Celebration Homes Review

TERRIBLE Do not use.

They only have a 1 year warranty on the mechanicals..really? a Kia has a longer warranty than this house?

They do not warrant exterior siding installation defects. YEP! $1Million dollar home and the siding looks like wet noodles on the side of the house.

The Hardie siding they use is prefinished...you think that is good until you realize that any defect created while installing it shows up as the touch up paint does not match the actual paint.

Finally. THEY LIE ALL THE TIME. They even threatened me after I called them out for NOT following their own schedule of updates. The owner Threatend to cancel our contract if I did not remove a negative review. Now 2 years later, I am speaking up.

Lastly. Be prepared for no communication from the team. ZERO NONE. You WILL be in the dark the entire time and have no idea what is going on. This is the largest purchase most people have and this company dispresects you every step of the way.

Finally, gorgeous design however when you have an inspector come in and review your home CELEBRATION WILL NOT ACCEPT that inspectors report! why> Because that is how terrible their homes are.

STAY AWAY go to a better company like Ryan homes or Jones Company.

Tim Duncan and Shannan Maxwell have made the process for 1st time buyers exciting and as easy as possible. We are so happy we chose Celebration Homes as our builder in our 1st choice neighborhood! The included extras and add ons are fairly priced and exceeded our expectations. If your in the market you should definitely consider Celebration Homes!

Unsure of the quality of their actual homes as I have never bought one from them, however the follow up and care taken with lots they own in neighborhoods is subpar.
Celebration Homes currently has only 2 or 3 lots left to build on in our subdivision, Masters View. They stopped mowing them for about a year and a half until many complaints were called in to their office. Now that they do send a crew out to mow, they only half way do their jobs as they don't weed eat around anything causing protruding weeds.
The current issue we face with them is the lot next door to my house is very poorly maintained and there is still debris on the lot from other homes being built around us. There is a huge pile of boulders, rocks and dirt that have been piled up on this lot causing an eyesore. But the bigger problem is the bugs, ants in particular, that have taken up residence on this pile of rocks. They have formed a giant ant hill at the summit and have now chosen to infiltrate our home as well. We have had to call professionals to have this rectified in our home and have reached out to Celebration several times for them to maintain the lot and take care of this situation. They have yet to do anything other than have the sales agent for the model home call me back. He is only a yes man and will say whatever necessary to get me to stop calling about this.
If you've made it this far in my review, just know their customer service is absolutely atrocious and I would not recommend them at all.
The level of attention they show to lots they still own in our neighborhood makes me glad we do not own a home built by Celebration Homes.

Celebration has been great to work with. My wife and I are building our first house and they were very open to changes and ideas from us on the floor plan we chose. Patrick has done a great job in communication and working with us on each little detail.

I have had the privilege to work with the Celebration Homes team for many years.
Building a new home is quite the experience but from the first step until the last step, everyone is responsive, helpful and dedicated to building you a quality home.

RUN!!!!! I don't regret many things but buying a Celebration Home was a huge mistake. Let me begin by saying the sales experience with Kelly was really good, she did a great job communicating and has been very prompt in her responses. Other than that, I have nothing positive to say. I chose Celebration versus the other builder in this development as I THOUGHT the experience was better. Turns out I could have received the same disappointment at half the cost. It began with the dump truck driver's urinating in plain sight and contractors stealing our water. The blasting that has occurred 30 yards from my home. My wife and daughter could not take my dog out without being asked to go inside by contractors so they would not be hit with debris from the blasting. Workers hanging out in the lots around me burning trash for amusement. Sleeping on running heavy equipment. No internet for 2 months as Comcast and At&t have been waiting on construction. No street signs in the event of an emergency.

