Really peace full. Beautifully laid. But you will need the whole day to see the park fully. The building known as Spook Central from the original Ghostbusters movie is located on the westside. Horse and cart rides are available to.

You'll find Lots of Friendly people and various types of dogs, along with a Wide Veriety of Fun Sporting sections spread out throughout the park, thats bound by amazing tracks of windy roads that go up slight hills and valeys,-- which make this Park a Place To BE.!))) I have been going to Central Park for over 40 yrs and this was the first time that the turtles from Turtle Pond have come out the water and walked over to me. I didn't get my camera out fast enough. The turtle had climbed onto my sneaker and looked up at me. Sorry lil one it says don't feed the wildlife.
Amazing time here. We went right before sundown and saw what we could in the time we had. It's still beautiful at night but we would recommend going earlier so you can take nice pictures and enjoy the scenery. Not to mention there's a lot of ground to be covered. Would obviously highly recommend.
Took a peaceful walk on a sunny Saturday morning. Ate a breakfast we carried in from Maison Kayser at the Strawberry Fields site. So fun to people watch the natives and the tourists. What a gem this is. We will visit again and explore a new corner.
One of my favorite places on earth. It s become a pilgrimage for me to walk up the Mall, past the vendors and musicians, down into Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. This place is so cliche for good reason.
Lovely on a warm sunny day. Kids had a blast cycling around the entire park. Lots of runners on the weekend, but no issues navigating around them
Horse carriage rides available in the park and bikes can be rented from the south west entrance. Enjoy a hotdog after trekking around the park!

This park is huge! Not being from New York I didn't realize this park was so big! It really is an awesome "getaway" form the rest of the city. A good place to come and relax or chill. If you're in New York you definitely have to stop by Central Park.
One of the most, if not the most well know park in the world, it's really big (you are going to need a few days to see most of it), with some many things going on, and so many iconic views from tv series and movies. Totally worth it to spend time there.
The place is beautiful, especially for pictures. Be ready to end up tired after all the walking you are going to do.

One of my favorite places in NY! If you're travelling to NY, I'm strongly recommend to take a tour around this park. We had a pedicab tour with Russian guy. He made this tour unforgettable! It was super interesting and fun!

Everywhere is fantastic, calm and peaceful. You wont finished it in a day though as its huge, so you need at least 5 times to go there to be able to go around every corner.
Make sure to bring good walking shoes. This park is huge. You can spend the entire day here. There are snack vendors at the park where you can snack on nuts. I do warn about street performances. They attract you by claiming they will do crazy back flips and what not. If you re the kind of person that likes your personal space beware of those guys. They will make a joke about you in public. If you like bubbles, there are men that make huge bubbles and charge you for photos. Besides all that, it s a wonderful place to go on a walk with your lover.
There is a perfect beginning in the morning. In the morning, all of them are jogging, cycling, and roller skating. They may have gathered the most loved and most healthy people in New York. There are also many people who walk dogs and squat children. Everyone who enters the park has his own purpose, and some are pure friendship.

Central Park provides NY the most needed nature. Nowadays it s part of the city s identity with plenty of locals using it for their workouts. It s lakes and gardens located in the middle of the skyscrapers are beautiful. Incredible!
Pretty good park. I wouldn t walk here at night. The park is very dirt though but that s all of New York no offense. Most of the streets are dirty and stinky

Central Park is always a wonderful place to enjoy some nature in the middle of New York's chaos. Just explore and enjoy.
Its huge, so give yourself a full day or 2 to see everything! Belvedere Castle has air conditioning..Walking around and stumbling into cool areas you recognize from TV shows and movies is fun to do.
It was winter when we visited so we got to enjoy watching and participating in some ice-skating on the public ice in the south part of the park. We also walked around on a Sunday and a Friday and it was cosy and nice with few people but still interesting to watch people play different games and some street music being played.
I loved this place, I felt the mixture of modernity and nature.

You can do anything in Central Park, and any area you enter from you re bound to find something amazing.
Personally I prefer it during the spring and summer when the trees and flowers have bloomed, but when the first snow fall, it s very beautiful to look at.

