I have taken services of TCET as employee and employer both, and I am happy to recommend this center to any newcomer in Canada. As Job seeker they helped me change my resume and helped me apply to the job. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. As employer I did job fairs there and candidate turn out was very high. Amazing services on both side!
The job developers, especially Sony, are very helpful and personable. They have lots of services available for job seekers and employers. We will definitely be using their services again
I walked in for language assessment and somehow got connected to Job specialist Charline. I had recently been turned down by an employer for the lack of experience they required for that particular job position and was quite disheartened. The confidence and encouragement she gave me helped me getting back in the game. She also connected me to Job Developer Kumanan. During the very first session with Kumanan, the job search tips he shared and the motivation he gave the participants, I carried the energy from that session to an event I was attending later in the afternoon where I met my current and first employer in Canada. I was initially offered a part-time role but with Kumanan s help, it was soon a full-time permanent position which later on played out really well for all of us. I am exultant that I walked into TCET and got connected to my job specialist and job developer. I highly recommend you try their employment services if you are new to the country or need help with career guidance.
YJC program was a very effective tool to gain knowledge on how to apply and get a job; it was very practical knowledge!!
I learn a lot of information from the Youth Job Connection workshops that will be useful in my daily life. The job facilitator Julie shared details about interviews, stress management, goal setting to budgeting. The presentation of information presented was put together well and engaging. I even learned a new banana bread recipe.
I am thankful for Julie guiding us through the workshops.
I highly recommend to all of you guys about YJC. It's very very useful workshop for your career.
I had my appointment with my counselor Charlene who turns out to be a great human being and I sincerely hope she keeps up the good work. Kudos to them and looking forward to a great teamwork and partnership.