The dirt work behind my home which I assumed would be completed rather quickly has been going on since we moved in 4 months at this point. So we began to take pictures and video of the work for documentation purposes. We noticed the existing dirt was being removed and other dirt being brought in at the same time. I asked Chad the project manager for Celebration , who attempts to avoid me because of an ongoing issue he has been promising to fix, he does not follow through with fixing issues that were discussed. I asked him what the plan was behind my house. His response was "that's the developer and they don't tell me anything" I then reached out to a supervisor for Summit the contractors for the developer and he advised me he really didn't know when the work would be completed as they are stockpiling dirt 15 yards from my property. Chad's response outlined the issue, there is no communication between the development and the builders. I wondered why they would build my house and the ones that surround me in an area where the volume of work we are experiencing is still occurring. We have documented as many as 2 bulldozers, 4 dump trucks and an excavator all operating at the same time creating an insane amount of noise. My wife works from home daily, I work from home a couple days a week and my daughter is doing the hybrid option for school. We can't concentrate because of the constant sound of the machinery. I knew we were buying new construction and had an expectation of continuing work but we are way beyond those expectations. We can not have coffee or enjoy our patio on lunch due to the work. There are multiple areas in this development where dirt can be stockpiled and the decision was made to put it 15 yards from my property line. The contractors are disrespectful, they block streets and don't want to move. I have had visitors who have been stared at, given dirty looks and delayed by the contractors not allowing them to pass. I sent an email to Celebration and the developer neither have returned my email. Once you close on the property they are done with you.

Moved in our house in Dember 2013 in Murfreesboro, TN. Within two and half years of being in our home, our heat/air unit had to be replaced. Before being replaced, the unit had been worked on 3 times since we moved in. When the unit malfunctioned again this year, the service company I used found out the unit was never registered for warranty and the vendor Celebration used to install the unit had already gone out of business. The vendor never answered the phone in 2013 when the first call was placed to service the unit. Representatives from Celebration are unresponsive to our compensatory concerns. Terrible customer service.

Celebration Homes is a locally owned business that will go out of their way to solve customer issues if given the chance. All home building experiences are stressful and they realize that. I 100% recommend this company!

We found Patrick Thornton to be very knowledgeable. He made our contract signing process for new construction very smooth and simple. Thank you Patrick!

Highly Recommend! Tim Duncan and his team have been very professional and easy to work with. I live out of state and have to rely on continual updates and communication. I couldn't be more pleased.

We had already heard great things about Celebration Homes so started our home search by seeing what communities they were currently building in. After discovering Harvest Point through this, we decided we might as well pick out a few different floor plans from the other builders in the neighborhood as well and go check them out.

Our first meeting was with Tim Duncan and Celebration. He was amazing in his presentation of the floorplans we inquired about, along with showing us a market home already in the works that happened to fit the description of what we desired.
After talking with Tim and discussing details we didn't even realize we needed to consider, we were able to narrow down our home search even more.

We went ahead with our next meeting with the only other builder who's floorplans we liked in the neighborhood. The meeting with this other builder was totally different. I must say, Tim had set our standards so high as to what questions they should be able to answer.
Every question I asked with this other builder seemed to be twisted into trying to squeeze more out of us or they just plain didn't know what they were talking about (not sure how they had their job).
We literally cut the meeting short and ran down the sidewalk back to Tim! We were so relieved when we saw he was still in the office and couldn't get over telling him the difference we had just experienced!
He stayed late with us that evening and laid out our options going through the pros and cons of each.

I knew Tim was the guy we could trust and let him take us through each detail. We actually ended up going with the market home he suggested for us in the very beginning and could not be more excited to be closing on it today!!!

We told Tim the second we ran back over to him that day we would be getting our home through Celebration based on our experience with him before we even were sure which house/floorplan we wanted. Tim was so patient and knew his stuff! If there was a question he wasn't 100% knowledgeable of the answer for, he made sure he still got it for us. He was so clear in ever detail of the process that it was easy to feel secure in our decision as well as plan for the final product!

We always look forward to our updates and meetings with Tim, he definitely has given Celebration a good name with us!

Also, thank you Tim for putting up with our 1 year old and tendencies to run late during the process while still making sure we got everything we needed out of each meeting! We couldn't have gotten to this point without such an awesome team.

