The people who work at the Y are always pleasant, welcoming, and happy to help. It really is a community. The camps were fun, educational, and most importantly right now, gave a sense of safety. My kids couldn't wait to get back the next day.
The Staff is phenomenal. From the folks at the Front Desk to the Life Guards to the Yoga Instructor (Erika). I'm a new member, two months in, and I love this center. Much friendlier than other Y's I've belonged to. The facility is very clean too which is vital to me. Instructor in program(s) are very kind and polite. I took one class with Camille and she was terrific. Erika is friendly and welcoming in yoga. Love that.
Great comprehensive facility with both indoor and outdooor pools, racquet ball and basketball courts, fitness rooms etc... This Y has friendly staff who care. My kids are enjoying the swim program, and I am getting my personal training session with Roland, who help me stay fit. Extremely impressed with the Central Y's diverse programs, summer camps, and classes. This place is well run and thank you for serving our community!
I am disabled and love the fact that the Y on The Alameda has chairs at both pools and Jacuzzi to help me get into the water. The lifeguards are extremely helpful. I love the water aerobic classes, I just wish there were more of them in the afternoon. The ppl that work there are all so helpful and polite. I had a challenge and the Manager Jim made sure all was fixed and came up to me when he saw me to ask if all was working well. The person I spoke to when I was irate was so polite and helpful, he was incredibly professional.
I love this place!! It has been such a blessing to me and my family. I bring my two children here several times a week. Classes are fun (for the kids and for me) and engaging and staff are so friendly...feels like a family. And its makes such a difference in my week to have a place where i can take care of myself by exercising and also do fun activities with my kids.
I recommend this Y to anyone with kids. The pool and the kids activities are what brought us to the Y and keep us there. My kids love Mr. Michael and his staff. The parents night out every month is priceless. We don t have a babysitter so we look forward to our kids enjoying a fun night of playing, eating dinner and relaxing while we get to do something without them.
Renovated our classic YMCA on the Alameda his year. Indoor/Outdoor pools; basket ball courts; handball courts; exercise rooms. New, fresh atmosphere.
Love this gym. Spend a lot of my time there. Home away from home.
