud act on against of rapist's.

Supreme Court of India is one of the Finest and Reliable place in view of Indian People. Most of the people believe what SCI deliver is absolutely right. I Just Say...SCI must do good work for the Benefit of Nation.

My request to you is when a case is registered in lower court they start giving dates on regular basis and for years nothing happens dates only.
So suggestion is give a date for next hearing after four years but when a case comes to hearing it should be decided in six months .
This will reduce crowed in the courts and work of court employs as they will not have move all the files. All this is normal procedure in developed countries in case of Medical care . I am sure at least it can be done this will reduce corruption and harassment to a certain extend
