Barcelona reference research center. Singular horseshoe structure that allows you to have a fascinating view of the beach and the sea. The structure is perhaps a bit old and should be better organized inside, especially in the laboratories. Otherwise it's ok.

If you'd like to do poor science but close to the beach and you're submissive enough to accept research misconduct CRG is surely your place.
Sadly it fits to the stereotypes about Spanish corruption and low culture level regarding work ethic, not to mention specific management style which reminds rather the time Spain spent under fascists.
Management there is disrespectful, use gaslighting and other mean tricks, playing their all hat and no cattle plot to rule the institute.
However good you're professionally, the very main PI there doesn't care about your skills, neither about quality of scientific results: having a pull with the EU grant bodies (like ERC, Horizon2020) and having disregarded COI, they intrigue and manipulate too much for the sake of their own ambitions and careers, so if you'd dare to resist their questionable working practice (like data manipulation and self-promotion through misconduct and lies: see Pia Cosma or M Lluch-Senar cases), you'd better be prepared that this place may be the end point of your scientific career.