We couldn't be happier with our new Celebration Homes home! Sean Smith was wonderful to work with, we love the neighborhood, and the finishes in the home are so beautiful as if we picked them ourselves. We would definitely recommend Celebration Homes to friends and family and would use them again in the future.

"YE BE WARNED!" Remember that if you choose to purchase a home here from CELEBRATION HOMES. Visiting my parents at their new home in Nolensville outside of Nashville, TN and they have relayed to me the horrible experience and poor quality of work provided by CELEBRATION HOMES AT BURKITT PLACE. "It has been such a nightmare," my mother said. It was constant negotiation to get a finished product that was of quality craftsmanship and continues to be a battle as more parts of the home show poor quality of work. Moldings are not flush with walks and stick out. The dish washer was not flush with the surround molding, the microwave bottom is bent and was shamefully covered up with caulking. It seems as though if the builders could skip any step that shows quality, they did. Sure, the walls are up and the house is functional, but when paying to build a custom home, and you daily realize at every turn there shows a lack of care from the builder, you feel as though your investment was more of a theft. If you're looking for a place that will take your money and produce a quick product with minimal effort while hiding behind the facade of untrue claims such as "custom" and "quality", then pick this place. I WILL BE adding pictures soon once I compile them all. DO NOT PURCHASE a home here unless you're ready for an overdue crap home held together with tape (which is basically falling off every corner of the walls). Like I said, "YE BE WARNED!" FYI: This company is starting to take down these comments as they are afraid of the repercussions of their actions and do not want their online reputation to be negative. You guys wanna play, I'm in ;)

Patrick Thornton helped us sell our house QUICKLY for FULL ASKING PRICE. Pat and his team with Celebration Homes marketed our house wonderfully. The pictures and virtual tour video were amazing! The Sure Sale Program helped to save us money, and the process could not have gone more smoothly. Meanwhile, our house has been under construction and framing is nearly complete! Celebration Homes focus on quality is very clear! Thanks again Pat for your HUGE part in making our dreams a reality!

We worked with Luke Chapman regarding our 1 year warranty inspection. Luke was on time at all three appointments and worked along side of his crew to ensure everything was corrected and managed to our expectations. Luke was professional and courteous in speaking to us about our repairs and timeline. I would highly recommend working with Luke in situations like this as he knows what he is talking about and makes sure you do too.

My wife and I have been looking throughout the Murfreesboro area to build our new dream home and stumbled into Celebration Homes at South Haven after a long Saturday morning of driving around. Dropped in unannounced and met Tim Duncan, who patiently took us through the model, then out to several homes in process of being built. After months of searching, we knew we found our builder! So far Tim has been very attentive to all of our needs and is readily available to accommodate any requests we have. We were so impressed with him that we asked him to help us sell our current home! We are still in the process, but so far we could not ask for a better experience.

As a new home technology consultant, I visit a lot of homes/builders throughout the middle Tennessee. Celebration by far has the best product that I have seen. Their sales staff is always very friendly and their model homes are stunning. I highly recommend checking out Celebration Homes if you're in the market for a new home.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Run the other way!!!!
We signed a contract and put down money on a home in Mt. Juliet in Walton s Grove. We had a lack of response from our sales agent (in retrospect, this is while he was likely battling with the other customers and upper management/ ownership) the days leading up to our design appointment. The day before our Design Center appointment, we got a call from the sales agent saying they made a mistake and that the home was going to someone else because another couple verbally told them they wanted the lot prior - with NO CONTRACT OR MONEY DOWN like we did. Horrible experience; DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you re under contract with Celebration Homes, you should probably follow-up throughout the process to ensure the home you re buying is still yours.

We met with Jessica Gary for our design selections meeting and she was AMAZING! She was super thorough and patient as we selected items for our home. The whole process was great and we are so excited for our new home!

