Extremely poor customer service. Ming in admin has delayed the estimated response time to fixing a transcript error they made twice.

No reason or response to my questions seeking clarification.

I'm reporting them to ASQA, and submitting a complaint about Ming due to such poor communication.

An excellent teacher who made a challenging course most enjoyable.

I'm really enjoying elementary French.
Lachlan (the teacher) is super supportive and teaches cleary and enjoyably.

I have been attempting to study Spanish at CAE, but it is hopeless as they offer no ongoing classes. I did units ES1 to ES4, but when I wanted to continue, no ES5 was on offer. I enrolled in ES4 again, so as not to go backwards, but this was cancelled, even though there were at least 3 enrolments that I know of. I've just checked to see what is coming up next term, no ES4 or ES5 on offer. Not good enough, I'm going to look for alternatives to CAE. The teachers and course material are fine, but the administration is hopeless.

Completed Social Media Strategy for Business and SEO: The Key to Success short courses with Sue Ellson. Sue was very knowledgable and happy to share her experience. Would highly recommend if you want to learn and understand the fundamentals of digital tools for business.

Wasn t to impressed with my japanese course I paid for. The structure wasn t that well prepared and the other students seemed more interested in talking rather than learning. More of a slow paced study which was not what I was looking for.

My daughter began studying at the CAE in 2016. After a few weeks she began to be sexually predated on by a fellow student Wuyang Pan. I notified the CAE administration at least 2 dozen times but they did absolutely nothing. This same student was texting multiple death threats against me. The CAE did not talk to the student at all but instead talked to my daughter about these issues (sic). They even texted the harassing student Wuyang Pan and asked him to ask my daughter to delete all her texts showing his death threats. Basically they wanted to cover up sexual harassment. The only solution was for my daughter to cancel her studies and leave the institution.
A most unprofessional educational establishment, in my view.

So disorganised,teacher not good ,atmosphere not inspiring.Not happy at all.

I was here from 2010 to 2011 and for a city campus it's not too bad via flinders lane with alot of cheap eats if you know the right places to find them. The location is not large (especially via the outside of the campus and I highly doubt you'll be allowed to smoke outside there now!) as it's just a lane way but it's convenient though and you can't deny that, all modes of transportation are easy to find! The teachers in my time were surprisingly nice except for one by the name Lyle (who teaches English), that guy was an absolute dick to me and my fellow classmates as well and hopefully by now he's gone!!! It would be a great injustice if that glasses wearing fat sh!tlord was still there!! Regardless, you could do worse but be careful especially via the increased terrorism count around the city these days!! Beware of the high prices of enrolment (already $635 and that's concession as well, Hate to imagine full fare!!?!) in 2018 and above but don't blame the teachers as it's all politics and a government that fails the students and teachers alike in this day and age etc. Just be cautious of your environment and settings, keep your eyes pealed! Know your back streets/strips should "PANIC" ever sit in and find alternatives on the way home should an event ever arise! Hope I can enjoy/make it in 2 years without being blown up or run over via a terrorism incident! Stay safe!!!

I recently completed the two day Executive Assistant course facilitated by Jackie Wise and can highly recommend it for not only E.A's but for any Admin staff. The course transfers into our own lives and how we can enhance them too. Jackie is inspiring, motivating and insightful . The only criticism would be that the course could have been shortened into 1.5 days.

Did a basic Spanish class and the teacher was great, but the organisation was hopeless. Changed teachers, couldn't issue invoices, and then couldn't get another class together. Got tired of handing over the money and then finding out 24 hours in advance that the class wasn't running. Moved to another course elsewhere and it's been much better.

The class would be cancelled if there are not enough students enrolled. My Italian elementary 1 class has been cancelled twice, which was so disappointing.

When you receive an email saying the class has been postponed, you need to pay attention on this message because this means there are not enough students and CAE is trying to wait one more week see if there will be more people to enroll.

Often, they will notify you about the cancellation one day in advance. Only buy textbook when the class officially begins, as the textbook is not refundable!

An incredibly professional organisation that offers great quality language learning. Great value, totally worth your money.

I havent even attended a class here because no one would call me back for me to get the information I needed to be able to enroll. I called about 3 times, even with someone saying the course director would call me back. Disappointing.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Some years ago I signed up for a course that was cancelled and was offered a credit. What wasn't made clear was that the credit had to be used within six months, as I found when I phoned to check on the status of my account, since due to caring for an ill family member I hadn't had the chance to enroll in even a one day course. Then they had the hide to try to sell me another course!
Enroll at your own risk - clearly their priority is how many $$ they can extract from you.

Be careful with CAE they can have scam like tendencies, great for a short course if your looking to spend your time learning something new but when it comes to qualifications/diplomas I would recommend to avoid.

I was fortunate to attend Sue Ellson's excellent Social Media Strategy for Business course on Saturday July 20.

The course was very well paced and delivered with enthusiasm and passion.

As an experienced teacher I very much appreciated Sue's direct approach and the extraordinary amount of research that underpins the information covered in this course.

Sue's notes are right up to date and are extremely extensive.

Sue kept the information interesting by constantly framing it in a way that was relevant to the needs of individual participants.

I'd recommend this course to anyone wanting to begin to develop a social media strategy for their business and I'm very much hoping to be able to attend more courses conducted by Sue in the near future.

Hi , I did the Beggining Creative Writing Course , Megan Waters ran it . I have never enjoyed something as much, I want to do another course when it comes up. I had Megan review some of my rubbish , and it seems I may have a future as a kangaroo shooter , but not a writer . I'm still going to do another course anyway , so there ! I went there to take the AEAS test. Environment is significantly better than China. I got 61 points in the AEAS test.

I enjoyed the course whilst in class; not so much online. For this reason I will not do Elementary 2 mandarin until we're back in class.
