Winter is coming! But, is it really in Sydney with the sun shining bright, light breeze and Covid subsiding, everyone is at the park. Power walking, kids walking, dog walking (or Liveris lot do taking the owner for a walk from what I have seen) and exercising. Once exhausted from the fresh air, people of all ages flock to the Centennial Homestead for a cuppa and something to eat.
The menu is wide ranging for a cafe where you can get a toaster, cakes, sandwich or favourite classic hot foods like fish and chips!
Coffee served just right temperature and also the tea. The wait various depends on the queue, but barristers on hand work their magic to shorten customers waiting time.
I love hearing the various languages and kids crying or laughing because they are happy of the food or drinks. Adults chatting because they are filled with the heart warming and simple, but well made, food and drinks.
My stars are yours also when you visit!
CENTENNIAL HOMESTEAD is a lovely causal / semi-formal dining cafe / restaurant. Good services and Good food, not a great selection, but I understand that running a restaurant business is challenging at all times.
Best part is that Dogs are welcome at the Outdoor dining zone, hope cats are welcome too. All fury creatures are families members, if human babies and children are permitted, all Fury creatures of human families should be WELCOMED at all times, they are lovely, sweet, quiet, well-mannered and behave much much better than human's children.
We do visit Centennial Homestead every now and then.
Thank you.

Great location with park views and easy parking. Lots of space inside and out, with good hours from 8am - here or at the takeaway cafe around the back. Good interesting menu - we had the confit of mushrooms. Place becomes noisy inside with all the hard surfaces, even with a high ceiling - better outside if the weather is OK.
Great food and could cater for Gluten Free on most items on the menu.
If you like slow service and waiting over an hour for food, this is the perfect place for you. For years we have been getting coffee from the hole in the wall over on the over side of the restaurant before our morning walk. But today we thought we would give breakfast a go, and oh boy have we regretted that decision.
After waiting an hour for two simple breakfast items from the menu on a non busy weekday morning, we flagged the waitress and she said its coming and would only be another 5 minutes. 20 minutes later... We should have left. Over an hour and a half wait for food.
The food was weird. Like we got the sausage that sounded Italian, and it had soy sauce and Parmesan cheese on it. It was very reminiscent of "let's chuck together what we have in the fridge". No vinegar? We'll just use soy.
I would love to see a kitchen nightmares episode featuring Gordan Ramsay tear this place to shreds. I wouldn't bother eating here just grab a coffee from the back, there's so many better places around Randwick anyway.
There was no apologies for the wait which actually sucked. We won't be back.
Nice and peaceful eating joint located in the Centennial park. I ve tried their BLACK ANGUS BEEF BURGER (bacon jam, American cheese, kewpie mayo, tomato, pickled onions, lettuce, cornichons, thrice-cooked fries), and it was a good wholesome burger. All the ingredients in the burger were cooked well, and the chips were crunchy, big and bold as well. It s an ideal place for a catch up with your family and friends. For this reason I give this place 4 bears.
Great place to stop eat and drink, dog friendly. Bookings maybe essential on those special days. Happy staff and quick service I found.
Best place in Centennial Park to cool down after a good strenuous run or workout. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Grab some snacks for breakfast, energy drinks, smoothies, and a lot more options to try there. I had Lamb veggies roll and Passion fruit Yoghurt. I really liked that place. Enjoyed my post run snacks.
So good! Didn't even know.this place existed, great location, perfect for a family breakfast or lunch followed by a walk through the park!
Food is excellent and so was service. Will absolutely come back
