I passionately wish that the terminal would be utilized in a modern way because the historical value is there. The track lines are all there. However, the site is a near disaster. It would need significant rehabilitation. All the platforms would need to be demolished and rebuilt. The tower could become a major historical site, to include shops, offices, and eateries.
In the long run, it could help rehab the entire area/neighborhood where it sits.

Buffalo monster fix downtown canalside what about the Central Terminal nothing but space to beat develop what I think about this area and looks deserted abandoned and it has nothing to do with the people but how the city conducts itself so before the city starts revamping areas why don't they try looking at the areas that been sticking out like a sore thumb

We took the 2-hour tour which was very interesting. The building is very impressive but currently is still suffering from neglect and vandalism. The organization is really improving the building with authentic pieces

All this time I ve been adoring the building and just now found out you can visit for activities! I wish I would have found out sooner, I ve had personal connection to the terminal and it s a part of my family s legacy as my grandfather was with the war effort and later on worked with the trains and I have no doubt he d come across the terminal within his life and so the place had always been special to me.

I hope to see this place well and popular again and may end up spending my next summer volunteering to help around- let s see where the wind takes me!

Historic Buffalo NY location. Interesting architecture although it is in need of major repairs. Used as the sight of the Shelton Brothers beer festival. Maybe 90 plus breweries helped with the atmosphere!

Train station is awesome and someone needs to restore it. So much beautiful architect inside and out. I remember it so busy in the late 60's and early 70's.

I went to the Holistic expo here and enjoyed buying sage, candles, natural soap etc...I did the tour of the terminal, I really love the nostalgic vibes here and it was so creepy and fun. Also a good place to do photoshoots if you aren't afraid to check out the blocked off part of the terminal. Lots of foliage there.

What a beautiful building. So hope it gets completely restored!

Should be saved or torn down. I would love to live there

One of the best places I have ever been to. While not normally open to the public, frequent events are held here ranging from fairs and small scale conventions that sell a wide variety of goods. Historic tours of the property take you indepth and show you more than the main concourse - you'll get to see other floors and spaces that the team here has worked hard to clear of debris. New areas are always being opened. During late spring, summer and fall, paranormal investigations, or "ghost hunts" if you will, are held here with very large popularity and turn out. These hunts are hours long and completely worth it.

Word to the wise, do not trespass on this property. It will be tempting but just don't do it. The police are excellent friends with the owners of the building and are generally always close by. Enjoy this historic site properly, don't break in and risk getting hurt - it is in bad shape in some areas.

Absolutely worth every effort to visit when open to the public. A must see in the Buffalo Area.

Went for dyngus day...beers were not on ice...more port a pottys needed..still an awesome time...

Place is still trying to clean and fix but is run by donations made by the people and volunteers, so it will take a very long time if they ever catch up with everything and repairs! Just sad to see it sit when people can do more work than just on saturday!

This place is just so amazing. The history of the place alone is fascinating and the architecture is mind blowing...

Once a month there is a $15 guided tour. Book online at their website. It's a MUST if you are at all interested in the building.

Would get a 5-star rating from me if, they had the place up and running as it was in its heyday!!!

I was about 17 years old went at this place at Central Terminal Train station in 1970 rode old black train. I never forget that n the station is extremely huge n nice inside n walk all the way to gets tickets. And standing behind the station to waiting for the train arrives, went to Schenectady, N.Y. It a long ride, but I enjoyed n excited. I was with my Ex boyfriend going to his house for the weekends. I still lots of memories of those station. I may go back there to taken Amtrak train to going somewhere. What I heard at Central Terminal Train station have haunted. I'm afraid if the spirits around me. Gulp. Is the haunted still there????

The CTRC has been gradually opening up more of the old station all the time. I went on the annual Tower Day tour for the first time a few weeks ago, which was incredible. The views from the 13th floor were amazing and it is heartening to see the dedicated volunteers do so much. Worth coming back again, and be sure to check the website for the tour schedule.

It's an amazing place, if you like History then it's a great place.

This is a real interesting place to see for the history and photos. I really hope they turn this into something other than a location for venues in the smallest part of this massive facility.

Great history place get goose bumps when I go inside. When there try and imagine the hustle and bustle. At one time there was 700 trains that went thru there a day

An absolutely incredible and historic building! At its peak, 200 trains came through this terminal every day. It is nice to see the restoration work being done, but it still has a long way to go before it returns to its former glory. I hope to see it fully restored someday!

Dyngus day was a blast. The terminal is very cool. A Washington D.C. like feel. (Love d.c)Anyway they moved people well in side with well positioned beer venues and food. It was very clean btw. Even the bath room situation... Could always have more of course but this crowd maintained civility.... Of course there's always that a@#$_#. I would support functions here or have them.

Place is clean and I had an good time exploring the different levels when I was there for a ghost hunt.

I've always wanted to go inside the Central Terminal. As I was walking up I began to cry .

Sad to see the terminal as is. The Mayor needs to do more for the East side, the citizens deserve just as much as his neighborhood.

I love Trains and the Central Terminal. Today I did the Historical Tour at the Central Terminal. It was absolutely enjoyable. The tour guide shares the many historical/era facts about this terminal and the surrounding area, plus there's a man that shares personal stories that were shared with him from previous tour groups. It's this and that is what makes this an interesting tour for sure. There's surprises like the speaker who's dressed like a gangster Boss from that era. He is the one that shares stories about the Mob connection and activities that were carried out in the first floor Taxi office's area. He tells it while the tour group is standing in the actual staging area of where the action took place. This tour is one of thirty events held here from May to October. Come out and see this iconic structure with family, friends and enjoy yourselves for one or more awesome events held here.
