I was here yesterday February 26th, was great as this young volunteer, his name is Mark and I was treated with the most respect. This young gentleman should be reconized as a paid employee. thank you Char
Note that you cannot access the building from the outside. You have go get inside the mall, the entrance is there . My experiences here: I was eligible for free tax assessment in my first year in Canada. I called first and an appointment booked over the phone. Process was very smooth and organized. Was done in no time. In December 2020, a new immigrant (a friend) chatted with someone on their website about concessionary bus pass and the need for a letter from a social worker. This was all taken care of via subsequent calls and email only. They were very efficient, fast and effective even giving my friend helpful tips any new comer would require. PLEASE NOTE she had tried other agencies but was unsuccessful probably due to Christmas holidays and further restrictions (from the government) brought about due to covid. All I'm saying is these guys at this center have been constant. Their services have remained topnotch even when you cannot access their office physically. If you are a new comer in the country, these folks at Center for Newcomers are there for you! Impressed!!! December 2020
I spoke today with one of indian lady whose name is rukmani she called my family members number of times regarding of job,my question is what is her job just keep calling people pretending she is doing well I think she is trying to keep safe her job nothing else
Such a wonderful place! Staff are so caring, very passionate about the work they do. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure inclusivity. Amazing advocates, so lucky to have them in our city!
I regret the minute i contacted the CFN with dishonest service and favoritism prevails instead of the welcoming and supportive nature of such organization i do not recommend this place at all
The only reason I am giving this organization a 1 star rating is because of one of its front desk customer service agents, an Indian woman who has refused me service twice, and seems to enjoy going the extra length to trouble immigrants. Apart from her, the staff is fair and helpful. She is the only unhelpful, vindictive, and maybe even secretly racist employee. Hope she gets fired soon!!!