The most visited metropolitan park in the US with around 38 million visitors annually. The park stretches 840 acres in the middle of Manhattan between the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side. The park also home of famous attractions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park Zoo and Bethesda Fountain.
Perfect place to spend some time in the middle of the concrete jungle where nature exists through several blocks starting from 59th street by Columbus Circle.
You should watch out if you want to take a tour around Central Park as you will be offered non stop by the motor carts that can show you around. They go from $140 (rip off) down to $60 for about an hour inclusive of taking you back to the hotel if it's close by.
Here's what I would do, if you have 40mins to 1 hour to spare, take a walk around and you will see everything they were going to show you for free. You will cover all the main attractions as well plus it's much nicer on foot anyway, just grab yourself a map and make your way around by yourself. If you have more than an hour then you can more likely cover the entire park. That is given you don't stop at all attractions.
I would not suggest visiting the park at night although if you really want to, try stay by the edges of the park and never venture inside especially if you're alone.

What can i say. An amazing place for someone to visit. Everything is nice. You feel like you aren't in the city.
One of the main attractions of the city. The perfect place for a escape from the daily routine of the city, it can be either for a walk, jogging or sports.
The park has a lot to offer there are several location to photograph sit and relax, including Bethesda fountain, belvedere castle, strawberry fields, bow bridge, zoo Shakespeare's in the park, ice skating, boat house, the obelisk etc, it looks beautiful even in dry winters. Also the musician artists skaters horse carts shows adds icing to cake. It was made to get lost from the concrete jungle the city is and servers the purpose.
We had a very tasty meal that we shared at Tavern on the Green and then our cycle guide Sean from Ireland showed to us all the main highlights of Central Park and the surrounding area.
He then took us back to Times Square to our Hotel.
I went to the park today and there was a lot of people. I hope this do not bring more damage to the society. Stay safe guys. Keep distance.
A wonderful park with multiple smaller gardens which remind me of Versailles in Paris! Multiple benches and picture-worthy locales. Be sure to come back at night for even more views of the city lights reflecting off of the magnificent water features and ponds!

A must do when in Manhattan! We strolled through the park on our way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Then, returned again to enjoy some park musicians and artists. There are so many things to do. You can just walk as we did, you can eat at the park restaurant, you can rent a remote driven sailboat or row a real live boat in the lake. We enjoyed the park statues and sculptures. It was summer, so it got a bit hot during the mid day. My recommendation is that you visit in the early morning or early evening in the summertime.
I have also been to Central Park in the fall. This is my favorite season to visit. The trees are so beautiful. It is hard to believe that you are in the middle of a city!
I would not recommend going to the park at night since it is not safe then. During the day, I felt very safe.

Beautiful park with a zoo, small lakes, performers, artist, a coffee house, bar/restaurant, & lots of dogs and squirrels.
So much to see & do. Surprising amounts of beauty, variety, and fun to be had in the park. Bring a camera and good shoes. You can see a lot more on foot than you can if your on a bike.
Must visit when in new york!! Try to go in summer or early autumn for good view and experience warm weather!! I went in winter it s not that bad but it s freezing cold so you might want to layer up before you leave.

Let s talk about the WHY now : Wonderful walks, live performances by musicians on most days, live fun performance by groups, leisurely boat ride in the lake, rickshaws to take you around if you don t feel like walking, picnic spots, waterfall views, cycling paths! So many reasons to head to this place and spend a beautiful day!
Varied and wast, impossible to sum up in a simple paragraph. Plenty of space for most outdoor activities. In the North Woods you can almost forget you're in New York.

Central Park in Autumn is amazing. Ice Skating at Wollman Rink is also worth the walk. Relatively expensive but if you only visit NYC and can afford it, it's worth checking off of the bucket list!
first time going was amazing. there was skaters and musicians. there also was a dog park. this place has everything you can ask for from people on roller skates dancing to music to skaters failing tricks. this is a destination everyone will enjoy
I mean on a summer day its magical, if it's a simple walk thru the garden. Seeing the ducks land on the water or just sitting under a tree for shade with friends and family.
There is a cave where some fun stuff happened. There might also be something hidden in the park.
Beautiful park and I would really recommend the little food stall outside near the horse and carriage rides. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwhich, gorgeous.