We have built 11 homes over the course of several decades of moving for our employment. Our current Celebration Home was the easiest as Anne and Ed Rainey worked along side us step by step to assure we planned properly for the future and provided many options that enhanced the experience and helped us stay in a reasonable budget.

I cannot say enough about Celebration Homes. Let me start with Tim Duncan the agent at Harvest Point in Spring Hill. He made the experience of finding a home exceptional. He was responsive to text, met us at the model home, told us all about the neighborhood and was just an all around nice guy. Even if we hadn't decided on a Celebration home we would have made Tim our friend. He went out of his way 3 days in a row to accommodate schedules. He was a wealth of information and if he didn't know the answer then he quickly found out. The details in the Celebration Homes are beautiful. Everything from the rounded corners to the wood vent a hood about the stove is way above industry standards. They just build a good house and are great people. We will recommend Tim and Celebration homes to all of our friends. Thank you for being customer service driven!

My wife, CJ & I, have been Williamson Cty residents since 1984. About 2 years ago, we made the decision to move from the northern part of our county, to somewhere a bit further south and away from Nashville growth. We had lived in that home for about 24 years, so deciding where and what to buy was a tall order for us. We did have a few items in mind regarding our next home. In looking around at the possibilities, we decided to look into the Berry Farms development. While going thru the model home one Sunday afternoon, CJ discovered a friend from childhood & Celebration Homes' Realtor, Anne Rainey. Anne became the perfect Teammate, in assisting us with lot purchase, home design, and construction. We have lived in our new Celebration Home for a little more than a year, and we could not be happier with our decision. We cannot say enough good things about Pat Thornton! We live out of state and we're nervous the process would very difficult to coordinate but Pat has gone above and beyond with being available to answer all of our questions and concerns. This man does not stop working! Pat has been so enjoyable to work with and we would highly recommend him to anyone!

I have bought numerous new homes and Celebrartion Homes is the BEST. It's all about the people. Tim Duncan primary contact and who we bought the house from is awesome in everyway. Cares about what we want and spends extra time with us making sure everything is correct. Jessica on the Design Team, really helped my wife on options and ideas. It wasn't about spending money it was about what she thought we would like. Wil on the plan and final layout explaining everything in detail. Explained things in terms that we could understand. Dealing with Celebration Homes has been one of the most ongoing frustrating experiences of my life. What Celebration advertises is not what they deliver.
-Celebration advertised street lamps. 9 years later with all houses built NO street lamps. Celebration just kept building knowing it was an issue saying it was the developer who says it's the builders responsibility. Again building is complete with NO street lights. Celebration advertised lights.
-Celebration advertised a private lagoon. Private lagoon for the developer not the residents. Duck blind leased to hunters for years on our PRIVATE Lagoon. 5 babies under a year old this past duck season being woke by gunfire (legal since the blind is just past the 100 yard buffer). Celebration never disclosed this to buyers even though it has been going on for years.
--the landing to the lagoon has been tore up so badly residents can't even keep it mowed resulting in excessive snakes this year.
-Celebration still has a rental in the subdivision. Yard upkeep was so bad pictures had to be sent to Celebration to have it mowed while it sits empty. The number listed on the house would not pick up and their mailbox was full so we had to go thru a Celebration VP to have it mowed.
-Celebration APPOINTED an HOA board without notification or an election. They were voted out the second meeting.
-the list goes on and on over the years. Their only concern is to keep the developer happy so that Celebration can build another subdivision behind this one without the infrastructure complete in this one.
-as far as the actual home building quality it is average at best. Added square footage to the original plan. They used an undersized heating and cooling unit, not enough roof support causing excessive creaking in high winds, garage door button fastened to the dry wall without the metal backing causing the door to literally come down on my truck, plumbing not connected correctly, concrete cracks and breaking down. The list goes on. If I listed all the different issues my neighbor's have had with their NEW homes the list would be extensive with many things hidden or not showing up for years.
Good luck if you have or are considering a Celebration Home. Again this review only scratches the surface of dealing with them.
