Avoid using this company's service at all cost. They said they filed with Medicare, but they didn t. They said my 85 year old mother s service was not covered, but Medicare assured me that is was. Medicare never received any claims. This company is a scam.
I feel I am giving this company to much attention .... One of your employees was the rudest I've ever encountered. I asked him to move so I could get out from the dialysis center to take my patient home, he didn't know I was working, in with i don't this with the position he holds should of could him to be rude. And making your company look bad. I call Century ambulatory and was told they don't do pick ups there you employee was there
Worst company ever. Their billing practices brings to mind thievery, corruption and incompetence. Will have some else drive me to a hospital before I am transported by this company. I would post zero stars if that were an option.
Do not use if you can help it. Unfortunately, you don t usually have a choice when you need an ambulance. These crooks waited 10 months without billing or contacting us or our insurance. The first we heard was from a collections agency claiming that they were unable to locate us. We moved almost a year after we used their service, they had ample time to do things the right way. Their business is either conducted with extreme incompetence or maliciousness.
This company is crooked as they come. They only have customer service in India. You can never talk to an English speaking American. They cannot figure out how to adjust the coding to use a non-Medicare code. They NEVER call back when I asked to speak to someone of authority and educated. This has been going on since May 2018, and it's May 2019. This is absurd.
They transported me less than 10 miles. The people in the vehicle didn't sit by me, this was not an extreme trip. My insurance paid but they want much MUCH more. All told they want OVER a 1000.00 dollars for that 10 mile trip. Closer to 1200.00. I learned two things from this, never take an ambulance even if the hospital insists and at all co$ts, avoid this one. I feel scammed.
I am a firm believer in leaving honest reviews, and I have to let everyone know that I received EXCELLENT service from Century Ambulance Service!
Background: I live in Georgia and was trying desperately to bring a family member home from a hospital in Jacksonville who was released to Hospice care. I knew I needed to get him back to GA before his passing because it would take an act of congress to retrieve his remains if he passed in FL. I was informed that I would have to make the arrangements for transport as he was not "officially" a patient of Hospice until we signed the contract.
First off: I contacted many transport services in GA and FL to make these arrangements and was told "No" more than I ever have been in my life. Century was the only company that said "We'll do it". I spoke with Sonia over the phone multiple times and she was very compassionate and caring, she was always knowledgeable when answering my questions and never lost patience with me (no matter how many times I called). She understood that I was trying to advocate for my family member long-distance. When I advised that this family member was "difficult" at the best of times, Sonia assured me that they were sending their best team to get him and that he would be well taken care of. She was not lying...she even forwarded me the cell phone number of the team in case I had concerns during transport.
Next: I have nothing but glowing comments for the transport team, Gary and Rena!! When they arrived at the hospital, his discharge was not a drawn-out process, they took the time to make sure my family member was comfortable. Once on the road, Rena called me, (I didn't have to call her) and let me know where they were and how my family member was doing. Once at home, Gary and Rena got their patient into the house and remained with us, making sure their patient had oxygen until the medical equipment company arrived back at the house. They were both very professional, but also compassionate and understanding of the ordeal we had just gone through to get my family member home. Rena even hugged me before they got back on the road and said they would be thinking of us. Later that evening, I got a call from Rena, checking on my family member, my mother and myself (the caregivers).
I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for this company, Sonia, Gary and Rena for the EXCELLENT service they provided in getting my family member home! I will forever recommend them to anyone requiring transport, especially long-distance! Thank you all!
Rick and his co worker took good care of me when I was at St Vincent s er on Collins Rd June 9th. Being goofy, trying to take my mind off what was going on. Thank you both so much
I gave them 2 stars because the actual transfer of my daughter from one hospital to the other went fine, but if I was reviewing just the billing experience after, it would be no stars. I made a payment in December that was not credited to my account. It cleared my bank and I have the email receipt and the "order" number from Century. I have contacted them every month at least once a month and it is still not resolved. It is now June and I have never once been contacted by them to address this problem. As another commenter posted, they were also not in my network and BC/BS paid very little.