I feel strange reviewing something so iconic as Central Park, of course I gave it 5 stars, it is arguably the best park in New York. Certainly the central location helps, and there are so many things to do in the park. There's baseball fields, ponds, a zoo, runners, picnicking and quiet places to just relax. One of those designated quiet spaces that I adore is Strawberry Fields off of the west 72nd entrance. The space is dedicated to John Lennon and has the Imagine mosaic on the ground. Depending on the time and day that you go, there might be a lot of people, but everyone should be fairly quiet. If Strawberry Fields is too crowded there are multiple paths that can take you to other places in the park that have less foot traffic. It is very safe during the day. I don't go at night so I can't speak to how safe it is after sundown, my sense it that you wouldn't want to be in a remote part of the park alone at night, however, the reputation the park used to have in the 80's no longer applies. It's a very clean, family friendly park.

It was lovely! There was a lot to see and do. It was clean and most places were nice and shady. It was rather crowded but what else would you expect? It's a nice place to have a picnic, take a nap, or go streaking with your friends.

All the pop culture descriptions don t compare with the magnificence and grandeur of this man made creation in the middle of place with sky full of buildings. It is an experience that defies words and yet I m trying to write a review.
It's a wonderful park that has a water element. The park is clean and garbage free. The age group is 3-10 the park is relatively safe. The trees smell wonderful and are beautiful scenery. They have clean restrooms as well.
Central park is one of the magical places of New York, where you can get lost between fantasy and reality, rich in history and happiness, at night it is a magical park where you can appreciate different species of nocturnal animals it takes you to dream and fly between the fantasy you can see the fairies "fireflies" and feel like a story. If you visit New York you can not miss visiting central park.
Finally got to go here during Autumn, and the park does not disappoint. It is a perfect place to unwind from the city bustle, and letting your bare feet enjoy the texturesof the grass there is therapeutic and calming. You even get a curious visit by some of the furry little locals once in a while. The colours of the season are gorgeous, and hours can slip by there without you noticing if you're not careful. Favourite place in NYC.
great place to visit lots to see it . very easy to get lost if u dont pay to your surroundings. great parks to play for the kiddos.
I love this park. When I go there it feels like stay more time. You can find a lot of things to do there: zoo, lakes, castle, playground, etc.
Bridges is another thing, there are many of them, really nice and iconic like Bow Bridge.
Conservatory Garden is a beautiful place in which people go to relax and appreciate the flowers.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is also there on the East Side of the park, a huge museum with great pieces of art.
An activity a recommend is taking a bike and ride the whole park is a really nice experience and it will take you about one hour.
There are also boats you can rent and spend a really nice time in The Lake.
A massively beautiful park right in the heart of the city. It is naturally a must visit for tourists. Be aware of the dates you go however, as the mobs of foot traffic, pan handlers, and off brand Disney characters is a bit surreal. DO however get the movie map and visit some scenes from iconic movies such as home alone.
Central Park takes you away from the hustle/bustle of The City life and puts you in a nice rural atmosphere...There are a diversity of things to enjoy...long walking trails, bicycling, a museum, a zoo, a lake to row a boat etc..the list goes on & on....Easy to access from anywhere in city,,, All major subway lines have Stops next to or very close to park...worth a trip there.

This park is beautiful but the amount of garbage in the lakes and ponds was sad. The statues were pretty and some of the plants and trees were labeled which was interesting. They were getting the park ready for spring so there was alot of pruning and sidewalk clearing going on.
Beautiful spot for a run, the track is fairly thin though so keep that in mind. Only for walkers and runners.

Have always wanted to come here and run around the park. And that's what I did in February! Who knew then that, that would be my last trip for so long! I can't wait to travel again but until then I have some good photos to remember my run
I loved that I was able to grab lunch, work remotely and hangout with friends all while enjoying the scenery
This park is just like the movies and video games you see it in. However, I would NOT recommend giving money or maybe even participating in some of the park performer performances. There was one acrobat who drew a crowd, did a flip, made a line of people he drew from the crowd, and then he asked for money from everyone that he drew from the crowed in front of a crowd of people and then he went around the crowd to ask for more money.
This would have been fine if he was to do a whole show or maybe even something that lasted a few minutes, but after accumulating so much money he did another flip and ended the show.
Went to the Conservatory Garden for a close friend s wedding and it is stunning! Beautiful place to have a wedding.
You can easily forget that you're in the middle of New York. The park has a wide variety of trees, it looks visually interesting and clean. We walked through it multiple times during our visit and I never got tired of it.

It is really big and you can spend a day just exploring.
It has a pond with the boat sailing.
Big rocks, a lot of grass to sit on.
During the winter it has an ice rink, where you can rent equipment if you don't have it with you.
If you are first time in New York I would advise you to try hot dogs over there =)
